Jewish Dancers Attacked in Germany
by Maayana Miskin
(Israelnationalnews.com) A Jewish dance group was attacked in Germany last Saturday while performing during a street festival in Hanover. The incident led to discussion this week of the phenomenon of anti-Semitism among immigrant youth.
Members of the Haverim dance group were pelted with stones as they took the stage. One dancer was injured. As youth threw stones, they screamed “Juden Raus” (Jews out).
Six suspects ranging in age from nine to 19 have been identified. Five of the six are Muslim immigrants.
Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, said the incident showed the “widespread” hatred of Jews and Israel in Germany's Muslim immigrant community. “It particularly saddens me that those anti-Semitic views can already be seen with such vehemence among children and youths,” she told the Die Welt newspaper.
Another Central Council member, Stephan Kramer, expressed concern, telling the Associated Press, “This latest incident shows something we have not experienced before: A growing radicalization of young Muslims, which affects not only the Jewish community but the entire German community.”
Hanover Mayor Stephan Weil said his city had filed charges against the attackers. They stand accused of incitement to racial hatred and causing bodily harm.
Jewish organizations in Germany said anti-Semitic incidents had been unusually frequent in recent weeks following a clash between IDF commandos and members of a Turkish terrorist group. The clash took place at sea as the Turkish citizens, along with other foreigners, attempted to break Israel's naval blockade of Gaza.
Attacks based on anti-Israel hatred were not unheard of prior to the flotilla clash either: In May, attackers set fire to a synagogue in western Germany, leaving a letter that said, “Until you leave Palestinians alone, we won't leave you alone.”

The ominous feeling of ..... danger - Avi
June 24, 2010 - Diaspora
Update from the Galut.
1) Anti-Semitism is on the rise...everywhere
2) Muslims are taking over Europe...baby by baby and immigrant by immigrant as you read this!
3) The so called "Flotilla" to provide aid to the so called "Palestinians"
4) Obama is the POTUS and is clearly anti-Israel
5) The economy in the US is grinding to a slow methodical halt.
6) The Government of Israel remains feckless and secular.
7) Assimilation seems to be increasing...
8) Muslims are using Western and Democratic laws to gain a foothold in the US. The birthrate concept, could threaten this Democracy.
9) The divisions in Judaism are clearly helping Assimilation.
10) The issue in the Galut of the US - "American Jew" or "Jewish American" seems to be based solely on the belief in HaShem. Whether or not I follow the statutes 100%...has personal consequences. As a Jewish American I care about Israel and want a non secular Government ...even if it will affect me if (when) I make Aliyah...by setting rules that may require me to be more Observant! I welcome the LAWS!
11) Iran is the largest threat to the entire World, but Israel is clearly it's first target.
12) The Anti-Semitism that is here is beneath the surface...not to far beneath. There are probably more people who are not racist...but there are so many more people in general...that there are more racists as well.
13) The black community in the US are not only driving while Black...they are (fill in the blank ) while Black.
Generally speaking even though Black people in the US do not consider Jews to be White...we are certainly not their friend or ally.
14) Xtians want us gathered to Israel for the Rapture, Hezbollah wants us gathered to make the targeting easier, Baptists want us Baptist , Presbo's want us gone, Employes still want us as Lawyers, Accountants and Dr's, Jewish Americans want Moshiach to come, Amercan Jews want us all to get along and PEACE, and so on.
15) The more I look at the Map in the US the more I see where we live..and I know why. The Southern Jews are mostly in Fl, becasue we all know that Fl is not part of the south...the rest are nuts.
16) The more we try to hold culture in the Us...the more we will be accused of...of...of.... not Assimilating!!
So it is a lose, lose....If we Assimilate...we become extinct and if we don't Assimilate there will be many who want to make us extinct.
The World is clearly against Israel.
Based on belief in Hashem and the Redemption....this is the way it is supposed to be before Moshiach comes.
So what will happen in the Galut? Will it start here first?

Tips on the Temple-building -- Obadiah Shoher
“I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will
say to the north: ‘Give up,’ and to the south: ‘Keep not back, bring My
sons from far, and My daughters from the end of the earth.’” -Isaiah 43:5-6.
Jewish emigration from the countries east and west of Israel was relatively
free, but very hard from Russia (north) and Ethiopia (south). Do you think that
was a coincidence? “I will bring them from a northern country” (Jeremiah
31:7). At the time of Jeremiah, there was no Jewish Diaspora worthy of note
north of Israel.
When? “With fury poured out, will I be king over you… and I will purge out
from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against Me; I will bring
them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the
land of Israel… and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you
out of the countries wherein you are scattered, with a mighty hand.” -Ezekiel
20:33-38. Holocaust, then the creation of Israel.
Some corroborating details, perhaps? Sanhedrin 97a, “In the generation of
messiah, Torah scholars will meet in brothels [as happens routinely in Tel Aviv
slums], Galilee will be no more [Arab, off-limits to Jews].… border residents
will move from town to town, met with disapproval [Sderot, Kiryat Shmona
evacuees]…. God-fearers [haredim] will be despised. The face of the generation
will be a dog’s face, and truth will be lost.” More details: “Wine will be
expensive despite plentiful harvest, and the entire government will fall into
apostasy.”
“I the LORD will hasten it in its time,” -Isa60:22. Sanhedrin 98a explains
that if Israel deserves it the salvation will come fast; otherwise it will come
in its own time. Such a reading is divorced from Isaiah’s text, which promises
to hasten the events without qualification. This can only mean that the time
will run faster at the end of days, as in the Mayan concept of time.
The rabbinical doctrine of the supernatural messiah was meant to dissuade Jews
from running after every savior. That approach might have saved the nation, but
perhaps, on the contrary, it prevented us from liberating our land long ago,
when Jews were more numerous than Palestinian Muslims. Rabbis laboriously
explained absurdities or metaphors such as the Danielic promise of messiah as
someone “like a son of man” flying on the clouds (Sanhedrin 98a), instead of
concentrating on much more sensible earlier prophecy where the messiah is said
to ride a donkey, meaning that he’s a common person. But you don’t expect a
Temple to descend from heaven at the call of someone who rides a donkey—or
even a BMW—and rabbis, averse to building the Temple in mundane ways, wait for
the heavenly figure subject to Shas approval.
The concept of heavenly salvation is a perversion of Judaism. God doesn’t act
in the world directly. Even the Flood was a completely natural event. Everywhere
the Scripture says that God did this or that, it’s a metaphor for Israel:
“God discomfited Sisera” (Judges 4:15) means merely that Jews defeated him.
So it is with the heavenly Temple and messianic wars: God wages wars by enabling
us to do so.
Support for any political agenda can be found in Tanakhs fanciful prophecies
and their even more fanciful interpretations. This childish game is silly. I
have no doubt about God’s existence, commandments, etc., but I cannot make
myself believe the nonsense of heavenly son of man or, for that matter, urim and
tummim. It is written rightly that God doesn’t perform miracles by violating
the laws of nature. The high priest didn’t speak with God in the holy of
holies; he did not consult the magic amulets; the Ark, if it’s so immensely
holy, won’t have fallen into the hands of heathens and disappeared. And no, I
don’t believe it is hidden below the Temple Mount.
The end is near. The time runs faster, Israel is gathered from all corners of
the earth, Zechariah’s two-thirds are lost in Holocaust and assimilation, and
Jews returned to Zion with force and miracles. Stop wasting time on theological
nonsense. Recognize that the Temple won’t descend from heaven. Go build it
yourself.

An Urgent Message from Prof. Paul Eidelberg
Iran has declared war, threatening to "wipe Israel off the map." It would be foolish and criminally irresponsible to minimize this threat. Iran will soon have the nuclear weapon to fulfill this Islamic goal.
Since Israel cannot depend on the United States to prevent Iran from getting the bomb, or protect Israel by means of a nuclear shield, Israel must preempt even if this will only delay the Iran's nuclear development.
Israel's government must understand that a nuclear armed Iran will (1) curtail Jewish immigration to Israel; (2) increase the exodus of Jews from Israel—those having means and talents to settle in another country; (3) decrease the birthrate of Jews in Israel; (4) increase the proportion of Arabs in the Knesset via the charming democratic principle of one adult-one vote; (5) diminish economic investment and development in Israel; (6) increase Arab terrorist attack on Israel from both Hamas and Hezbollah—all of which points to the end of the Jewish state.
Now, this state of affairs demands that Israel replace its dysfunctional system of government where five or six or more rival parties form the Cabinet. Israel requires a presidential system and for reasons best articulated by Alexander Hamilton the Federalist Papers as the present writer has proposed during the past two decades.
During the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln acted as a dictator, as did Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt, respectively, in the First and Second World Wars. Israel cannot afford a plural executive consisting of the leaders of rival political parties, each with its own priorities and ambitions.
An alternative remedy is to increase the parliamentary electoral threshold to 10 percent, as was proposed by David Ben-Gurion. Of course this will be opposed by the small parties, but that is precisely why Israel urgently needs a unitary or presidential system of government.
We're at war kindelach, and if you want to have grandchildren in Israel, you'd better act NOW!

