A senior political source claims Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is willing to uproot most of Yesha in exchange for Obama's backing.

Arutz Sheva has received an unconfirmed report that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu plans to announce a plan to uproot communities and carry out mass evictions in Judea and Samaria.
Due to the political impasse between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Netanyahu is expected to propose a final status solution that would leave Israel with only the major settlement blocs and eastern Jerusalem.
All Jewish communities outside the major settlement blocs would reportedly face destruction under the plan.
The report follows a report Monday morning in the Hebrew-language Ma'ariv newspaper claiming that Netanyahu has agreed to relinquish sovereignty over the Jordan Valley.
A senior political source told Arutz Sheva that Netanyahu will present the plan to retreat from Judea and Samaria to U.S. President Barack Obama in exchange for the U.S. endorsing the principles Netanyahu laid out in his Bar Ilan speech.
Those principles are:

The Palestinians must recognize Israel as the Jewish nation’s state.
The treaty must be an end to the conflict.
The Arab refugee problem must be solved outside of Israel’s borders.
A Palestinian state will have to be demilitarized and a peace treaty must safeguard Israel’s security.
The settlement blocs will remain within the State of Israel and Jerusalem will remain its united capital.

While Netanyahu did not specifically mention the Jordan Valley in his Bar Ilan speech he did specify Israel would retain the strategically critical region "regardless of whatever final status agreements are made with the PA."
Netanyahu will reportedly return from his Washington visit and announce "painful concessions" whereby "Israel will implement a large retreat in many places in Judea and Samaria if the PA returns to the table and negotiations gain momentum."
According to the official the idea was initially floated during political talks between Netanyahu's envoy, attorney Yitzchak Molcho, and PLO chief negotiator Saeb Erekat.
It echoes an earlier report from PLO officials that Israel was willing to cede as much as 94% of Judea and Samaria in exchange for the major settlement blocs and eastern Jerusalem.
Earlier on Monday, Netanyahu's office dismissed the Ma'ariv report, calling it "a tendentious and distorted leak from the content of talks whose success depends on the discreetness that both sides committed to."

Americans are watching closely as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu faces a challenge for party leadership in Tuesday's Likud primary.

Americans are watching closely as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu heads off a challenge for Likud party leadership from perennial nationalist candidate Moshe Feiglin.
Most major networks and news wires in the U.S. have carried the news of this week's Likud party primary, set for Tuesday, January 31.
As lukewarm a fan of Israel's prime minister as the Obama White House might be, the prospect of an even stronger nationalist taking control of the governmental reins has caught the attention of most officials in the top echelons of Washington D.C.
The US-born Feiglin, 49, is not expected to win the contest, but pundits are predicting he could win up to a third of the mandates in this, his fourth attempt to seize the leadership of the Likud.
A resident of Judea and Samaria, Feiglin has for years headed the Manhigut HaYehudit (Jewish Leadership) faction, convinced that Netanyahu “sold out” to the leftist influences, which the prime minister denies. The challenger opposes further talks with the Palestinian Authority and believes that Israel should annex Judea and Samaria.
In addition, he has proposed that Israel retake Gaza, from which nearly 10,000 Jews were expelled by the government in 2005 in hopes of removing any further reason for conflict from PA Arabs in Gaza. Instead, PA terrorists in the region ramped up attacks from the area, Feiglin noted.
He also has proposed a financial incentive to persuade Arab families to emigrate from Judea, Samaria and Gaza in order to tip the demographic balance toward a Jewish presence.
"I provide an alternative,” he told reporters on Monday.

The Prime Minister will reportedly inform Likud ministers on Sunday that they will be out of a job if they defy him on the Outpost Law.

PM Netanyahu is expected to inform Likud ministers on Sunday that any Likud minister who votes for the Outpost Law will be fired from government.

The bill, authored by Minister Zevulun Orlev (Jewish Home), would forbid eviction and demolition orders for Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria that have stood for four years and have at least twenty families.

It also stipulates that all petitions disputing land claims must be proven through accepted evidentiary means in a court competent to hear the case. Should such a claim be found valid the court would be directed to order monetary compensation or alternative grant of land for the plaintiff.

Netanyahu, who has pointedly refused to bring the law to the Ministerial Committee on Legislation for several weeks in fear it will pass over his objections, wishes to ensure the law fails in the Knesset plenum.

Without the backing of the Ministerial Committee, laws generally fail to garner sufficient support to be passed into law. But Netanyahu and his office are painfully aware that many Likud ministers and faction heads intend to back the law, irrespective of his position.
Orlev is expected to put the Outpost Law on the Knesset agenda even without the Ministerial Committee's endorsement, on Monday.

Observers say the Outpost Law would could then be brought to a vote in the plenum as early as Wednesday. Nor, they say, will Netanyahu likely be able to convince Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin to refuse to bring the law to a vote.

Rivlin has gone on record saying that "one way or another" the community of Migron, which the bill seeks to save (among others), will be legalized.

Orlev is well aware that his bill has strong support among Likud lawmakers and other MKs in the ruling coalition who see it as a way to stop further demolitions of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria.

According to a recent poll 67% of the Likud-base supported the Outpost Law, while only 26% opposed it and 7% held no opinion.

When asked whether Likud ministers or faction members opposing the Outpost Law would cause them to vote against them in the coming Likud primaries 45% answered in the affirmative, 38% said it would have no impact, and 22% said they were unsure.

However, more telling was that 32% of the Likud base said, were Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to champion the Outpost Law, they would seriously consider transferring their support to his Israel Beiteinu faction in the next elections, if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu opposes it and the threatened communities are uprooted.

Analysts say, with Likud primaries just around the corner, that Likud lawmakers find themselves faced with a double edged sword vis-a-vis the Prime Minister and Likud base.
Additionally, the faction heads who head the party's comprising Netanyahu's coalition - and represent a majority of seats in the Knesset - have demanded the Prime Minister find a way to legalize threatened Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Some rightist experts are critical of the law, saying it has no legal standing, as Israeli law does not apply to Judea and Samaria, making the upholding of the law in international circles an impossibility.

However, with temperatures on the issue rising, there is little question, analysts say, that were they allowed to vote freely in the plenum without threats, the Outpost Law would have sufficient votes to pass.

The Prime Minister's Office refused to comment after Shabbat on Saturday evening. Netanyahu has backed moving Migron to a nearby location on land that is clearly the state's, as was done for Ramat Gilad.
In response to the threat to sack ministers who back the Outpost Law, MK Yaakov Katz (National Union) said, "The Netanyahu government has failed in its central role as a nationalist government: to save and secure the land of Israel."
"It not only prohibited the construction of thousands of needed homes, but has also demolished Jewish homes, and it refuses to normalize the status of neighborhoods and communities established by the governments of Israel facing destruction."
Katz added, "MK Orlev and I brought brought this to the Ministerial Committee on Legislation to prevent the demolition of threatened neighborhoods and communities."
"It will be a further test of this government and perhaps its last test before it falls."

The question of peace in the Middle East is a question of the Arabs

The ninth plague-darkness – has struck Egypt with a vengeance and Pharaoh breaks. Step by step he has retreated and after the eighth plague – locusts – he was prepared to allow the Jews to leave except for their children. Now he surrenders almost entirely as he agrees that all the Jews can leave. He only asks one thing, one compromise, one small victory for himself, that the Jewish cattle remain behind.

Consider; the Jews have been slaves for 210 years. They have lived in misery and persecution. They suffered decrees such as the one casting their male children into the sea. They cried out unto the L-rd for freedom and salvation. Now, apparently the great moment has arrived! Pharaoh agrees that they shall go free! What does it matter that he asks for their cattle? Give it to him! The main thing is peace and salvation and we are willing to give up cattle for peace!

But Moses knows that this is not the purpose of the freedom of the Jewish people and of the story of the slavery and exodus. He is not prepared to compromise one inch because he knows what the purpose of G-d is. When Moses first entered the presence of Pharaoh and said: “The L-rd, G-d of the Hebrews, has said: Let my people go!” Pharaoh contemptuously answered: “Who is the L-rd? I know not the L-rd and will not let Israel go!” Here is where the battle was joined. Here is the purpose and aim of creation – to have the world recognize the dominion and kingship of the L-rd being challenged. Pharaoh must be made to recognize and totally acknowledge the sovereignty of the L-rd over him and his people. He cannot make compromises; he cannot strike bargains. He must submit totally!