Addendum to "Critically Needed: Moral Clarity" - Paul Eidelberg
It is well known that a large majority of the Congress of the United States is at least verbally supportive of Israel, even though, year after year, Congress has allocated hundreds of millions of dollars to Israel's enemy the PLO or Fatah-led Palestinian Authority. Of course, Congress was bankrolling the Middle East policy of the Administration.
Since Israel has friends in Congress and enjoys the support of most Americans, it is only natural for Israeli prime ministers to visit America.
However, America, for the first time in its glorious history, has an anti-American president whose Muslim roots have made him conspicuously anti-Israel, which hostility may well be construed as anti-Jewish. Moreover this president wants to emasculate Jewish retention of Israel's capital, Jerusalem.
Therefore, an Israeli prime minister should not go to the capital of the United States, Washington, D.C., for to do so is to dignify the present anti-American occupant of the White House, Barack Hussein Obama —a fortiori, because his occupancy of the White House may be fraudulent according to various law suits claiming that Mr. Obama is not a native-born American.
Leaving this controversial legal issue aside, it’s safe to say that Mr. Obama, who disgraced America by bowing to Saudi King Abdullah—the ruler of a totalitarian regime that trafficked in black slavery—will not visit Israel during his presidency. And this, despite the fact that fifty retired Army and Air Force and Marine Generals and fleet Admirals very recently warned Mr. Obama that Israel is a strategically important asset of the United States.
I have said and reiterate that the Prime Minister of Israel must uphold his nation's honor. To do so, I now add, is to sanctify the Name of God.
I dare say that Israel's current humiliation and precarious situation is a result of the failure of its Prime Minister to recognize that he would not be living in Israel or holding his office were it not for the Covenant at Mount Sinai and the countess millions of Jews who have upheld that Covenant—yes and have suffered millennia of torments to Sanctify God's Name.

Critically Needed: Moral Clarity - Paul Eidelberg
Israel has never been in greater need of moral clarity. Why? Because it faces annihilation.
To begin with, let's consider a worst case but not an unrealistic scenario.
Any of Barack Obama's statements to the contrary notwithstanding, this self-professed and mendacious Muslim wants Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. Why? To enable Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to fulfill his Islamic vow to "wipe Israel off the map."
If so, Israel must preempt, despite the danger of Iran turning off the oil flowing through the Persian Gulf (which Iran could readily do anyway if it has nuclear weapons).
However, if Prime Minister Netanyahu lacks moral clarity, more precisely, if he remains paranoid about "world opinion," he may not give the IDF the green light.
This paranoia is a Jewish problem primarily resulting, of course, from millennia of European Jew-hatred, and secondarily from a servile view of morality, whereby Jews prefer victim-hood.
Even the Six-Day War did not cure Jews of this malady or lack of moral clarity, since their timid government offered to return the land regained by the IDF for "peace."
Another but related factor is the loss of Jewish national pride, the obverse of Israel's paranoid quest for the approval of the nations. Ariel Sharon proclaimed that his cozy relationship with George W. Bush was Israel's strongest asset. Netanyahu was crushed by Obama's rude treatment of him earlier this year in Washington.
I told a religious member of the Knesset the following: "Obama bowed to Saudi King Abdullah. Bibi bowed to Obama. This was followed by the Gaza Flotilla. A Prime Minister of Israel should not even go to the United States. Upholding Israel's honor should be his paramount concern."
Let me add this. Anwar Sadat was assassinated because he went to, and thus dignified—in Muslim eyes—the Jewish state.
Now ponder this double entendre. Bibi, after degrading Israel by endorsing a Palestinian state on the homeland of the Jewish people, laid down the humiliating condition—humiliating primarily to Israel!—that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
Why would any Israeli prime minister with a stitch of Jewish pride give a hoot what the nations of the world think of Israel—nations that worship Mammon and respect only Power?
The people of Israel, degraded by one morally obtuse prime minister after another, are in critical need of moral clarity.

Thinking Outside the Cave - Paul Eidelberg
Part I: In Search of a Jewish Agenda
Journalists necessarily focus on daily or transient political events. I try to understand the unseen meta-political causes of these events. Hence I invite people to think outside of what Plato called the "Cave."
(1) Ask any pundit why the world is so focused on Israel and most will blame Israel's handling or mishandling of the "Palestinian problem"—today the "Free Gaza Flotilla."
(2) Ask Israeli pundits why so many nations support Hamastan in Gaza, a terropolis, vis-Ã -vis Israel, and a large majority will point to "anti-Semitism."
Apropos of the Flotilla fiasco, one pundit said Israel's Government lacks a strategy. "The first rule of strategy," says this pundit, "is to keep your opponent busy attending to your agenda so he has no time to advance his own." Okay, but what is Israel's agenda?
I've been studying Israeli governments for more than three decades, and regardless of which party or party coalition is at the helm, its agenda is preoccupied with the Arab-cum-security problem. It seems to me that this fixation is a quasi-paranoid manifestation of a cave mentality.
I contend that the world is down on Israel because its Government, by focusing on the Arab problem, ignores what is far more fundamental—the Jewish problem. Cave dwellers can't deal with this problem. It demands thinking outside the Cave.
Put another way: Although Israel's Declaration of Independence refers to Israel as a Jewish state, Israel's ruling elites don't even know what is a "Jewish state"! None has formulated, in terms comprehensible to the average citizen, the ends, the institutional means, and the foreign policy appropriate to a Jewish state ensconced in the hostile environment of the Middle East. More important, none has set forth the kind of public education required to enlighten Israelis and toughen them vis-a-vis their genocidal enemies.
Perhaps this compounded failing is the esoteric reason why the world is down on Israel? After all, if Israel is supposed to be a light unto the nations, how can it fulfill this function if Israel's Government doesn't know what a Jewish state is? This ignorance, however, is inevitable because the term "Jewish state" is an oxymoron!
The world believes that the "state" makes and enforces the laws of a nation, which laws are of supreme authority. This contradicts Judaism, which posits the Torah as Israel's Supreme Law. The state is nothing more than the custodian of that Law. The Torah Jew regards the idea of the sovereign state—an idea advanced by Machiavelli—as idolatry, akin to paganism. A world of sovereign states unconstrained by Divine Law is equivalent to polytheism as opposed to ethical monotheism.
Strange as it may seem, the laws enacted by Israel's Government tacitly conform to Machiavelli's idea of the sovereign state, in consequence of which Israel cannot possibly be a light unto the nations! Perhaps this is the unknown reason why many nations question Israel's legitimacy as a sovereign state, an attitude pundits will attribute to anti-Semitism—a correct but superficial conclusion. It never occurs to them that this anti-Semitism may be the effect of a hidden cause, namely, that Israel today is unworthy of its Jewish reputation!
Can it be that the world is down on Israel because its posing as a Jewish state is factitious, like the Palestinian state endorsed by Prime Minister Netanyahu?
Can it be that Israel is declining because its Government's agenda is not a Jewish agenda?
Can it be that Israel's Government has shirked its world-historical responsibility, to enlighten mankind by comporting itself as a Torah nation in which Equality dwells with Excellence, Freedom with Virtue, Wealth with Beauty, the here and now with love of the Eternal?
Can it be that Israel is going downhill because its Government has forsaken the Torah which endows not only Jews but also Christians with dignity, self-confidence, and fortitude? Can it be that the Government's abandonment of the God of Israel is the ultimate reason why Europe has given up on Christianity and is succumbing to Islam? This is thinking outside the Cave.
And yet, any well-educated Christian knows that Christianity stands on the foundations of the Torah. Any well-educated Christian knows that the "Higher Law" doctrine of the American Declaration of Independence is rooted in the Bible of Israel. Any well-educated Christian will agree with the eighteenth-century divine, Yale President Ezra Stiles, who, along with Harvard President Samuel Langdon, recognized that the American Constitution was ultimately based on the Ten Commandments. Can one say this of the modern state of Israel?
Were not some of the founders of this state Marxists or atheists? Did it ever occur to the architects of this state that its paramount purpose is to reveal the infinite wisdom, power, and graciousness of God in every domain of existence? But if Israel shirks this sacred duty, is it not contributing to the irrationality that has gained ascendancy in postmodern Western civilization?
Contrast Nietzsche, who said: "Wherever the Jews have attained to influence, they have taught to analyze more subtly, to argue more acutely, to write more clearly and purely: it has always been their problem to bring people to 'raison.'" Is not Judaism called the "religion of reason"?
The rationality for which Jews are famous has its origin in the Torah, where reason is linked to ethical monotheism. The Torah, elaborated in the Talmud and codified by intellectual giants like Maimonides, habituated Jews to rational debate and deliberation in public affairs, which fructified the thinking of many judiciaries and parliaments.
Therefore, if Israel forsakes the Torah, which infused reason in the laws governing the social and economic relations of mankind, what is one to expect of the behavior of nations? Will they not succumb to nihilism?
I marvel at America, the Judeo-Christian nation par excellence, which has repeatedly saved Europe from tyranny and which alone can save mankind from Islamic imperialism. How could such a nation elect as its president a Muslim whose agenda is anti-American, hence contrary to Judeo-Christian civilization?
But what are we to expect of America when Israel doesn't have a Jewish agenda, indeed, whose elites have sacrificed their intellects to the shadows of the Cave cast by the fabricators and followers of Oslo's fictitious and fatal peace process?
Israel, the staggering superpower of the Middle East, cannot even surmount paltry terrorist groups like Hamas and the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority! And so vile nations tainted by Jew-hatred enter the imbroglio in support of Muslim thugs and murderers! How did this happen? Is Israel's Government responsible for this grotesque state of affairs?
I hesitate to engage in recrimination at this precarious juncture; but if Israel remains in the Cave, it will never see the light.
Part II: The Cave Dwellers
What are we to think of the Rabin Government that allowed Yasser Arafat, the godfather of international terrorism, to establish a base in Israel? This is the same government that erased the words "Judaism" and "Eretz Israel" from the Soldiers Code of Ethics.
What are we to think of Rabin's Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, the mastermind of Oslo who applied for Israel's membership in the Arab League? And what shall be said of the MKs that elected this genius Israel's President?
What are we to think of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who, in addressing a joint session of the American Congress in 1996, said there is no clash of civilizations in the Middle East? This is the Netanyahu who, as a member of the Sharon Government, voted for the expulsion of 10,000 Jews from their homes in Gaza and Northern Samaria—the same Netanyahu who, without any authority, endorsed an Arab state in the homeland of the Jewish people.
What are we to think of former Prime Minister Ehud Barak—now Israel's Defense Minister—who once said that had he been born an Arab, he too would be a terrorist?
What are we to think of former Prime Minister Sharon who said that his son Omri—mind you his son—had taught him not to think in terms of black and white—this, while Allah's homicide bombers were reducing Jewish men, woman, and children to body parts?
What are we to think of Ehud Olmert, who told a New York audience in June 2005: "We are tired of fighting, we are tired of being courageous, we are tired of winning, we are tired of defeating our enemies." The following year the Vinograd Commission reported on Israel's defeat in its Second War in Lebanon, for which it blamed the ineptitude of the Olmert Government but failed to reveal a basic cause of that ineptitude: Israel's irrational system of multiparty cabinet Government which made Amir Peretz Israel's bungling Defense Minister.
The same system obscured the responsibility of the political echelon in Israel's failure to pre-empt in the Yom Kippur War—a fact the Agranat Commission of inquiry ignored. We can expect more of the same in the investigation of the Government's mishandling of the "Free Gaza Flotilla"—for which many fault Ehud Barak but obscure the system of multiparty cabinet government that made this flawed character Israel's Defense Minister.
Conclusion
During the past two decades, Oslovian cave dwellers have been at the helm in Israel. They remained or remain in office even though their policies terminated or tormented the lives of thousands of Jews. Yes, but even their critics say nothing of an obvious cause of this suffering: Israel's irrational as well as corrupt system of government. So Israel limps along from disaster to another, and one cannot but wonder whether Jews will have the opportunity to leave the Cave and establish a rational form of government inspired by a Jewish agenda

The new American Jews - Yisrael Wolman
According to emissaries, leaders, and researchers in the US, the stereotypical image of the American Jew who attributes mystical-religious meaning to Israel, is deeply affected by the Shoah, and is heart-warmed by the sight of a Jewish soldier is departing from this world. Age is doing its thing. The younger generation – those in their 30s and 40s – and especially for its leaders, finds this image ridiculous.
Young Jewish Americans today are free of their parents’ and grandparents’ primeval fear of the “gentile” environment, great caution, and of course, of the axioms regarding the State of Israel as a substitute for religion, a home for the Jews, or a doomsday shelter. Israel will protect them? Don’t make them laugh. There are young Jewish communities in the US who no longer celebrate Israel’s Independence Day, while others are embroiled in great debate about this.
This trend cuts across sectors – it is true for “Jews” of all types (and there are quite a few of those across the US) and is also afflicting modern Orthodoxy, which in the past was considered relatively immune.
Make no mistake about it: The New American Jews do not turn their backs to their Jewish roots. The opposite is true – they are proud of it and show it off. Not only do they have no problem with life in Diaspora, they celebrate it big time. However, their Judaism is mostly being linked to cultural aspects: Music, food, literature, mysticism, and religious ritual.
The Internet and Facebook generation is also the generation of globalization – we live in a world that includes many shades, they say, and everyone has its honorable place. Our unique “shade” is poetic: The Shtetl and Phillip Roth and Kabala and Gefilte Fish, yet most of all it’s our universal aspiration for social justice and for Tikkun Olam. Israel is integrated into this, yet as a source for liberating and scathing criticism regarding the “situation” in the territories, the absence of cultural pluralism, and so on.
Uncle Rahm
Absurdly enough, the successful Taglit project (which enables any Diaspora Jew to visit Israel conveniently) played a key role in facilitating the above-mentioned developments. Their stay here indeed connects the Americans to their Judaism, but also grants legitimacy to a critical approach: We all live in an open world after all, no? So why don’t we talk about everything openly?
The aging Jewish leadership in the US, which is horrified by the polls about ongoing assimilation and low birthrates among Jews, has increasing turned its attention inward during the past decade. It invests most of its energy at home, in a bid to boost the Jewish component. Meanwhile, organizations such as J Street show that, as opposed to what sociologists thought in the past, success in this area does not simultaneously guarantee blind solidarity with Israel.
The tragedy here is that all of this is of no interest to the average Israeli. Tens of thousands of Israelis fly to America every year to hang out at Times Square, gamble in Las Vegas, or have fun at Disney World. How many of them visit even one Jewish institution there? How many met American Jews in their age group?
Israel’s citizens had been pampered for many years by the warm hug of Uncle Jack from America. He was always perceived as having deep pockets, a kind and merciful heart, and tearful eyes, but also – just between us - as a friendly fool. Well, take note: The uncle has been replaced. Today he may be called Rahm Emanuel.

Indifference and outrage - Ophir Falk
World indifferent to global atrocities but outraged by Jewish self-defense
During his millennium address to the White House a decade ago, Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel told a distinguished audience that the horrors of the 20th century were possible because of the world’s indifference to the suffering of the oppressed in Cambodia and Nigeria, India and Pakistan, Eritrea and Ethiopia, and on a different level, of course, Auschwitz and Treblinka. Murder was facilitated by indifference.
Indifference, he explained, can be “tempting and even seductive” but must be uprooted from human nature. Wiesel could not understand why President Roosevelt who, “was a good man, with a good heart”, refrained from “bombing the railways leading to Birkenau, just the railways, just once”. The cost of indifference was staggering.
Today, the world is indifferent to the ongoing atrocities in Darfur, to tyranny and torture of dissidents in Tehran, to starvation and AIDS in Africa and to the disregard for women’s human rights throughout most of the Islamic world.
The world, however, is no longer indifferent to the Jews – it is outraged by them! It is outraged Jews dare defend themselves. It was outraged when Begin bombed Saddam’s reactor in 1981. It is now outraged that Israel, that bothersome bully in the Middle East (or as Krauthammer of the Washington Post puts it “Those troublesome Jews”), dared kill nine radical Islamists on board a vessel of villains to Gaza.
They are outraged again, just like when Israel acted in self defense after more than 8,000 rockets were launched from Gaza at its citizens between 2005 and 2008. The outrage has led the Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council, composed of such Human Rights giants as Pakistan, Cuba and Saudi Arabia, to once again demand “an independent international fact-finding mission.”
Israel can only count on itself
The press too has once again gone overboard. With a blatant discount for facts, The Economist reported Israel “resorts to violence too readily” and put a picture of Benjamin Netanyahu behind barbed wires on the cover of its weekly magazine. A New York Times editorial stated that same week that, "Turkey is understandably furious about Israel's disastrous attack on the Turkish aid ship.” And of course, Reuters, the home of dishonest journalists, was caught doctoring photographs that incriminated a knife-wielding “peace activist”, replacing it with a picture of a passenger providing care to a wounded IDF soldier.
Double standards are also applied by Israel’s closest allies. President Obama insists that Israel allow an international inquiry to inspect its actions, yet he has dismissed any form of criticism or inquiry of his targeted killing - drone war policy that has directly caused the death of hundreds of civilians in Pakistan and Afghanistan since he took office.
Whether its indifference or outrage – one thing is clear. When it comes to vital security interests, Israel can count solely on itself. A case in point is nuclear Iran.
In this context, President Obama may ultimately be remembered as “a good man, with a good heart,” and his efforts to impose important yet unenforceable sanctions on Ahmadinejad’s regime may attest to that. However, these are not the “crippling sanctions” needed or promised and it is still a mystery whether he views a nuclear Iran as an existential threat to anyone, other than perhaps Israel.
A soft setting for his indifference. He won’t bomb those plants, not even one of them.
Israel’s security is in its own hands. Therefore, today perhaps more than ever, Netanyahu’s overarching task is to guarantee that the fate of Israel’s six million Jews will differ from that of those who lived in Europe during the darkest days of humanity. We should all be indifferent to the hypocritical outrage over Israel’s just actions.