“And I shall be glorified through (the defeat of) Pharaoh and his army and Egypt shall know that I am the L-rd.” Only the total defeat of the wicked can raise and honor the name of the L-rd, says the Biblical commentator Rashi. This is why there will be no compromise with Pharaoh. He must totally submit, he must totally surrender.

And even when he apparently does this, after the plague of the first born, when he runs to Moses and says: “Get out, take your flocks with you, just leave and ask the L-rd to bless me!” Moses refuses and in the words of the Mechilta; “And he called unto Moses and Aaron in the middle of the night and said: get up and leave! Said Moses unto him: No, we have been ordered not to leave our houses until morning. What are we, thieves that we should slink out in the night? No, we will leave only in the morning with an upraised arm before the eyes of all the Egyptians!”

Not one inch of retreat here. The lesson of the L-rd being the Omnipotent, King of the universe must be seen and acknowledged.

The lesson is an eternal one and must be learned in our time, too. The question of peace in the Middle East is a question of the Arabs and the world acknowledging the total sovereignty of the All Mighty. There can be no compromise on this. It is only a peace that comes with Arabs submitting to the yoke of the heavenly kingdom that will be a permanent one and the Jew who gives up part of his land as a compromise, violates the entire purpose of the rise of the Jewish State and the demand of the All Mighty that the nations acknowledge Him as King. There can be no retreat from land because that is in essence a retreat also from the Kingship of the L-rd.

There is great agitation and indignation within the United Nations today. It all centers around demands for return by Israel of the land won from Jordan last year. What land? The area that is commonly known as the West Bank of the Jordan. There is really more than a little irony in this demand. Indeed, it approaches the heights of chutzpah.

It is not only that a state which attempted to destroy another one and lost has the gall to demand terms more properly suited to a victor.

It is not even the fact that the land Jordan demands was never legally and rightfully annexed by it in the first place.

It is really the fact that the state that calls itself Jordan is an entity that is illegal, per se.

As the great holy war swung into its full gear, the little king of the little Kingdom called Jordan began to rain his shells into Jewish Jerusalem. His troops crossed the armistice line and seized territory in the no-man’s land in the city. His words and acts were thrown into the battle to wipe out Israel and decimate its inhabitants.
Alas, Allah was unkind to Russia and the king’s legion, and uniforms flung aside, aircraft burning, shoes cast away – the Jordanians fled east. From the plunderer came forth plunder and the Israelis swept to the Jordan to put an end to the insanity of a border that, in one place, was only fifteen miles from the Arab devil to the blue Mediterranean Sea.

The land that was taken, however, was not “Jordanian.” It was part of pre-1948 Palestine; it was part or Eretz Yisroel, it was Jewish soil from the time of Abraham.

Here was the Old City of Jerusalem where Abraham brought his son Isaac for the Akeda; here was the city where David and his dynasty ruled; here was the sacred Temple Mount with its Western Wall waiting to be redeemed.

Here was Bethlehem where Rachel wept for her children on the way to Efrat.

Here was Hebron where the Patriarchs impatiently lay in anticipation of a speedy redemption.

Here was Jericho where the walls crashed down to herald the inheritance of the Holy Land by the Egyptian exodees.

Here was Judea and Samaria and all the places and sites that have become familiar to a Jewish and non-Jewish Biblical world.

Here was Jewish Eretz Yisroel, a land that had been reluctantly left outside the borders of a Jewish state in 1948 as the Jews of Palestine sorrowfully agreed to temporarily accept partition of their land in their desperate need of some land to house the displaced of Europe and the oppressed of greater Arabia.

But the agreement was conditional and the Arabs, predictably, relieved the Jewish state of any need to adhere to that condition. The Arabs in psychopathic consistency refused any idea of compromise and rejected partition. Their armies rushed in to battle the Yehudi, and the U.N. sat in an impotence that was destined to become its favorite pose.

It was Jewish blood that won and secured a Jewish state, and the plan that was rejected by the Arabs was buried, un-mourned and unlamented. And the West Bank of the Jordan? Under the U.N. plan it was to be given to an Arab Palestine state; under the Arab plan it to be given to an Arab Palestine state; under no circumstances did anyone foresee a usurper Jordan annexing it.

And yet, that is exactly what happened. Possessed of a British-trained and run Arab Legion, King Abdullah proved to be the only foe that Israel could not overcome. His army seized the West Bank and Old Jerusalem and decided that Israel would not have it and neither would an Arab Palestine be created.

From now on, it was to be part of Jordan. No one accepted this. The U.N. denied the legality of the move; the Israelis refused to recognize it and the Arab states themselves fumed at the annexation.

On December 13, 1948, Egypt’s King Farouk served notice that he did not recognize Jordan’s right to the West Bank. The Arab League threatened expulsion of Jordan from the body (Abdullah yawned and welcomed the move). Faced with a fait accompli, the Arab League never did recognize the grab but adopted a resolution on May 13, 1949 “to treat the Arab part of Palestine annexed by Jordan as a trust in its hands until the Palestine case is fully solved in the interests of its inhabitants.”

So much for the Jordanian claim to the West Bank. The land it claims is Jewish land, sorrowfully given up in return for a peace and friendship the Arabs never gave. Their rejection of the latter doomed the former, and the land returned to its true owners.

What is more important, however, is the need to examine the very basis of the travesty that calls itself Jordan. In itself it is an illegality, a travesty of justice, a robbery of Jewish possessions.

There never was Jordan until perfidious Albion – the British Colonial Ministry – decided to invent one.

When the Balfour Declaration backed the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine, there was never any country that was known as Jordan.

The historic boundaries of ancient Israel included the east bank of the Jordan, and Balfour himself made this clear in a memorandum dated August 11, 1919:

“Palestine should extend into the lands lying east of the Jordan?”

What happened?

A desert chieftain named Abdullah ibn-Hussein and his brother Feisal, fleeing the Arabian wrath of Ibn Saud, were offered in 1920 the thrones of Iraq and Syria, respectively. Unfortunately for the Arabs, the French, who were given mandatory powers in Syria by the League of Nations, informed Feisal that he was most unwelcome in Damascus. The Arab took the Gallic hint and departed
Since both brothers were British pawns in the struggle by the Colonial Office to make the Middle East British, Feisal was given the throne of Iraq by the British Foreign Office, while Abdullah was left holding an empty kingdom-bag.
Faced with this, Abdullah began to make all manner of bellicose sounds about marching on Syria and ousting the French. While Paris hardly lost sleep, the British did not relish the idea of a confrontation between their puppet and the French and so, in 1921, Winston Churchill met with Abdullah and offered him an annual subsidy and established a new country to be known as “Transjordan” for Abdullah to rule.

It little mattered that such a step was illegal and that it robbed Jewish Palestine of a major share of its land. Whitehall proposed and Whitehall disposed.

Transjordan came into being, a comic-opera illegality, ruled in theory by Abdullah but in practice by London.

This was the state that on May 31, 1967 signed a defense agreement with Nasser to destroy Israel; this was the state that declared through its king, on that same day: “With the help of G-d and the solidarity of the Arabs we will see the victory of truth over the lie-s of the enemy”; this is the state whose radio declared during the terrible days of June 1967.

Rabin was waiting, but the Jordanians never came. They busily were heading in the opposite direction, where they sit today, and demand the return of a territory that was never theirs to a state that was illegal from its inception.

Moshe Feiglin stands for Israel annexing and settling all lands liberated during the war of 1967, for ending the taking of all foreign aid, and for Israeli leaders making their decisions by taking into account that Israel should be run according to Jewish values as opposed to by secular, globalist or humanist values.

Why must I, a cold-country New Englander and a solitary mountain dweller with a broken foot, be the only American to write about the upcoming election in Israel for leadership in the Likud, as critical to Israel’s destiny and to American interests in Israel as the fateful primary in South Carolina?