War and What is to be Done - Paul Eidelberg
With Turkey's outfitting the Gaza Flotilla, the war against Israel—America's most important strategic/technological ally—has entered a second stage, since Turkey is aligned with the Iranian-Syrian axis of evil whose proxies in Gaza (Hamas) and in Lebanon (Hezbollah) confront Israel in the South and in the North, while Fatah confronts Israel on the West.
To moralize and legalize in defense of Israel is preaching to the choir and distracts attention from more effective action. Wars are not won by appealing to morality and law, although brief references to morality and law can be included in a "preamble" to inform the ignorant. The emphasis should be Attack! Attack! Attack! More important and decisive than appeals to moral values and sentiment—which should be kept to a minimum—is fear (concern for one's security), self-interest (concern for one's livelihood), and independence and pugnacity (ornery human nature or dislike for those telling us what to do).
With war we must identify and focus on the enemy and the enemy's most important ally. The enemy is Islam—Islam pure and simple. Islam's most powerful agent is IRAN, whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has not only vowed to wipe Israel off the map, but has also repeatedly called for DEATH TO AMERICA!
This bloody tyrant sent tens of thousands of Iranian children to their deaths by having them walk across mine fields in Iran's war with Iraq. (See Michael Ledeen, Accomplice to Evil.) Moreover, Iran has the means of stopping the flow of oil from the Persian Gulf, and thereby collapsing America's as well as the world's economy. (See Richard Baer, The Devil We Know.) And then there are American scoundrels, former high-level American officials on the Saudi payroll. (See Baer, Sleeping With the Devil.)
But focus your literary weapons against Iran, with special emphasis on Iran's means of depriving the U.S. of 20 percent of its oil imports, and of stopping the flow of oil to nations on which America's economy very much depends.
As for Iran's most important ally: enter Barack Hussein Obama. When Obama bowed to Saudi king Abdullah, that gesture signaled his strategic and ideological objective: to subordinate the United States to Islam. What he repeated called the "holy Koran" in his Cairo speech conveys the religion that modulates his heart and mind—the religion revealed in words and deeds but obscured by America's leftwing dominated media.
America, along with Israel, has thus become the targets of the "Red-and-Green" Axis, the paradoxical alliance between Islam and the godless Left. This alliance is personified by Hussein Obama, a person who has no national identity—precisely the case of global Islam and the one-world oriented internationalist Left. (See David Horowitz, Unholy Alliance, and Efraim Karsh, Imperialistic Islam.)
The paradox in this alliance is easily dissolved: the target of the godless Left, evident in the writings of Marx, is none other than the Judeo-Christian heritage, the same target of imperialistic Islam! This unholy alliance between Islam and the Left must not only be exposed, as it has by David Horowitz, it must be personalized by focusing attention on its primary purveyors, Barak Hussein Obama and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Hitler of the Middle East.
Regarding the anti-American Left, it has legions ensconced in Academia (as David Horowitz has shown in The Professors.) Do not be put off with the drivel about "academic freedom." Like Muslims, leftwing professors are using the language of democracy to undermine democracy. Americans must not be intimidated by the cognitive elite in the universities, but also avoid McCarthyism.
Suggestions:
In America: Organize—not new pro-American and pro-Israel organizations, but operational cooperation among such organizations. Think in terms of a "federal" system—a set of semi-autonomous organizations represented in a "Congress" having a common goal articulated and implemented on the international level by an "Executive."
In Israel: Form a group of eminent Israelis to bolster Netanyahu—to insist that he stand firm and not waver—that he think of his historical legacy, that he try to emulate Churchill.
To freedom-loving men and women everywhere: Never obscure or minimize the fact that we are at war, that the survival of our way of life and of our children and grandchildren are at stake.
Last but not least, pray to our Father in heaven.
A friend also suggest that, while focusing on the Islam-Left alliance,
(1) Inform Christians that the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem is scheduled to become part of a new Arab-Muslim state that Barack Hussein Obama mentioned in his Cairo speech.
(2) Point out that Obama and his Acorn Administration are close to Arab petro-dollars.
(3) Emphasize that the recent UN declaration on "defamations of religions" sold as defamation is really a revised blasphemy statute to repel statements against Islam.
(4) Emphasize the insidious construction of a Mosque at Ground Zero and what this signifies:
Islam’s step-by-step conquest of America and Christianity.

End U.S. military grants to Israel NOW!!!!!!!
Why the Security and Well-Being of the United States Depends Very Much on Israel
- Prof. Paul Eidelberg
Joseph Sisco, a former Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern and South Asian affairs, once told Israeli author Shmuel Katz, “I want to assure you, Mr. Katz, that if we were not getting full value for our money, you would not get a cent from us.” In fact, Israel has long been America’s biggest strategic bargain. Let’s examine some facts.
For FY2009, U.S. military grants to Israel was $2.55 billion (= $2.55B).
Since Israel’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2009 was $199B, total U.S. aid to Israel was merely 1.28 percent of its GDP—a sum easily obtained by closing tax loop holes.
Viewed over the five year period of 2005–2009—total U.S. military aid was approximately $12B.
What has the U.S. received from Israel in return?
Total exports from the U.S. to Israel between 2005 and 2009 amounted to $57.6B—almost five times the $12B Israel received in U.S. aid during this period. The annual average of U.S. exports to Israel during this period was $11.7B, more than five times the average American aid package!
Israel must spend about 74 percent of U.S. military aid in the United States, where it provides jobs for an estimated fifty thousand American workers.
Unknown to many observers, U.S. military aid to Israel creates a demand for, and the purchase of, tens of billions of dollars worth of U.S. weaponry by Saudi Arabia and other Arab states. U.S. grants to Israel—far from imposing a burdenon the American tax payer—actually enriches the American economy. (American arms manufacturers know this. So do congressmen who represent the various States in which corporations such as Boeing, Lockheed, and General Dynamics are located. These elected officials, along with these corporations, have vested interests in opposing any sanctions against Israel if its government were to take a more independent and vigorous stand against the Palestinian Authority and Hamas.
According to Gen. George Keegan, a former chief of U.S. Air Force Intelligence, between 1974 and 1990, Israeli aid to America was worth between $50–80B in intelligence, research, development savings, and Soviet weapons systems captured and transferred to the Pentagon, and testing Soviet military doctrines up to 1990 when the USSR collapsed. Senator Daniel Inouye put it this way: “The contribution made by Israeli intelligence to America is greater than that provided by all NATO countries combined.”
In view of these facts, why doesn’t Israel’s ruling elites resist U.S. pressure? In fact, they have done soon many occasions in the past and with salutary results.
Ettinger provides compelling evidence in his article “U.S. Pressure—A Guide for the Perplexed,” September 9, 2009:
In 1950, the U.S. Administration pressured Israel to refrain from Jewish construction in Jerusalem and from declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel. Prime Minister Ben-Gurion built, relocated government agencies and thousands of immigrants to Jerusalem and declared Jerusalem the capital of the Jewish state.
In 1961, President Kennedy pressured Ben-Gurion to stop the construction of Israel’s nuclear reactor. Ben-Gurion ignored Kennedy.
In 1967, the U.S. Administration pressured against annexation of East Jerusalem. Prime Minister Eshkol annexed, reunited Jerusalem, and built the formidable Ramat Eshkol neighborhood.
In 1967, President Johnson pressured Prime Minister Eshkol against preempting the Egypt-Syria-Jordan military offensive. Eshkol acted independently.
In 1970, the U.S. Administration pressured Israel to relinquish control over parts of Jerusalem. Prime Minister Golda Meir constructed the neighborhoods of Gilo, Ramot and Neveh Yaakov (current population over 100,000!).
In 1977, President Jimmy Carter pressured Prime Minister Begin to abstain from direct negotiation with President Sadat and participate—instead—in an international conference, focusingon the Palestinian issue and Jerusalem. Begin acted independently.
In 1981, President Reagan pressured Prime Minister Begin against bombing Iraq’s nuclear reactor. Begin ordered the bombing operation.
In 1990, President Bush (the elder) and his Secretary of State James Baker attempted to cut 5 percent of the foreign aid to Israel,on account of Israel’s settlement activity. Congress opposed and the initiative was rescinded. (The legislature and the executive are equal in power and fully independent of each other. The U.S. Congress has been a systematic bastion of support of the Jewish state since before 1948.)
Following the 1991 Gulf War, Israel asked for emergency assistance, which Bush/Baker rejected. Congress supported and Israel received $650M in cash and $700M in military systems.
U.S. public and Congressional support of Israel is robust. “The Rasmussen Report” documents a 70 percent support (August 10, 2009) and “Gallup” ranks Israel as the fourth-favored ally (March 3, 2009). Seventy-one senators signed an August 10, 2009, letter calling upon President Obama to shift pressure from Israel to Arab countries. The Democratic Chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee, Howard Berman, called upon Obama to end his preoccupation with settlements. The Democratic Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, resents Obama’s opposition to Jewish construction in East Jerusalem. The strongest (Democratic) senator, Daniel Inouye, Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, is the most effective supporter of the U.S.-Israel connection since 1948.
Ettinger concludes: “Defiance of pressure entails short-term cost but enhances long-term national security. Submission to pressure exacerbates pressure. Fending off pressure is required, in order to attain strategic goals. Avoiding pressure—through concessions—leads to departure from strategic goals.”
The lesson is clear: Courage, fortified by Jewish faith, is theone thing needed in Israel's Government—for the sake of both Israel and the United States.

Obama Admin. To Support Anti-Israel Resolution at UN Next Week
The Weekly Standard has learned that senior Obama administration officials have been telling foreign governments that the administration intends to support an effort next week at the United Nations to set up an independent commission, under UN auspices, to investigate Israel’s behavior in the Gaza flotilla incident. The White House has apparently shrugged off concerns from elsewhere in the U.S. government that a) this is an extraordinary singling out of Israel, since all kinds of much worse incidents happen around the world without spurring UN investigations; b) that the investigation will be one-sided, focusing entirely on Israeli behavior and not on Turkey or on Hamas; and c) that this sets a terrible precedent for outside investigations of incidents involving U.S. troops or intelligence operatives as we conduct our own war on terror.
While UN Ambassador Susan Rice is reported to have played an important role in pushing for U.S. support of a UN investigation, the decision is, one official stressed, of course the president’s. The government of Israel has been consulting with the U.S. government on its own Israeli investigative panel, to be led by a retired supreme court justice, that would include respected international participants, including one from the U.S. But the Obama administration is reportedly saying that such a “kosher panel” is not good enough to satisfy the international community, or the Obama White House.

Prophecy - Prof. Paul Eidelberg
Many Jews talk about the need to make Israel an authentic Jewish state, a state based on the Torah, on the Sinai Covenant. The ultimate purpose of such a state is to sanctify the Name of God by revealing His infinite Wisdom, Power and Graciousness in every domain of existence.
But if we understand what an authentic Jewish state is, why don’t we have a road map to such state? A basic reason is because Israelis have focused their attention and energies on the “Arab problem,” more precisely the “Palestinian problem.” This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Not only is the entire world focused on the Palestinian problem, but Israel's Government is committed to establishing an Arab-Islamic state on Israel's own territory! Let's try to get to the bottom of this bizarre situation.
(1) Israeli governments have focused the world’s attention on the Palestinian problem because they have failed to address Israel's most fundamental problem the Jewish problem!
(2) Stated another way, every Israeli government has been focused on the territorial-cum-security issue. So lo and behold, Israel is losing territory and has never been more insecure!
Want more? Okay.
(3) Israel’s (paranoid) prime ministers are always preoccupied with Israel’s image among the nations. This is precisely why Israel has never had a more horrible image.
Are you getting the message? You all know that the Zionist enterprise had two basic goals: to provide for the security and restore the dignity of the Jewish people by establishing a Jewish state in Eretz Israel. Right?
But where was God in this Zionist scenario? Do you find God mentioned in Theodor Herzl’s The Jewish State—Herzl, the only name mentioned in the document now called Israel’s Declaration of Independence?
So, instead of God, what does Israel look up to—because if a people have nothing to look up to, they will be looking down on their feet. Instead of looking up to God they will look up to man. This is called "humanism." But inasmuch as biologists such as Richard Dawkins have shown that man is descended from apes, an awful lot of Israelis have discovered they have no statesman at the helm—only apes!
Let me put it another way. What do Israel’s decision-makers and opinion-makers exalt? What else but DEMOCRACY? Everyone knows this. Everyone knows that the paramount concern of Israel’s ruling elites—politicians and judges, academics and journalists—their paramount concern is to secure Israel’s reputation as a Democracy. This is what gives Israel's Government Legitimacy and Israel's elites with Respectability. Right? But notice that the nations are now seeking to delegitimize Israel despite its vaunted Democracy! Sort of ironic, no?
But where is the Torah in this Israeli scenario? Wasn’t it the Torah that preserved the Jewish people and endowed them with dignity?
Will someone tell me what would have happened to the Jewish people after the destruction of the Second Temple without the Torah? Why they would have become as extinct as the dodo. This means that had Israel been led by the likes of Yitzhak Rabin, Ehud Barak, Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert, and Binyamin Netanyahu, the Jews would have suffered the fate of the Mesopotamians.
Poor Israelis! Having abandoned the Jewish God and the Torah, we now we now see that some Jewish politicians are so desperate that they solicit the political support of Christians! Christians may think this is the fulfillment of prophecy.
But the Jewish sages knew that in the end of days, Israel would be ruled by paltry governments. Like the foolish governments of Europe and the United States, Israel's government succumbing to barbarians. But don't despair. The same Jewish sages saw Israel's current state of affairs as a preliminary to a renaissance of Hebraic civilization.

Helen Thomas, Anti-Semite Hag, Dropped By Her Agency; Former Clinton Aide Calls For Her Dismissal
At CQ Politics, Craig Crawford, formerly with MSNBC, who co-wrote a book with Thomas (and has been vociferous in attacking the leaders of a different religion on occasion) writes, “With Regret:”
I concur with the following response from my agent to Helen Thomas’ lamentable remarks about Israel, and will no longer be working with Helen on our book projects. — Craig Crawford
“It is with a heavy heart that Nine Speakers, Inc. announces its resignation as the agent for Helen Thomas, Dean of the White House Press Corps. Ms. Thomas has had an esteemed career as a journalist, and she has been a trailblazer for women, helping others in her profession, and beyond. However, in light of recent events, Nine Speakers is no longer able to represent Ms. Thomas, nor can we condone her comments on the Middle East. Nine Speakers will continue to enthusiastically represent all of our other current and future clients.” — Diane Nine

Meanwhile, Jennifer Rubin writes that “Lanny Davis, Clinton adviser and stalwart Democrat, joins Ari Fleischer in calling for Helen Thomas to be booted.” Davis’s statement notes:
Helen Thomas, who I used to consider a close friend and who I used to respect, has showed herself to be an anti-Semitic bigot. This not about her disagreement about her criticisms of Israel. She has a right to criticize Israel and that is not the same as being an anti-Semite.
However, her statement that Jews in Israel should leave Israel and go back to Poland or Germany is an ancient and well-known anti-Semitic stereotype of the Alien Jew not belonging in the “land of Israel” — one that began 2,600 years with the first tragic and violent diaspora of the Jews at the hands of the Romans.
If she had asked all Blacks to go back to Africa, what would White House Correspondents Association position be as to whether she deserved White House press room credentials — much less a privileged honorary seat?
Does anyone doubt that my friends Ann Compton, head of the WHCA, and Joe Lockhart, who believe in the First Amendment right of free expression as much as I do, would be as tolerant and protective of Helen’s privileges and honors in the White House press room as they appear to be if she had been asking Blacks to return to Africa? Or Native Americans to Asia and South America, from which they came 8,000 or more years ago? I doubt it.
Of course Helen has the right as a private citizen under the First Amendment to speak her mind, even as an anti-Jewish bigot — but not as a member, much less privileged member with a reserved seat, in the WH press corps.
As Jennifer adds, “See, that wasn’t so hard. Where is the rest of the media, the White House Correspondents Association, and the White House? As to the latter, no response to my inquiry has been forthcoming. Perhaps, the White House is hoping — you know, like with the BP spill — that it can dodge responsibility for this one. But it is their credentials Helen Thomas uses and their briefing room in which she sits. What say you, Mr. President?”
And Jim Treacher wryly observes, “Remember: You’re a Nazi for saying we should enforce our own immigration laws… But not for telling the Jews to beat it.”