The Israeli paper Arutz Sheva reports that Moshe Feiglin, who is challenging Benjamin Netanyahu for leadership of Likud in the party's primaries two weeks from now, cited a favorable poll Tuesday morning as evidence that his chances of seriously embarrassing Netanyahu are high, and that a victory by Netanyahu is not a complete certainty: “In a poll conducted by polling company Ma’agar Mochot, about 26 percent of Likud members not affiliated with Feiglin's faction agreed that ‘it is important to vote for Moshe Feiglin in the upcoming primaries, even though it is clear that Binyamin Netanyahu will win, just so that the right wing inside Likud will gain strength.’ "

As Feiglin has written not long ago, this year for the first time there are more Jews living inside Israel than outside: "The exile is over."

European Jews have been returning to the source in Jerusalem since 1492. It has been a journey homeward, like a parallel event; a shadow journey of European Jewry joining in with the gentile world on the way here to New York City. But the last 500 yards of the journey, up the steps to Temple Mount, where Jews are arrested today and sometimes beaten by police for praying, is proving to be one of the most treacherous links of the journey.

The changes we face today in the United States are generational: Bush, Clinton generations moving out of the scene and carrying with them their generation gods, demons and furniture. Israel faces a similar generational change which portends Netanyahu and the American-dominated Israelis leaving the scene now or in the near future. That is why this race is critical.

These upcoming races move toward an auspicious future where Israel and the United States, alone or together in a different way than they are now, both enter light and air. Europe faces a different trajectory and different destiny; a journey that recedes from Yalta inauspiciously as capital flees to Asia. Bret Stephens, columnist of the Wall Street Journal, calls Europe’s state a “slow suicide.” But Israel and Europe have different destinies.

Ten years hence Americans will have new friends in Israel and Israel will have new American friends. There is no telling with Europe; moral descent of the world geist since Yalta can be seen not only in the collapsing economy but descending as well from the clarity and density of Hannah Arendt writing to the one-world voices today of Lady Gaga, Bono and Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats. Where can they possibly go from here?

As Stephens suggests in a recent column, the sinking of the cruise ship suggests Europe’s trajectory. Should be noted that the first harbinger of a plague in Europe in the 14th century came when a trade ship entered the port at Constantinople and everyone on board was found to be dead.

But that is not our fate and it will not be Israel’s. The generations will shift and rise in the upcoming election in Israel and in the races here in the coming year.

Bolton: Iran May Be Closer To A Bomb Than We Think

A report that Iran is about a year away from having the capability to build a nuclear bomb may be too optimistic, contended John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
“I worry the publicly available information is giving only a very small picture and that Iran is actually even much further along,” Bolton said in a radio interview.
Bolton was on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s WABC Radio. The former ambassador was asked about a statement from a former head of UN nuclear inspections claiming Iran is now just a year or so away from having enough enriched uranium to assemble a nuclear bomb.....

United We Stand: By Moshe Feiglin

If the pictures of last week's destroyed outposts had been of Bedouin villages or illegal houses in the Galilee, the whole country would have been up in arms. Leftist author Amos Oz would have run to build the destroyed homes with his own two hands, the media would have incessantly interviewed the children who were thrown out of their beds in the middle of the night and enraged Arabs would have ignited all the mixed Jewish/Arab towns throughout Israel.

But Jewish children in their pajamas standing in the freezing cold outside their destroyed houses; Torah scrolls crumpled in the mud amidst the ruins of synagogues – none of that is 'news'.

There is no dearth of rivalry within the Left; both personal and ideological. But when they face off against the settlers and the Right, they present a united front. There are no 'extremists' in the Left. You can be funded by foreign governments to directly undermine your country and aid its declared enemies; you can organize violent demonstrations weekly, stoning IDF soldiers, injuring over 700 (!) soldiers and Border Police; you can refuse to serve in the army; you can break the law and riot as much as you want. If you are a leftist, fighting the Left's battle of disintegration and retreat – you are in the consensus; you have a reserved seat at the round tables, in the universities, on television and ironically – even at meetings with the settlers.

On the other hand, if you settle the Land of Israel with dedication, but not exactly according to the ideological nuances of one yeshiva or another – you are alone. On the morning after the destruction, no Amos Oz or other spiritual leaders will be there for you. The rabbi of one sub-group will be afraid to come to encourage and lend legitimacy to the outpost of the other sub-group. And vice versa.

When the home of Nati Ozeri was destroyed along with all the belongings inside and his widow and small orphans were thrown out into the frozen Hebron night, I came with just a few people to help. No settler leader or spiritual guide was there. In my eyes, this is the underlying reason that those thousands who considered themselves firmly ensconced within the consensus and the law suffered the same hell just a few years later.

The fear of supporting the basic rights of the person whom we perceive as more extreme than we are paralyzes us all. One does not have to agree with the controversial book, Torat Hamelech or the 'price-tag' operations in order to stand with the families whose husbands were expelled from their homes by army orders originally reserved for terrorists – and were then charged with spying.

As a resident of Samaria, I feel humiliated by the way we treat ourselves. Is it a surprise that we get the same treatment from the pogromchicks and Israeli society? The way that society relates to the settlers is simply a reflection of how we relate to ourselves. If the heads and rabbis of the settlement movement do not pick the Torah scroll out from the rubble and mud and rebuild Mitzpeh Avichai with their own hands their message is clear: Those people in the outposts are 'extremists', so the abomination that was perpetrated against them is legitimate. Why should the rest of the Israeli public think otherwise?
In the meantime, the evil winds are blowing and every week the militias in black show up in the middle of the night, biting off another house and another family.

When Ehud Barak sent the security forces to destroy Ramat Gilad, I came there to be with the residents of the outpost. Speaking before the large group that had assembled there, my assessment was that Netanyahu would not let it happen. "He has primaries in another month," I said. "He will not campaign for me. But as to the outposts that are not supported by the settler mainstream, Bibi calculates – unfortunately correctly – that he can destroy them now without causing himself any damage. So until January 31st you can all sleep soundly. Nobody will come to destroy your homes." It turns out that Barak had attempted to destroy Ramat Gilad without Netanyahu's knowledge; my assessment was correct.

The pressure on the Prime Minister before the Likud primaries may force him to authorize the law to 'legalize' the outposts before voting day. If that happens, it will turn out ex post facto that the fact that I am running against Netanyahu in the primaries has temporarily saved Migron and Givat Asaf.

But even if that happens, it will be just a temporary respite in the losing battle that the settlements have been waging ever since the Oslo Accords were signed. Today, nobody even remembers that Neveh Dekalim was built by the Labor party and Yitzhar by the Likud. Netanyahu has declared his intention to establish a 'Palestinian' state, every week Jewish families are thrown out of their homes, the only city being built in Judea or Samaria is the Arab Wahabi, and on their way to work, the settlers must drive through international border crossings.

The inability of the leaders of the Right and the settlement movement to give their full backing to the different sub-groups within – and their inability to establish an ideological alternative to the direction in which Zionism is retreating – plays into the hands of the Left and perpetuates the Oslo Accords.

Peace Now did not petition the court against Gush Katif and no legal problems threatened it. The evil winds that threatened Gush Katif are still threatening Ofra and Beit El, Migron and Givat Asaf – with or without the law to legalize the outposts.