Flotilla Terrorist Participants
Here are a list of the peaceniksfrom the "Flotilla".
The Islamist propaganda campaign continues at the request of Iran's little monkey.
Persia is a player in Gog and Magog
Eygpt -
The Egyptian flotilla delegation included two members of the Muslim Brotherhood bloc in the Egyptian parliament: Muhammad Al-Baltaji and Hazem Farouq.
---------------
Lebanon-
The Lebanese flotilla delegation, with six members, was headed by attorney Dr. Hani Suleiman, who also participated in a February 2009 Gaza flotilla. He was pro-bono attorney to Japanese terrorist Kozo Okamoto.[2] In 2006, he signed a communiqué supporting armed resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq
Three other members of the Lebanese delegation are Al-Jazeera TV correspondents.[4] One, 'Abbas Nasser, worked for Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV from 1997 through 2003; he has said that he enjoyed working there because he felt like part of a family, and because the channel "embraced his religious and political orientation." In 2003, he also worked for Iran's Al-'Alam TV
-------------------
Jordan -
The Jordanian flotilla delegation included Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan activists such as delegation head Wael Al-Saka, a veteran Muslim Brotherhood member,[7] and Salam Al-Falahat, who was general guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan from 2006 to 2008
Also in the delegation was Jordanian publicist and journalist Muhammad Abu Ghanima, a former head of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan's information bureau and a member of the movement's political bureau.
-----------------------
Syria-
One of the four Syrian citizen among the flotilla's 700 participants was Shadha Barakat. She was sent as a representative of the Civil Association for Resisting Zionism and Aid for Palestine, which supports armed resistance in Palestine and in Iraq. Her husband Ayman said that she had written a play on assassinated Hamas founder and leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, and had told him that when she reaches Gaza she "plans to visit [Yassin's] home and inhale the scent of the place where he lived
-------------------------
Yemen -
Prominent activists in the Yemeni flotilla delegation were three MPs from the Al-Islah party, an Islamist party that is close to the Muslim Brotherhood. One, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hazmi, was photographed on the deck of the Mavi Marmara brandishing his large curved dagger
Another Yemeni MP in the flotilla, Hazza' Al-Maswari, also from the Al-Islah party, previously expressed vehement anti-American sentiment.
------------------------------------
Kuwait-
Among the prominent flotilla activists from Kuwait were Salafist MP Walid Al-Tabtabai, who is known to support armed resistance in Palestine and in Iraq. He said: "We think that the armed resistance in Iraq is legitimate resistance. Every resistance directed against anyone who occupies it is legitimate..."[16] Al-Tabtabai also expressed explicit support for Hamas
Another prominent Kuwaiti activist in the flotilla was Dr. Osama Al-Kandari, a Hadith lecturer at the College of Basic Education. In February 2009, he signed a communiqué expressing support for Hamas and for jihad in Palestine against the "Jewish enemies
------------------------------------
Bahrain-
Sheikh Jalal Al-Sharqi, head of the Association of Islamic Scholars in the GCC Countries, was also on board. Previously, Al-Sharqi signed a clerics' petition calling to acknowledge Hamas's legitimacy, as recognized by shari'a, and not to prevent it from obtaining weapons. The petition justified the stance of the "fighters in Gaza" who cling to jihad "against the Jews" and to martyrdom
------------------------------------
Israeli Arabs -
he Monitoring Committee of the Israeli Arabs sent four of its members to the flotilla, including Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel. He made statements in support of Hamas and against the legitimacy of the Palestinian Authority. Previously, Salah said at the Conference of the Palestinians in Europe: "We are very joyful over the Freedom Flotilla... that in another few days will break the siege on free Gaza, noble Gaza, heroic Gaza. At the same time, we emphasize to all the world that the Freedom Flotilla heralds another flotilla to come – do you know what that is? It is the flotilla returning the Palestinian refugees to our country, to our plains, to our sea and our land, to our fields and our groves
Another passenger on the Mavi Marmara was Bishop Hilarion Capucci, who in the 1970s was convicted and imprisoned in Israel for smuggling weapons from Lebanon to the PLO, but afterwards was freed at the request of the Vatican. According to Algerian flotilla participants, Hilarion said that he was "waiting for the day when he could return to Palestine and hear the church bells and the muezzins' calls of 'Allah Akbar,' under the skies of a free Palestine.

Breaking News! - Prof Paul Eidelberg
We have been informed—but we refuse to believe—that the White House was linked to the Islamic Flotilla headed for Gaza.
First of all, the White House would not condone the illegal behavior of the pro-Palestinians on the Mavi Marmara.
Second, the White House knew that the objective of the Mavi Marmara was to aid Hamas, which the American State Department has listed as a terrorist organization.
Third, the White House has always pursued an "even-handed" or morally neutral Middle East Foreign policy vis-Ã -vis Israel and its Arab enemies.
Fourth, the White House knows that Iran gave the green light to the Gaza Islamic Flotilla to distract attention from Iran's nuclear development program which the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff vigorously opposes.
Fifth, the last thing the White House wants is a conflagration in the Middle East which would obviously stop the flow of oil through the Persian Gulf on which the American and world economy depends.
For these and other reasons, we know that a democracy like the United States would not aid or abet the agents of totalitarian Islam.

The Kurdish Flotilla
It has been learned that the Kurds are sending a Flotilla against Turkish occupation. Before continuing, a few words about the Kurds.
No firm statistics exist for the Kurdish population. Estimates range between 16 and 25 million, divided as follows: 8 - 13m in Turkey, 4-5m in Iraq,
4-5m in Iran, 1m in Syria and another million scattered between Lebanon, Armenia and other neighboring states. A majority of Kurds are Sunni Muslim, not ethnically Arab.
Note that the Kurds constitute a significant portion of Turkey. Unlike the Turks, however, they speak an Indo-European language. They live across all of Turkey (mainly in the south), but Turkey's treatment of the Kurds has been a frequent subject of international criticism.[1]
Now, since the Kurds are seeking national self-determination, Israel—which has supported them in the past—should portray them as would-be Zionists and call upon the democratic world to support them, especially in view of the fact that the Kurds, unlike most Muslims, are friends of democracy!

ISLAM - A SHORT SYNOPSIS OF HOW IT WORKS
by John Larsen on Wed May 14, 2008 5:48 pm
Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.
Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.
Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called 'religious rights.'
When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to 'the reasonable' Muslim demands for their 'religious rights,' they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).
As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:
United States -- Muslim 1.0%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1%-2%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%
At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:
Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.
They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States ).
France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland-- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad &Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris -- car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam -- Mohammed cartoons).
Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 10-15%
After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%
At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:
Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%
From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:
Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%
After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:
Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%
100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace -- there's supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:
Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 99.9%
Of course, that's not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.
'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel' -- Leon Uris, 'The Haj'
It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France , the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.
And we continue to cater and negotiate in a politically correct way so as not to 'offend' our Muslim 'brothers.'
Time to wake up!