LIkud Primaries Present a Real Choice

The Likud primary election of January 31, 2012 is not about who will be the next head-of-Likud. This primary is not about a politician. It is not about politics. It is about us. It is about how we see ourselves—and how we define our future: are we a nation that is so afraid of others that we should back-pedal and bow silently before those who hate us? Or, are we a nation on the threshold of our destiny, confident in our faith, our G-d and our right to our land?
This year’s primary is crucial for our future because we are a nation at war. This might be a minority opinion, but 2012-2014 will bring a war (diplomatic or actual or both) that will seek to delegitimize us, destroy us or haul us before a United Nations that seems to believe we have no right to exist.
It is a war against those who would destroy us joining with those who would facilitate that destruction-- a scenario built by our enemies that was actually written into the Bible more than 2,200 years ago.
There is no way to avoid this war. It is reasonable to believe that, given the stature of Likud in Israel, the winner of this month’s primary could well be Israel’s next leader. But because we are at war, no matter who gets selected, we will fight some kind of war.
Even if we elect a leftist on a platform of appeasement and surrender—we will still be at war: the enemy is implacable. Indeed, our history in the Middle East clearly demonstrates that the more Israel offers to surrender, the more aggressive (not peaceful) our enemy becomes. The question voters in Israel will face in the next national election will not be, who will help us avoid war. Rather, the question will be, who will be more steadfast defending us in that war?
On January 31, 2012, Likud has to choose that man: Benjamin Netanyahu or Moshe Feiglin.
Benjamin Netanyahu, while Likud, has chosen to go leftward, not the Likud way. His administration harasses Jews in Judea and Samaria, allows anti-religious secularists in the IDF to pressure and coerce religious soldiers, defends a leftist High Court, and more. Israel’s left, like the Hellenists of yore, rejects the Jewish religion and dedicates itself to a desire to become non-Jewish. Its passion to de-Judaize is the passion of the zealot. The left would give everything holy to those who hate us. Jewish values and Jewish survival are non-starters.
And they refuse to prepare for the consequences of their own peace plan: they offer no plan to re-house up to hundreds of thousands of displaced Jews when the new ‘Palestine’ they promote demands to be Judenrein (Jew-free); they have no plan to pay for securing the new (vulnerable) borders they propose; and they offer no explanation to us how we can expect peace when Arab media, politicians and education feed the Arab public a steady stream of Jew-hatred. They don’t care. They appear so tired of their Jewishness they just want to surrender, to get it over with: why else would they have no interest in planning for the consequences of their ‘peace’ with such people? They are too exhausted to care.
While Mr Netanyahu is not an outright leftist, theirs is the message he appears to have embraced. He rejects Likud. Before the nations of the world, he back-pedals, delays and says yes-then-no-then-yes to their demands. By inches, he surrenders. He bows, moves backwards and bows again.
Moshe Feiglin gives Israel an alternative. He will not rush to surrender. He will not appease. He does not fear Israel’s destiny. He will not bow or shuffle backwards. But he will also not be brazen or rash because he understands the Bible, theTanach. He understands Likud’s platform—and he understands Arab hatred.
A July, 2011 survey found that 58 per cent of Israelis call themselves mildly-strongly religious. That is why so many Israelis identify with Moshe Feiglin. He understands Jewish consciousness. He understands Jewish values.
The Jewish religion does not speak of surrender or bowing to the nations; neither does Moshe Feiglin. Instead, the Jewish religion speaks of the G-d of Israel. So does Moshe Feiglin. Israelis understand this. They want a leader who reflects their values. They want to see a leader who believes in G-d. They want to see Jewish courage, not Jews bowing and back-pedaling.
Likud voters have a choice: proud Judaism or universal secularism, courage or fear, steadfastness or appeasement. As I see it, the choice between Moshe Feiglin and Benjamin Netanyahu could not be more distinct.

MK Tibi Praises Arab 'Martyrs'

MK Ahmed Tibi uses "Palestinian Martyrs Day" to praise Arab martyrs who committed terror attacks against Israelis. By Elad Benari

MK Ahmed Tibi (Raam-Taal) praised the Palestinian Authority’s “martyrs” at a ceremony held last week on the occasion of "Palestinian Martyrs Day” and sponsored by PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

The ceremony, which was broadcast on official PA TV, was translated by the Palestinian Media Watch research organization, which presented the translated video on its website.
“In the history of the peoples and their battles, the Palestinian shahid (martyr) is the height of glory,” Tibi said. “There is no higher value than death for the sake of Allah. The martyr is the one who breaks through and with his blood draws the journey to freedom and liberation.”

“The shahid is a symbol of the homeland,” he added. “I want to offer my blessings to the thousands of martyrs in the homeland and in exile, and congratulations to our and your shahids inside the Green Line, those whom the occupier wants to refer to as terrorists while we say that there is nothing higher than those who die for the homeland. That occupier is the real terrorist and in Israel he is considered a hero or a cabinet minister.”
The term “shahid” in Islam is used for a person who died for Allah, and in the PA that term is used to describe the terrorists who committed suicide attacks against Israelis.
Tibi, a former gynecologist and a longtime aide to PLO founder Yasser Arafat, has a long history of statements against the State of Israel, despite the fact that he serves as an elected member of its parliament.

In September, he went to New York to be a part of the Palestinian Authority’s delegation to the United Nations when it presented its unilateral statehood bid.
He also recently proposed an amendment to Israel's Basic Laws that would proscribe Israeli residents in Judea and Samaria from serving on the Supreme Court.

A State Comptroller’s report recently revealed that Tibi’s Raam-Taal party used public taxpayer funding to pay for engraved plaques, which it awarded to six terrorists who took part in the assault on IDF soldiers on board the Mavi Marmara.
On Tuesday, the Knesset's Ethics Committee ruled that Tibi would be distanced from the Knesset plenum and committees for seven days.
The ban is Tibi's punishment for crude remarks he made regarding MK Anastassia Michaeli (Yisrael Beitenu) following the incident in which she intentionally spilled water on MK Raleb Majadle (Labor).

MK Tibi said in a one-minute speech to the plenum last week that MK Michaeli's "plumbing has gotten messed up,” adding that Michaeli "grew up in the manure rows of Yisrael Beitenu" and explaining that there was a logical progression from her so-called "Muezzin bill" that would limit the use of loudspeakers in minarets to the water incident, in which she "ran amok with a glass of water."

This was an excuse for him to play on the Hebrew word for "glass" and the word "amok" – which, uttered together, sound like a particularly vile Arabic curse.

Nothing can more decisively outline in stark detail the contrast and contradiction between authentic Judaism and the gentilized Hellenism that challenges it than the secular university. The very basis of the university, with its concept of total academic freedom and open marketplace of ideas (and let us not, for the moment, discuss the fraud that this is in actuality), runs counter to Judaism with its absolute truths.

But even for those liberal and secular Jews who choose the university ideal over that of Judaism, what is happening at Hebrew University should be cause for deep soul-searching on the part of any contributor and supporter of that institution. For I say, with absolute conviction, that Hebrew University (in common with other institutions of “higher learning” in Israel), more than any other single source, is the producer of the greatest danger to Israel’s body and soul . . .

In simple, basic language: the group that now represents the Arab students at Hebrew University, the 1,150 Arab students – all whom are Israeli citizens – who study at the Hebrew University, the 1,150 Israeli Arab students who study there thanks to Israeli taxpayers and, but more important, thanks to the American contributors to Hebrew University is a group that calls for the elimination of Israel and its replacement with “Palestine.” That this should cause shock waves in Israel is yet one more cause for weeping and for appreciation of the massive damage done to the Jewish people and state by the news media of Israel.

The Iranian Nuclear Threat to Israel: Options

Israel should not expect stable coexistence with a nuclear Iran. It must enhance active defense, improve nuclear deterrence and target selected Iranian infrastructures. However, Israeli preemption tactics are becoming far more limited as time passes.

Louis Rene Beres (Ph.D., Princeton, 1971) is a professor of Political Science and International Law at Purdue University. He is the author of many books, monographs, and articles dealing with Israeli security matters, nuclear strategy and nuclear war.

On January 16, 2003, the "Project Daniel" Group advised then Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on the threat of Iranian nuclear weapons.1

This report, which contained substantial legal and strategic recommendations, urged the prime minister to suitably enhance Israel’s deterrence and defense postures; to consider a prompt end to deliberate nuclear ambiguity (if Iran should be permitted to become nuclear); and to appropriately refine pertinent preemption options. It also concluded that Israel should not expect stable coexistence with a nuclear Iran and that active national defense should be increased and strengthened accordingly.

Israel’s active defense strategy involves mutually reinforcing the Arrow, Iron Dome, and, in the future, Magic Wand systems. To adequately protect against a potential WMD attack from Iran, however, these advanced elements of ballistic missile defense are not enough. They must be optimally complemented by improved Israeli nuclear deterrence and by a capacity for viable conventional first strikes against selected Iranian military and industrial targets. Under no circumstances, advised Project Daniel, should Israel assume that a safe and durable “balance of terror” could ever be created with Tehran.

Generally, in strategic thinking, deterrence logic must be based on an assumption of enemy rationality. This assumption might not always be warranted in the case of Iran. Any purported analogy between Iran and the US deterrence relationship with the former Soviet Union would be facile, or simply misguided.

If Iran's current leadership could somehow meet the core test of rationality, always valuing national survival over other preferences or combination of preferences, there could still remain intolerable security risks to Israel. In part, these risks would be associated with Tehran's expectedly problematic command and control of any future nuclear capabilities. For example, even a determinedly rational Iranian leadership could base critical nuclear decisions upon erroneous information, assorted computer errors, or fragile pre-delegations of launch authority.

The related vulnerability of command and control to violent regime overthrow in Tehran must also be taken into close account by decision makers in Jerusalem. Ironically, there can be no assurances that any new or "improved" regime in Iran would necessarily pose a diminished security threat to Israel.

If Israel's active defense systems were accurately presumed 100 percent effective, even an irrational Iranian adversary armed with nuclear or biological weapons could be kept at bay without defensive first strikes or any threats of retaliation. But no ballistic missile defense system can ever be “leak proof.”

Terrorist proxies in ships or trucks, not missiles, could deliver Iranian nuclear attacks upon Israel. In such low-tech, but distinctly high consequence assaults, there would be no security benefit to Israel from its deployed anti-missile defenses.

Israel can never depend entirely upon its anti-ballistic missiles to defend against future WMD attacks from Iran any more than it can rely entirely on nuclear deterrence. This does not mean that active defense is a less than vital part of Israel's larger security apparatus. It is vital, but it is not sufficient.

Every state has a right under international law to act preemptively when facing potentially existential aggression. The 1996 Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice even extends such lawful authority to the preemptive use of nuclear weapons in certain residual or last-resort circumstances. For now, however, any purposeful Israeli resort to "anticipatory self-defense" would surely be non-nuclear.

Nonetheless, it is quite likely that the operational window for any such cost effective conventional tactic has already closed and that Israel would decline any remaining nuclear preemption option, albeit lawful. For now it seems that any Israeli "preemption" would necessarily be far more limited, perhaps involving the targeted killing of selected enemy scientists or military figures and substantially expanded cyber-warfare.

If Iran should be allowed to become nuclear, in plain contravention of its Non-Proliferation Treaty obligations, Israel would immediately need to enhance the credibility of its (presumed) nuclear deterrent. This robust second-strike strategic force, hardened, multiplied, and dispersed, would have to be fashioned, observably, to inflict a decisive retaliatory blow against selected enemy cities. In military terms, this means for Israel a more openly counter value-targeted nuclear force.

Significantly, the dangers of a nuclear Iran could directly impact the US. While it might still be several years before any Iranian missiles could strike American territory, the US could still become as vulnerable as Israel to certain nuclear-armed terrorist surrogates. In this connection, any American plan for a “rogue state” anti-ballistic missile shield, for us, and for our NATO allies, would have precisely the same limited protection benefits as Israel’s already-deployed active defense systems.

As long as Iran proudly announces its literally genocidal intentions toward Israel, while simultaneously and illegally developing nuclear weapons and infrastructures, Jerusalem has no reasonable choice but to protect itself with the best means available.

Under longstanding international law, every government's most basic and incontestable obligation is the assurance of protection to its citizens.

The Birth of Manhigut Yehudit

In 5752 (1992) the Labor party’s Yitzchak Rabin became Prime Minister of Israel. Rabin’s government subsequently initiated and signed the Oslo Accords, creating a fracture in Religious Zionism and threatening the settlements in Yesha both ideologically and practically. The Yesha Council organized a long series of demonstrations that attracted tens of thousands of Israelis. But even at that stage – ten years before the Disengagement - the settlers found themselves with "patriotic" leadership that was prepared to do everything…except win.

When the hopelessness of the established struggle became apparent, private groups attempted to create a more effective struggle. One of these groups was Zo Artzeinu. What set Zo Artzeinu apart from the other Right wing organizations was its emphasis on the fact that the State is meant to serve the nation and the land, and not vice versa. In keeping with this perspective, Zo Artzeinu adopted the principles of refusal to obey army orders and non-violent civil disobedience. On the 12th of Av, 5755 (exactly 10 years before the pogrom of Gush Katif) Zo Artzeinu brought 100,000 Israelis out to protest in the streets and intersections, paralyzing traffic throughout Israel. It was the most widespread civic struggle that the State of Israel had ever known. Zo Artzeinu leaders Moshe Feiglin and Shmuel Sackett were convicted of sedition and sentenced to jail terms.

Zo Artzeinu introduced a new perspective on the role of the belief-based public in Israeli society. It evinced a refreshing fighting spirit, leading its public struggle with the actual intention of winning. Secondly, it saw the belief based public as a potential leader on the national level and not just as a group of candidates ready to jump on the bandwagon being driven by others. This perspective was an important contribution to the Religious Zionist camp and paved the way for the establishment of Manhigut Yehudit.

The Goal of Manhigut Yehudit
Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu rode the wave of anti-Oslo protest and was elected Prime Minister of Israel in 1996. Netanyahu's victory, which came after Yitzchak Rabin was assassinated, was a victory against all odds. It could not have happened without the active support of the Oslo opponents. But when the Arabs embarked on the Western Wall Riots, killing sixteen Israeli soldiers, Right wing PM Netanyahu turned his back on the public that had worked so hard to get him elected. Instead of announcing the end of the Oslo Accords, he warmly shook Arafat's hand in both of his. With this act, Netanyahu effectively eliminated the National Camp that had brought him to power.

From that point on, the belief based public was left with only two options: either to continue to ride the Likud bandwagon with the clear knowledge that it will ultimately implement a policy of destruction or to attempt to create alternative leadership for Israel – belief based leadership.

The Zo Artzeinu veterans shouldered responsibility and began the process of creating belief based leadership for the State of Israel. Manhigut Yehudit was born. As opposed to Zo Artzeinu, whose goal was to fight against the destructive process that had already been set in motion, Manhigut Yehudit was established to create a governing alternative based on Jewish faith. Essentially, Manhigut Yehudit continued from where Zo Artzeinu had left off. There is no reason to enter the tunnel of the struggle if there is no light at its end. The opposite is also true. When the true alternative can already be detected on the horizon, the struggle against the destructive process is infused with energy and purpose.

First Activities
Manhigut Yehudit started out in 5755 (1995), clarifying its ideology and searching for leadership tools. The weekly newsletter, Lechatchilah was launched in 5756 (1996). In the following years, Manhigut Yehudit promoted the idea of belief based leadership and suggested ideas for its practical expression. Many attempts to convince well-known public figures to lead the process and to announce their candidacy for the premiership failed. With that option exhausted, Manhigut Yehudit organized a Belief Based Public Census. The idea was to create pressure from the public that would show the potential leaders that they have many voters on whom they can count. Thousands of people did sign up, but the project failed when no known belief based public figure agreed to take responsibility and lead. Manhigut Yehudit also presented its candidate for President of the State of Israel (Professor Branover). In addition, feelers were put out to begin a new political party.

During that entire period, Manhigut Yehudit ceaselessly worked on changing public consciousness. Countless articles, gatherings, books, newsletters, radio interviews, internet and more, acquainted the public with its new idea. Even today, Manhigut Yehudit's greatest success is in the fact that it has created a new public awareness. The idea that initially seemed totally unrealistic became the rallying cry of the entire belief based public. Even those people who vocally oppose Manhigut Yehudit's tactical strategy present themselves today as aspiring to Manhigut's goal of belief based leadership for Israel.

Joining the Likud
In the elections of 1999, the Likud's Binyamin Netanyahu lost the premiership to Ehud Barak of the Labor party. The Likud suffered a serious defeat and was left with only 19 Knesset mandates. Netanyahu resigned and Ariel Sharon "temporarily" took over management of the Likud until the primaries. In 5760 (2000) two Likud founders approached Moshe Feiglin and suggested that he become a member of the Likud while encouraging the public that was at the forefront of previous struggles to join the party as well. The goal: Moshe Feiglin would run for the leadership of the Likud. After consultations, Feiglin adopted the idea. Since then, Manhigut Yehudit has worked within the framework of the Likud. In this framework, Manhigut Yehudit found itself involved in many political battles. From the very beginning, the new and unknown Feiglin insisted on running for leadership of the Likud against Netanyahu and Sharon. Although Feiglin got only 3.5% of the votes, he did succeed in clearly delineating the goal of Manhigut Yehudit. No more demonstrations or attempts to wield political influence over others. Manhigut Yehudit has one goal: Leadership of the country.