A Jewish Analysis Paul Eidelberg
We don’t need brilliant political analysis to reveal the obvious: that Israel’s government consists of cretins and cravens. We’ve known this since Moshe Dayan, with the unanimous approval of Israel’s government, started the process of undoing the miracle of the Six-Day War by giving the Arabs control of the Temple Mount, the holiest site of the Jewish people. The government thereby desecrated the Name of God on the one hand, and dignified Islam on the other.
In dignifying Islam, Israel’s government painted itself in the corner: it could say nothing of the evil character and genocidal designs of the enemy. Hence, we can appreciate a pundit who now urges Israel’s government to tell the truth about this enemy. But there is another truth that needs exposure, namely, that Israel’s greatest enemy is its own government!
By undoing the miracle of the Six-Day War via the policy of “territory for peace,” Israel’s government has been pursuing a policy of treason—and not merely moral treason. I say this because the policy of “territory for peace” actually violates Israeli statutes governing treason. In other words, and as attorney Howard Grief has exhaustively shown, Israel’s government—including its Supreme Court—has betrayed the birthright of the Jewish people.
This means that Israel’s government has betrayed God and the Sinai Covenant. By so doing it has renounced the only justification for the Jewish state. The only solid justification for the existence of the State of Israel is the Torah. This is not a political conclusion but a Jewish conclusion based on reason and logic. In rejecting this Jewish conclusion, Israel’s ruling elites have succumbed to stupidity and self-abasement.
This stupidity and self-abasement is exemplified by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ardent desire to negotiate with Muslims dedicated to Israel’s annihilation. To negotiate with these enemies of civilization is pathological or symptomatic of a terminal disease. Only an idiot or a madman would deal with those committed to his destruction.
No one should know this better than Jews whose history is punctuated by the envious and murderous hatred of the non-Jewish world—especially of Muslims.
Thus, by abandoning God and the Torah, the source of Jewish wisdom and loftiness, Israel’s government has become foolish and ignominious. Isn’t this obvious?
Moreover, it’s precisely the function of Israel’s enemies to make Israel look ignominious, for that facilitates and perpetuates their own and ignoble and mendacious character. Political analysis obscures the meaning of history, that Israel represents the God-given truth at Sinai. This truth exposes the lies and idolatry and complacency of mankind. Israel makes people feel uncomfortable and even lowly. People want to feel good about themselves, and one way of doing this is by scapegoating others. So Israel has served as the scapegoat of mankind—it’s called “anti-Semitism.”
Israel is not going to be redeemed by brilliant political analysis. Indeed, the latter may make a lot of people—pundits and politicians—“politically correct.” No, we need Jewish analysis on the one hand, and Torah-inspired statesmanship on the other. Israel needs a war strategy based on Torah principles, including the principle: “Those who come to kill you, kill them first.”
'Gaza flotilla: what went wrong?'
Samson Blinded has posted a new item:
During his first term in the office, Netanyahu was tough. Very tough. He did not
conduct “final status” talks with the Arabs. Instead, he flatly refused to
make any major territorial concessions to them. Then a crazed Israeli soldier
opened fire on Arab civilians at a Hebron market. TV cameras were on the spot
(surprise, surprise). Amid an international outcry, Netanyahu’s government
agreed to abandon Hebron to the Arabs. An incident, yes. Like Mabhouh’s
suicide.
This term, Netanyahu was not tough. Though shock-shelled by Obama’s
rhetoric, he was slow to give up—but then came the Gaza flotilla
debacle. Why were the boats intercepted 80 miles out at sea? The depth of a
blockade is only 20 miles. An interception on the open seas is a clear-cut act
of piracy. An honest mistake, made because no lawyer was present? You bet. The
Border Police refused to take part in the operation because they lacked
jurisdiction outside of Israeli territory. The Navy knew that it was committing
a breach of international law. Yet the order was given. A senseless order,
because the boats could as easily have been intercepted within the blockade
zone—legally.
Why intercept the boats at all? Their cargo had been inspected at Greek and
Turkish customs, and presumably by Israeli agents as well. Everyone knew they
had no meaningful weapons on board. Would the boats docked in Gaza have created
a dangerous precedent which could later have been used to facilitate arms
trafficking to Hamas? The Israeli government is not in the habit of dealing with
remote threats; if it were, Hezbollah would not have been able to amass 50,000
rockets, nor would Syria have aimed 1,000 ballistic missiles at our cities, nor
would Hamas have been able to smuggle in antitank and antiaircraft rockets. The
boats were not stopped because they threatened, even remotely, to set a
precedent. If anything, the Israeli government was especially careful about
the flotilla because it had been financed by Turkey. No way would the government
carelessly and deliberately jeopardize our already strained relations with the
Ottomans. So there must have been an overwhelming reason for the
interception.
Without doubt, the Gaza flotilla was going for the Exodus scenario: a highly
publicized attempt to break the blockade of Palestine. They even spent extra
time wandering around the Mediterranean sea to garner all available attention.
There was next to no cargo on board: these were passenger ships, what cargo! And
even the arrogant Israeli intelligence could not have missed the preparations
being made for a violent encounter among the ship’s 650 passengers. They were
playing out the famous Jewish-British confrontation. Recognizing the similarity,
British diplomats were among the first to condemn Israel. According to the
scenario, there would have to be deaths.
A ship with so many passengers can hardly surrender. How are the passengers
supposed to disembark to be transferred out of Israel? With too many people on
board, surrender was not an option: they had not prepared for the trip for
months only to be detained by Israelis. Numbers have a power of their own: a
boat with dozens of passengers is easy to take over, but hundreds of people are
likely to fight. With full knowledge of the likelihood of confrontation,
the Israeli government sent Navy commandos rather than Border Police to make the
interception. Anyone familiar with Navy training could have predicted the
ensuing fiasco. The Navy is simply not trained for this kind of operation.
Recall the indiscriminate shootings that took place during the early stages of
the first Lebanon war. The Border Police, on the other hand, are well prepared
and trained to control riots with non-lethal means. The Marines were lost: in a
clearly hostile situation, they were only allowed to use... paintballs! And no
peacenik piece of trash in the government is going to go to jail for sending
Jewish boys unarmed into a combat zone. The Marines’ initially meek reaction,
predictably, encouraged the mob and escalated the subsequent fighting. Whereas a
few live shots would have sufficed to quell the riot, the initially mild
reaction ensured significant casualties—most importantly, among the
Marines.
Besides choosing the wrong type of troops for the operation, the government sent
an insufficient number of them. Who in his right mind would send a few dozen
Marines against hundreds of violent protesters? We are not even talking about a
typical anti-riot operation in which a wall of police presses against the mob
and relatively few policemen are required to man the confrontation line. The
Marines were dropped from helicopters right into the middle of a hostile crowd.
When the first Marine who landed on the Marmara was attacked on the spot,
Admiral Marom should have changed tactics immediately. It is hard to doubt his
expertise in such simple matters, but they continued dropping the Marines with
paintball guns onto a ship which was exploding with rage. Apparently, the
Marines did not receive fire cover from several helicopters right above them,
despite being in mortal danger. They went with mere pistols against hundreds of
armed rioters: in close combat, the rioters’ knives and axes were easily equal
to Navy handguns. Someone sent the Marines to their deaths, and one is left to
ask oneself about the role of Admiral Marom, who narrowly escaped discharge a
year ago due to his tendency to frequent strip joints, and who may be indebted
to high-ranking leftists in the establishment who saved his job.
Unimpeded satellite translation of the confrontation from the boats speaks
volumes. Why wasn’t the Navy ordered to jam the activists’ communications?
Mistakes like this do not happen in well-planned, routine operations in which
scores of professionals cross-check the most minute details. The
pro-Palestinian activists were on a suicide mission. What did they expect, to
fight off the Israeli Navy with knives and firebombs? Or did they expect to
escape being thrown into Israeli jails after attacking Israeli Marines? No,
theirs was a suicide mission.
The world was also surprisingly prepared. Germany, unwilling to see Jews return
to Bavaria, is normally our staunch ally. Yet, the German PM condemned Israel
immediately, though the Marines acted in self-defense. The French, Italians, and
nearly everyone else followed suit immediately, though the casualties, even if
inflicted on peace-loving civilians, were minuscule by anyone’s
standards—certainly by the standards of the NATO countries fighting in
Afghanistan. Completely ignored was the fact that the ‘peaceniks’ attacked
the Marines rather than vice-versa.
Obama is a special case. His honey-sweet invitation to Netanyahu was immediately
suspect. Okay, Obama needed to repair his relations with America’s Jewish
community, but what is the point of a hollow meeting? Obama can remove his feet
from the table while speaking with Netanyahu, but he will still be pressing the
Jewish state to abandon Jerusalem and live with a nuclear Iran—not a big deal,
indeed, since a life like that wouldn’t be long. Then, conveniently, came the
Gaza flotilla debacle, and the scheduled meeting was abandoned. Instead, the US
State Department joined the chorus of international condemnation of Israel. Tell
me that Obama did not know about the impending debacle.
Such string of operational errors in a simple intercept could have happened on
its own - in which case, the government is guilty of criminal stupidity. More
likely, Israeli leftist establishment framed Netanyahu.
The last time there was such a provocation against Netanyahu’s
government, it cost us Hebron. Let’s see what concessions they ask for this
time.

Rabbis: Flotilla Clash Heralds Gog and Magog Prophecy
(Israelnationalnews.com) The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria issued an unusual statement Thursday in which it said that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza "place us at the beginning of the Gog and Magog process where the world is against us, but which ends with the third and final redemption."
The statement explained that while secular Zionism always wants Israel to be beloved by other nations, “the legitimacy of our people is not derived from the nations of the world and their poisonous traditions, rather from the Torah of Israel which teaches us that [Israel] 'is a people that shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations'" (Numbers 23:9).
The council blessed the soldiers of the IDF and called for the formation of an emergency unity government that will bring about the salvation promised by G-d.
The Council was formed by Rabbi Zalman Melamed of Beit El and includes many leading rabbis of the religious-nationalist stream, who are the spiritual leaders of communities in Judea and Samaria.
'Gog and Magog' is a reference is to chapters 38 and 39 in the book of Ezekiel, a part of which is read on the intermediate Sabbath of Sukkot (Tabernacles). These chapters describe a vision of a war that will precede the final redemption of Israel and the world. The prophecy involves a prince called Gog of Magog, leader of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, who leads a coalition that includes Persia (Iran), Cush (Ethiopia), Phut, Gomer, and Beit Togarmah against Israel. There are various opinions regarding the modern identity of some of these nations.

So a little time has passed since the Islamic terrorists from Turkey tried to entrap Israel with their modern day "Islamic Horse",
The UN votes are typical, the Czech Republic has stood up against the terrorists by simply stating Israel acted correctly. The US abstained....
It is a dark time for the world that is surrounding the light unto nations.
Either the Mashiach is coming shortly or we have not earned a short transition.
Either way the world is completely turning upside down. I used to think it was become it became OK to wear anything but a white shirt to work at IBM and it was then OK to grow the hair long. Perhaps that was the beginning of the breakdown of social mores. (I refused a job at Disneyland in the 70's because I would not shave the stash and shorten the burns).
If we take stock of the world...technically there is no active war at this very moment...Think about it. Is the world united against Israel in a mild way?
That I guess would be paranoia about now.
If I try to think of the number of places that are allied with the US or Israel...it is hard to find many.
If I tried to decide where I thought it would be safe to vacation in the world...the same problem would come to mind.
The Islamists have infiltrated Europe (Eurabia) and the US (Ameristan) and are
trying to reproduce, vote and legislate Sharia. They are also trying to bend the laws in their direction using the very freedoms they hate to tear the laws down.
The pressure is mounting, yet very slowly. The quieter they are, the less the ignorant masses will take notice.
They are currently succeeding. there will come a tipping point however, and we must be ready...wherever we live.
Jews, Westerners, Xtains etc...
The Islamists are coming and it not by land, air or sea...they are here and
they must be dealt with. The culture that values Death wants to destroy all cultures that value Life.
Islamists are waging war against all of us. Hence any nation or group or individual that aids or seeks to aid the Islamists becomes, in effect, a belligerent and is or should be subject to the rules of war.
In 1985, Raja 'i-Khorassani, the permanent delegate to the United Nations from the Islamic Republic of Iran, avowed that "the very concept of human rights was 'a Judeo-Christian invention' and inadmissible in Islam.…

Useful Idiots Condemn Israel - William A. Jacobson
The left-wing blogosphere is full of useful idiots, who pretend that the flotilla which just was stopped by Israel was a humanitarian mission.
The flotilla was organized by the Islamist government in Turkey to aid Hamas with the goal of opening up shipping channels for Turkey's new friend, Iran, to ship more and better weapons as it is doing to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran is busy turning Lebanon and Syria into one large missile launching pad against Israel, and a southern base in Gaza will complete the encirclement of Israel for the coming crisis over Iran's nuclear program.
The Europeans on the ships were cover, and the placement of an 18-month old child on these ships was the utmost cynical use of a human shield.
If getting humanitarian supplies to Gaza really was the goal, this flotilla was not necessary. The supplies would have been off-loaded in Eqypt or Israel and then shipped in by land after being checked for hidden weapons.
And that is the rub, only sea-based shipping would provide Iran with the mechanism for almost unlimited armament of Hamas. There is a limit to the quantity and size of missiles and other armaments which can be smuggled through tunnels from Egypt. That is why the sea blockade must be broken for Iran to get what it wants.
But the useful idiots (no offense to idiots) in the left-wing blogosphere ignore this reality, and use the incident for their ultimate goal, which is the cut off of U.S. support for Israel.