Manhigut Yehudit succeeded in putting together a very impressive list of its members, who were elected to the Likud Central Committee. Manhigut's people were appointed to important Likud committees and managed to pass important Likud decisions, such as the Likud referendum on the Disengagement.

Manhigut Yehudit's greatest success in the Likud was in the primaries for leadership of the movement in Kislev, 5766 (December 2006). Seven candidates began the race: Former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Shaul Mufaz, Education Minister Limor Livnat, Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, Agricultural Minister Yisrael Katz, Former Internal Security Minister Uzi Landau – and Moshe Feiglin, who had never even been a Knesset member. Feiglin's campaign was widely and intensively covered by the media, bringing the idea of a belief based alternative for leadership of the country to every home in Israel. Most importantly – one third of the votes that Moshe Feiglin received in the primaries came from Likud members who were not associated with Manhigut Yehudit. Feiglin came in third place, behind Netanyahu and Shalom. The other candidates (except Yisrael Katz) quit the race when they saw that the polls were predicting that Feiglin was going to bypass them. Defense Minister Mufaz even used this fact as an excuse to defect from the Likud to Kadimah.

So What Have We Accomplished in the Likud?
A lot. The Likud provided Manhigut Yehudit with a tangible plane on which to promote its goals. Manhigut Yehudit could have remained a strictly ideological movement. It could have become another right wing political party. But then it would not have attained a fraction of the public awareness that it has achieved by choosing to advance in the leadership arena of the National Camp – the Likud.

"If you will it, it is no dream," said Herzl. By joining the Likud, we have succeeded in bringing our will into mainstream public awareness. Jewish leadership is no longer a dream.

Feiglin: Lapid is a Person Who Says Nothing: An Interview in Ma'ariv

On January 31, the 130,000 members of the Likud will elect the chairman of their party and their representatives to the party's legislative body. PM Binyamin Netanyahu, who set the election date for the chairmanship of the party in a surprise move, was so successful with his surprise that except for Moshe Feiglin, there is no other candidate willing to run against him.

Moshe Feiglin, do you really think you have a chance to beat Netanyahu?
It is clear to me that I will ultimately win; not necessarily in the upcoming elections, but at some point in time, it will happen. I have already run for leadership of the Likud three times. The first time I won 3% of the vote, the second time 13% and the last time, 23%. True, this time the contest is much more difficult, for I am running against a ruling prime minister who has a lot more power. But ultimately, I believe that I will win, within the framework of my larger plan.
The Wright Brothers' first prototype crashed more than one hundred times before it finally took off. In retrospect, each crash was paving the path to the take-off. I don't see a race in which I do not get 51% as a crash. Every time that I run, my ideas filter into Israeli society. Today, there is already a very respectable circle of Likud members who understand my ideas – and that circle is growing and deepening.

And what are your ideas?
The State of Israel must solidify its Jewish – not religious – identity. By the way, I do not define myself as a religious person, but rather, as a Jew. Today, I see the State of Israel as a plane that is always trying to escape – so far successfully – anti-aircraft missiles that are being shot at it.
Netanyahu, the pilot in the cockpit, deserves a medal for this adept maneuvering between all the missiles. But there is just one small problem: the plane must also be flying somewhere. The destination of the plane is marked out on my map, but it is not in Netanyahu's cockpit.
In other words, my goal is to define a destiny and goal from which the State of Israel can draw the content and energies it needs for its existence. The fact that we are happy for every additional day that ends quietly and do not dare to dream of anything more than that is a huge problem. Today, in Cambridge University and others like it, they no longer believe in Israel's right to exist. So while official Israel recognizes the existence of a "Palestinian nation" the world no longer recognizes our existence.

What are your exact positions?
There are a number of central areas that I would like to focus on: Jewish education: Every student in Israel's educational system should be taught Judaism for one hour every day. Not religion or coercion, but enough so that the student should know the Tanach, history and the Jewish prayer book. He will not have to pray, but he should know where he came from.
Another point is family: The State of Israel effectively attacks the family unit. It no longer pays to be a married couple. Many couples divorce so that they can get more tax breaks. An additional point is community: I plan to strengthen the bond between family and community and also to strengthen the existing communities by introducing regional elections. Every American citizen can call his congressman when he needs help. Here, you have to be a member of the Likud Central Committee if you want to get something.

What do you think about the right wing Knesset members' attack on Israel's media?
I am for liberty and for a battle against all types of coercion. There should be free access to broadcasting that represents the entire public. If an Arab wants to broadcast from his town, let him do so. If somebody breaks the law, he can be jailed. But why does the state decide who can broadcast? I am talking about freedom of speech, freedom to broadcast and true freedom of expression.

What about economy?
We need Jewish economy; a free market without core shareholders. The base of the economy should be capitalism, but it must be tempered with faith and kindness. Capitalism that is not in a cultural envelope that modifies and restrains it fosters greed. Faith and kindness provide the restraint that it needs.

These ideas will give us legitimacy in Cambridge?
When you ask British intellectuals why they do not recognize the State of Israel, they say that they had expectations of the People of the Book; they wanted us to bring them a new culture. They say that our state is nothing more than an imitation of what already exists, but that it is always producing wars and conflict with the Arab world. As far as they are concerned, the experiment has failed and it would be best to close up shop. They anticipated a new message that would emerge from Zion, and in the meantime, all they have gotten from us is great disappointment.

What is happening within the Likud?
I sense that Netanyahu feels very pressured. He is not fighting to win, because he assumes that he will. He is fighting very hard, though, for every percentage point of support, for the struggle, as far as he is concerned is for complete hegemony over the Likud. Netanyahu is creating great pressure and spending a lot of money to make the Likud a party ruled by one man. This will save him the trouble of maintaining a dialogue with the party's institutions. I do not know if Netanyahu really thinks that he will easily defeat me, because on the ground, he is investing a lot of effort in this race.

What type of efforts?
There is a feeling of fear in the Likud camp. It starts with the mayors and seeps through the heads of the Likud branches and down to the local activists. I keep hearing stories of people who are threatened that if they do not bring in high percentages of votes for Netanyahu, they will not be receiving the funds that they are slated to get. I do not have these means, but I am happy to say that there is a phenomenon that I have never seen before in the Likud: The Likud members who understand that if they want their party to remain intact, they must not give Netanyahu the hegemony that he wants.

What do you say about Yair Lapid and Noam Shalit entering politics?
Israeli society can be proud that Shelli Yechimovitz was elected to head the Labor party. I think that her worldview is very dangerous, but the fact that she was elected shows that the Israeli public wants leaders who are ideologically motivated; the kind of leaders who believe what they say. On the other hand, the high ratings that Yair Lapid is receiving in the polls are a low point for Israeli society. He is a person who has nothing to say and his popularity expresses society's preference for rating over substance.

And what about Shalit?
Noam Shalit has not given anything to Israeli society. But he has received - a lot! The release of 1,000 terrorists with blood on their hands is something that we have all given Noam Shalit, for we are all liable to pay the price, G-d forbid, for the Shalit deal. Noam Shalit did not give, he only received and his candidacy for the Knesset testifies to counter-values: He who succeeds in receiving more from society is the success story who can bring in votes. This is a disgrace for Shalit and for the Labor party and Shelli Yechimovitz, who took him into their party.

Women in Green's reaction to last night's destruction in Mitzpe
Avihai-Kiryat Arba

At 2:30 in the middle of the night, with 0 degrees celcius outside,
some 20 children were dragged away from their beds together with their
parents and were told: "Jews-OUT!" Immediately thereafter the tractors
ran over and destroyed their homes.

The Mitzpe Avichai neighborhood was built on land that belongs to the
municipality of Kiryat Arba Hevron and was already destroyed ten
times. Every destruction brings about construction, especially in
Mitzpe Avihai, and thank G-d, the neighborhood has already eight
families and public buildings.

Once again the IDF used Arab workers to do the dirty work of expelling
Jews from their homes and, by the way, these Arabs stole jewelry and
work utensils from the expelled Jews.

Women in Green call upon all to donate funds in order to rebuild the
neighborhood. We also call upon the Prime Minister to stop hiding
behind Ehud Barak and finally start building the Land of Israel
proudly. This is the one and only answer to Yair Lapid and Sheli
Yachimovitz.

The government of Israel has to stop the game of jumping once to the
right and once to the left. It does not help at all. Only with a clear
policy of applying Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, the
building of thousands of homes, and the spreading of the population
from the shore to the mountains, will deterrence be built. Only this
way will our country be built.

Who is Manhigut Yehudit and Moshe Feiglin?

Simply Jews
We are simply Jews, with no added definitions. We do not call ourselves Orthodox, Conservative or Reform - neither "right-wing" nor "left-wing." Like the overwhelming majority of Jews, we believe in G-d, Who has brought us back to our Jewish home; the Holy Land of Israel. In Israel, the natural predisposition of the Jewish People to illuminate the world with God's light is brought to perfection, enabling us to perform our task in the most consummate way.

Our aim is to create a genuinely Jewish consciousness in the Land of Israel, motivated by the awareness that our faith and our country are intrinsically woven together. An Israeli society predicated on Jewish faith - the Torah - is an ethical and loving society whose ultimate goal is to illuminate the entire world with God's benevolence.

The Modern State of Israel in Crisis
The Zionist movement, which founded the modern State of Israel, was a product of the millennia of longing for return to the Land of Israel. However, it was also a product of the times in which it was born. Basing itself on secular 19th century Western values, Zionism came to fill the need for a safe haven for the Jews of the world. Miraculously, the Zionist movement succeeded in building the complete infrastructure of a modern state - replete with a strong army, high tech, immigration absorption etc. out of the wilderness.
In its essence, though, the secular Zionism on which Israel was built negates holiness. In doing so, it has stripped itself of the tools necessary to reflect the Jewish nature of Israel and its ultimate holy purpose.

We are now witnessing a complete unraveling of the fabric of Israeli society. The very Zionist ideology that built the modern state of Israel has now turned against itself as it seeks to counter its Biblical roots and Divine purpose. This self-destructive bent is the ultimate conclusion of the secular ideology upon which Zionism is based.

The Essential Question: Is Israel a State of Jews - or a Jewish State?
Until now Israel has been a state of the Jews. It is vital to our future to transform Israel into a Jewish state. Israel's elected officials must lead the country with policies based exclusively on Jewish identity, values and ethics.

An Alternative
In 1994, Moshe Feiglin began the Zo Artzeinu ("This is Our Land") protest movement that opposed the self-destructive Oslo Accords with a massive civil disobedience campaign.
It became clear, though, that it was not enough to protest; we had to offer a fundamental alternative - a new strategic objective - in place of the process of collapse that gave rise to the Oslo Accords. Such an alternative would need to be based on both an alternative ideology that would inspire the nation and possess the means for implementation.

Faith-Based Leadership
There is only one way to truly imbue the State of Israel with the meaning it deserves and needs: to promote an alternative leadership for the State of Israel that is based on Jewish belief. Only leadership motivated by an authentically Jewish vision will be capable of meeting all the challenges currently facing the State of Israel and the Jewish People. Only leadership of this kind will be capable of reinvigorating the State of Israel and the Jewish People and leading it towards the realization of the vision of the prophets.

Leadership of the Likud
In 1998, Manhigut Yehudit (The Jewish Leadership Movement) was established as the successor to Zo Artzeinu. Our aim is to register thousands of believing members in the Likud - the ruling party of the National Camp - and to elect a party leader who will be motivated by Jewish ideals and values. As the Likud's candidate for Prime Minister, this candidate would be the natural leader of the national camp and would be elected as the Prime Minister of the State of Israel.

What began as a dream has become a reality. Already today, Manhigut Yehudit (The Jewish Leadership Movement) has the largest bloc inside the Likud's Central Committee. In a very short time we became known as the group that "does not come with a price tag." Our weapon is our ideology and tens of thousands of supporters have already joined our ranks. Many Israelis throughout the political spectrum believe that we are the future of Israel's political life and the path we have chosen is correct and viable.

Our Future

Thank you, each and every one of you. Thank you for choosing to be part of the faith-based revolution. Thank you very much.

We are all servants of G-d. Not for honor and not for fame – there is nothing but Him.

The Minister of Education told me that schools in North Tel Aviv are requesting to visit the Cave of Machpelah. Would you have believed that two or three years ago?

Israel thirsts for meaning. Israel thirsts for the Judaism of liberty. Slowly but surely, a new consciousness is being created here; Jewish consciousness. A wondrous energy of life and hope is awakening the Nation of Israel as it begins to fulfill its destiny. It could be that this year we will be in a new stage of Jewish history; the stage in which most of the Jewish People are in their Land. We may reach that point for the first time since the First Temple. The only question that remains is when will this wonderful Jewish revolution dovetail with Jewish leadership; leadership that is aware of and committed to Jewish destiny; leadership that will assemble all these desires and give them direction and significance. That is our task – all of us. Nobody will do it instead of us.

That is why I have decided to announce my candidacy for chairmanship of the Likud and leadership of the State of Israel.

The Likud under my leadership will, with G-d's help, consolidate Israel around its Jewish identity and values.

The Likud under my leadership will, with G-d's help, restore the State of Israel to the Nation of Israel. Our state must be a Jewish state in its essence, not only in slogans. It must be a Jewish state in its society. It must be a Jewish state in its security. It must be a Jewish state in its economy and it must be a Jewish state in its justice system. Society, security, economy and justice.

Society in a Jewish state means first of all genuine Jewish education for every child in Israel. Society in a Jewish state means fortifying the status of the family with tax breaks, by enabling mothers to raise their children at home, by allocating a piece of the Land of Israel for free to every Jewish family. Society in a Jewish state means genuine liberty for every Israeli citizen, free and representative media, full human rights for all and political rights only for those who are faithful to the State of Israel as the state of the Jewish Nation.

He who believes does not fear a Jewish society.

Security in a Jewish state means, first of all, clear borders; the basic understanding that this is our Land by virtue of G-d's promise. Security in a Jewish state means declaration of sovereignty over all parts of the Land of Israel that is in our hands and that, by the way, word for word, is in the Likud constitution. Security in a Jewish state means fostering the emigration of all those who are not loyal to Israel as the state of the Jewish nation. Security in a Jewish state means restoring the concept of victory to the IDF. Today this concept has been neutered. It has disappeared from the IDF lexicon. Nobody talks about victory. Restoration of the concept of victory means the elimination of leadership – any leadership – that initiates a conflict with us; that should be noted by the Iranian leadership. Security in a Jewish state means power of deterrence; an offensive approach as a guarantee of peace. That is why, ladies and gentlemen, only someone who believes can bring security. Because he who believes is not afraid.

Jewish economy means first and foremost – liberty: A truly free economy - within the Jewish framework of faith and kindness. Only our Jewish culture has the proper balance that allows a truly free economy – capitalism – without sliding into the jungle that everyone fears. In other words, a free economy within the cultural framework of Jewish faith and kindness. Jewish economy means allocating welfare funds to the community. Only the community can really take care of those in need. Jewish economy means affordable housing for every Jew; first and foremost by allocation of the land to the public.

Justice in the Jewish state means first of all judges from the People and not from the UN. (ed: This is a play on words in Hebrew: am and oom). Justice in the Jewish state means completion of the legislation that would require public hearings for Supreme Court judges. Justice in the Jewish state means a constitution that preserves Israel's Jewish character and a Constitutional Court, elected by the public once in a decade, that will be the ultimate authority on national issues. Justice in the Jewish state means separating the role of the Attorney General from the role of State's Attorney. Justice in the Jewish state means gradual adoption of the Jewish law system.

Ladies and gentlemen, he who believes is not afraid to bring the Nation judges and a justice system that is from the people and not from the UN.

He who believes is not afraid to appoint a defense minister from the Likud!

He who believes is not afraid of Jewish education and the Jewish family!

He who believes is not afraid and does not send soldiers to the Marmara with toy guns, humiliating the IDF.

I did not intend to talk about Jonathan Pollard; I have another few "I believes" here – but I see that the point about Jonathan Pollard evoked a standing ovation from you. I had the merit to visit our brother, my brother, Jonathan Pollard five or six times. Each time we engaged in long discussions. At a certain point I said to him, "You understand that for you to get out of prison, I have to be prime minister." No, it's not funny. And I asked him to do one thing: to pray.