America: A Nation Under God or Under Allah? - Paul Eidelberg
Unless Americans rise up and put an end to the Obama abomination — and November may be their last chance — America will perish.
The world-historical function of America is to prevent any nation to implement an ideology that would undo the nation-state system—the system that enables a multiplicity of nations to pursue its own particularity consistent with international law or the Seven Noahide Laws of Universal Morality.
The one nation that most threatens the nation-state system is Islam. Islam is the nation — more than any other — that blames the “other” for its own failings. It is the one nation — more than any other— that rejects individual responsibility. This is why Islam hates the Jews more than another other people, for the Jew is the teacher of individual responsibility. Therein is THE heart of the so-called “clash of civilizations”.
Islam rejects the Judaic concept of man’s creation in the image of God. What is at stake in the conflict between Islam and Israel is therefore the “God issue.”
America was established as “one nation under God.” Now America has in the White House a man who represents America’s greatest enemy. November may be America’s last chance.

Another rush to judgment - Professor Alan Dershowitz
The deaths and injuries on board the Gaza flotilla once again demonstrate how easy it is for radical supporters of terrorism to provoke a democracy into committing acts that will incur the condemnation of the international community.
Let there be no mistake about the goal of the flotilla. It was not to provide aid to Gaza.
The proof of that obvious reality is that the leaders of the flotilla rejected an Israeli offer to send the food and medical supplies to Gaza through the Israeli port of Ashdod. They wanted a military confrontation with casualties. That is why some of them were chanting Jihadist slogans such as “[remember] Khaibar, khaibar, oh Jews. The army of Muhammed will return.” This was a reference to the slaughter of Jews by Muhammed in the 7th century. In an interview with Al Jazeera, one of the leaders demanded “Martyrdom” or victory. They seem to have achieved both.
The United Nations is now ready to pounce on Israel, without even hearing the Israeli side of the story or viewing videotapes that show Israeli commandoes being beaten, stabbed and clubbed by so called “peaceful protesters”. Nor are those who are rushing to condemn Israel interested in the rules of engagement issued by Israel, under which their marines were told to fire harmless paintballs unless their lives were threatened.
This is not to say that the Israeli actions were wise, especially in light of the long lead-time they had to prepare for this well planned provocation. But their actions were not illegal under international law. The blockade of Gaza, a terrorist enclave that has engaged in repeated acts of armed aggression against Israeli civilians, is supported by Egypt and other nations. Although the flotilla was boarded in international waters, the intent to enter the coastal area of Gaza was clear and undisputed. A sovereign nation need not wait until the line is unlawfully crossed when the intruders have made known their determination to cross the line. The United States and other western countries have boarded ships in international waters over the years to enforce blockades and to protect security.
When Israeli marines were attacked by lethal weapons, they had the absolute right to defend themselves and protect their fellow soldiers. Whether they acted reasonably and proportionately can be known only after a thorough investigation, which the Israeli authorities should begin immediately.
The immediate confrontation has now ended, with too much loss of life and too many injuries. There is now time to assess the situation carefully and methodically, as both the United States and Israel are doing. Conclusions must follow investigation, not precede it. The United Nations has no credibility when it comes to this particular conflict, since it has proved its one-sided anti-Israel bias over and over again. It should stay out of this conflict, lest it encourage more provocations and more loss of life. There will be enough self-criticism from the Israeli public to force the Israeli military to reconsider how it responds to future provocations.

Beyond Political Analysis - Paul Eidelberg
We don’t need Caroline Glick (God bless her) to convince you that Israel’s government consists of cretins and cravens (my words). We’ve known this since Moshe Dayan, with the approval of a unanimous cabinet government including the religious parties, renounced the miracle of the Six-Day War by giving the Arabs control of the Temple Mount, the holiest site of the Jewish people. These Jews denied and desecrated the Name of God—which this obtuse and pusillanimous government has been doing for no less than 43 years.
Caroline Click says Israel must tell the truth, the truth about the pernicious consequence of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and more so about the genocidal designs of Israel’s enemies.
But what about the truth concerning Israel’s greatest enemy: its very own government? Ever since the Six-Day War, Israel has been lead by traitors—and not just moral traitors, because the government’s policy of “territory for peace” constitutes a violation of Israeli law, as attorney Howard Grief has exhaustively shown. The truth is that Israel’s government—including its Supreme Court—has betrayed the birthright of the Jewish people.
Having turned away from God, Israel’s government has renounced the only justification for the Jewish state. More precisely, the only justification for the existence of this state is the Torah. This is not a political conclusion so much as a logical or rational conclusion. In rejecting logic or reason, Israel’s ruling elites have succumbed to stupidity and self-abasement.
This stupidity is exemplified by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ardent desire to negotiate with Muslims dedicated to Israel’s annihilation. Merely to negotiate with these enemies of civilization—read Wafa Sultan—is symptomatic of a terminal disease. (See my book Demophrenia: Israel and the Malaise of Democracy.) Only an idiot or a madman would deal with those committed to his destruction.
No one should know this better than Jews—the only people having a universal history, a history punctuated by the envious and murderous hatred of the non-Jewish world—above all, Muslims.
Thus, by abandoning God and the Torah, the source of Jewish wisdom and nobility, Israel’s government has become foolish and base. Isn’t this obvious?
Yes, and it’s precisely the function of Israel’s enemies to make Israel look ignominious, for that facilitates and perpetuates their own wickedness and idolatry. Israel—authentic Israel—disturbs the complacency mankind and gives people a bad conscience. People want to feel good about themselves, and one way of doing this is by scapegoating others. Thus, prior to her, Israel’s world-historical function is to serve as the scapegoat of mankind.
Israel is not going to be redeemed by brilliant political analysis. Indeed, the latter may make a lot of people—pundits and politicians—“politically correct.” No, we need Torah analysis on the one hand, and Torah-inspired policies on the other. We need war strategy based on Torah principles, including the principle of preemption.

Israel's Actions: Legal and Necessary - Naomi Ragen
Friends,
Many of you, who love Israel, are totally confused by what happened to the
terrorist flotilla trying to break Israel's naval blockade of Gaza. Below
is the legal background. It is to be noted that the other ships in the
flotilla were boarded peacefully by Israeli soldiers, whose plan was to take
the ships to the port of Ashdod where the supplies they wished to transfer
to Gaza would be inspected and if they contained nothing to aid terrorism,
would be transferred to the people of Gaza by Israel. Only one ship,The
Mavi Marmara, decided to make war. They got war, and it wasn't pretty, but
it was necessary. I hope you will read the information below, provided by
Israel's Foreign Ministry, and pass it on. The link to the website is on
the bottom.

1. A maritime blockade is in effect off the coast of Gaza. Such blockade has
been imposed, as Israel is currently in a state of armed conflict with the
Hamas regime that controls Gaza, which has repeatedly bombed civilian
targets in Israel with weapons that have been smuggled into Gaza via the
sea.
2. Maritime blockades are a legitimate and recognized measure under
international law that may be implemented as part of an armed conflict at
sea.
3. A blockade may be imposed at sea, including in international waters, so
long as it does not bar access to the ports and coasts of neutral states.
4. The naval manuals of several western countries, including the US and
England recognize the maritime blockade as an effective naval measure and
set forth the various criteria that make a blockade valid, including the
requirement of give due notice of the existence of the blockade.
5. In this vein, it should be noted that Israel publicized the existence of
the blockade and the precise coordinates of such by means of the accepted
international professional maritime channels. Israel also provided
appropriate notification to the affected governments and to the organizers
of the Gaza protest flotilla. Moreover, in real time, the ships
participating in the protest flotilla were warned repeatedly that a maritime
blockade is in effect.
6. Here, it should be noted that under customary law, knowledge of the
blockade may be presumed once a blockade has been declared and appropriate
notification has been granted, as above.
7. Under international maritime law, when a maritime blockade is in effect,
no boats can enter the blockaded area. That includes both civilian and
enemy vessels.
8. A state may take action to enforce a blockade. Any vessel that violates
or attempts to violate a maritime blockade may be captured or even attacked
under international law. The US Commander's Handbook on the Law of Naval
Operations sets forth that a vessel is considered to be in attempt to breach
a blockade from the time the vessel leaves its port with the intention of
evading the blockade.
9. Here we should note that the protesters indicated their clear intention
to violate the blockade by means of written and oral statements. Moreover,
the route of these vessels indicated their clear intention to violate the
blockade in violation of international law.
10. Given the protesters explicit intention to violate the naval blockade,
Israel exercised its right under international law to enforce the blockade.
It should be noted that prior to undertaking enforcement measures, explicit
warnings were relayed directly to the captains of the vessels, expressing
Israel's intent to exercise its right to enforce the blockade.
11. Israel had attempted to take control of the vessels participating in the
flotilla by peaceful means and in an orderly fashion in order to enforce the
blockade. Given the large number of vessels participating in the flotilla,
an operational decision was made to undertake measures to enforce the
blockade a certain distance from the area of the blockade.
12. Israeli personnel attempting to enforce the blockade were met with
violence by the protesters and acted in self defense to fend off such
attacks.