No coercion is good – religious or secular. Today, Israel suffers more from secular coercion than from religious coercion. Unlike the situation in the past, religious soldiers today are forced into combat with women soldiers. Unlike the situation in the past, Israel's citizens today are coerced into witnessing "gay pride" parades and other decadent behavior in their public space. Unlike the situation in the past, the settlers today are forcibly expelled form their homes against the will of the majority of the Nation. Unlike the situation in the past, non-Jewish immigration from Russia is being forced down our throats, with Sudanese immigration thrown in for good measure. The entire Israeli reality has become a platform for the multi-faceted tyranny of the secular minority (approximately 19% of the public) over the traditional/religious/ultra-Orthodox majority.

Just like the unhappy events in Ramat Gilad, the story of Tanya from Ashdod (who was harassed on an ultra-Orthodox bus) was a provocation. It began with coercion, continued with the igniting of an intentional spark, led to stupid behavior by extremists, followed by a mad, false and bigoted media campaign and who knows where it will end? Israel's bus company, Egged, did not want to lose its ultra-Orthodox passengers and offered them their own bus lines in exchange for their agreement not to open their own bus company. That's the whole story. Tanya could have gotten on the two general bus lines from Ashdod to Tel Aviv. But she insisted on traveling on the ultra-Orthodox bus.

Do these provocations justify throwing a rock at an IDF officer? Certainly not. Do they justify an imbecilic ultra-Orthodox man spitting on a small girl whose level of modesty does not conform to his standards? Of course not. Most of the ultra-Orthodox have renounced his behavior.

But the problem here is coercion of all types. And the most significant coercion today in Israeli society is the continuing offensive against anything that smacks of Jewish identity – be it the settling of the Land of Israel, family values (today it is financially worthwhile to divorce and declare oneself a single parent, and many people do this!) or if it is a smear campaign accusing the ultra-Orthodox of discrimination against women.

We would all be well-advised to filter out the media's wailing. The journalists, most of whom represent the junk-culture that takes the prize for humiliating women, have nothing to teach us about respect for women.

Problems in society must be dealt with in a factual manner. Those who discriminate against women or harass them must be punished according to law. But none of that has anything to do with the murky wave of incitement that has been washing over our heads as of late.

The results of the upcoming election for chairmanship of the Likud (to take place on 7 Shvat, 5772 / Jan. 31, '12) will be analyzed by the Likud ministers and MKs with a fine-toothed comb. The reason? These are the same voters who will vote in the Likud primaries before the general elections in Israel.

The intensity of the struggle for Israel's settlements will be determined in large part by the results of the upcoming elections. In other words, these elections are actually the new Likud referendum; just that this time the Land of Israel loyalists will have the opportunity to vote before the withdrawal program is put on the table, not after. A clear result in the upcoming elections will ensure that the entire Likud faction in the Knesset will stand firmly against attempts to destroy the settlements in the future.

This is not the reason why I am running for chairmanship of the Likud. I even ran when the Likud was in the Opposition and had negligible influence over the government. My decision to run is based on the same principles that have guided us since the very beginnings of the Manhigut Yehudit faction in the Likud. Nevertheless, the fact that we have established a faith-based alternative now directly dovetails with our tactical goal to defend the settlements in Judea and Samaria. We see the settlements as the platform for the ideology that must lead and save the entire State of Israel.

The revolution created by Manhigut Yehudit, leading the faith-based public to the national helm - is the beginning of the changing of the guard in the process of the Return to Zion. Many of the Land of Israel loyalists who have recently joined the Likud see their move as strictly tactical; a statement that is meant to increase the pressure on the people making the decisions. It is difficult for them to understand why I insist on running for chairmanship of the Likud.

This race is part of the rung-by-rung climb to the helm of the State of Israel. Each time I run, I win a significantly larger percentage of the votes. Nobody can promise that this will always be the case, but if I hadn't run in 5763 (2003) and won only 3.5% of the vote, I would not have progressed to 13% of the vote in 5766 (2006) and to 23.5% of the vote in 5757 (2007). Every race is another rung in the ladder that leads to leadership of the Likud and the entire State of Israel. With G-d's help, the upcoming race for chairmanship of the Likud will be the last rung on the ladder to leadership of the National Camp. From there, it is only a short way to leadership of the State of Israel.

But even if I will need to climb an additional rung before reaching the goal, every faith-based vote in these elections draws us nearer to leadership. This time it is completely clear that a vote for faith-based leadership strengthens the settlements in a new type of voter referendum – the voter referendum that precedes the catastrophe and with G-d's help, will head it off.

So instead of packing your sleeping bags to go to yet another anti-expulsion demonstration, come to our opening campaign rally on Tuesday, 8 Tevet, (Jan. 3). Bring your friends and family and do all that you can to elect genuine Jewish leadership for Israel.

There we sat, Manhigut Yehudit's Strategy Team, for our first strategy meeting ahead of the primaries. "According to Likud law, primaries for chairmanship of the Likud will be held in about a year," I said, "and we have to prepare now." We spent hours discussing different ideas and assigning tasks and projects. As people began heading for the door, somebody read aloud a headline that had just come through on the internet: Netanyahu Calls for Primaries on Jan. 31. "Very funny," someone laughed. But it wasn't a joke. Our entire meeting had just been rendered irrelevant. We have seven weeks until the primaries. My phone began to ring. Reporters asking my reaction to Bibi's bombshell. "I will run for the head of the Likud no matter when primaries will be held," I declared.

Why run? And why run on such short notice, when Netanyahu obviously has a clear advantage?

The greatest threat hanging over Israel's head – greater than a nuclear Iran – is the loss of our legitimacy to exist as a Jewish state. From our long and difficult history we know that the delegitimization of our right to exist ultimately leads to annihilation.

We have rightfully "earned" the existential question mark hovering over our heads, after years of evasion and blurring of Israel's Jewish identity. Faith-based Jewish leadership that will rally Israeli society around its Jewish identity is nothing less than an existential imperative.

"But you don't have a chance," people say to me. My answer to that is that no revolutionary vision has a chance at the start. But when pursued with determination, the vision always turns out to prove itself well-connected to reality. This means that as long as I do not give up, I am always winning. The Wright Brothers' first successful flight turned all the crashes that preceded it into part of the success story. The principle was right and with their perseverance, they ultimately succeeded. In the previous primaries, I received 25% of the votes. In the primaries before those, I gained more votes than all the other candidates – who were senior government ministers at the time. That would not have happened if I had not dared to run the first time – and receive only 3% of the vote.

Ultimately, the most realistic thing in the world is the fulfillment of G-d's will. The Creator has not guarded the Nation of Israel for the past 3000 years, restoring us to our Land after 2000 years of exile, just to establish another Western, democratic, liberal province on the very piece of land that the "oppressed" "Palestinians" claim as their own.

The Nation of Israel has a national destiny and a universal message to bring to the world from Zion. That is the reality. To continue to exist and flourish, the State of Israel needs Jewish leadership. It needs leadership that understands the Nation's destiny and strives to fulfill it. The question is not if we will win the primaries for leadership of the Likud. The question is when we will win and lead our Nation. We will win, because we are the only candidates on the national leadership arena that are connected to reality!

Israel has every legal and moral right to stage a pre-emptive strike on Iran, renowned legal expert Prof. Alan Dershowitz said in Tel Aviv on Monday. He also wants to hear U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speak out more strongly against Iran.
Speaking at the annual business conference sponsored by Globes, Dershowitz stated that regardless of whether or not it would be wise for Israel to attack, “Israel has the right morally and legally to strike Iran just as it did on [the nuclear facility] in Iraq in 1981. Having the right to attack does not mean that it should do so, but I would defend Israel’s right.”
Despite the “deep and positive” security relationship between the United States and Israel, he fears that there may be a “disconnect” over Iran’s race to produce a nuclear weapon and reach the capability to stage a nuclear attack on Israel.
“Israel doesn’t have the military capacity that America has to destroy Iran’s underground nuclear facilities,” Dershowitz explained, adding that that “United States can wait a longer time and has more of a willingness to tolerate a nuclear Iran.”
He praised Obama for stating he will not tolerate an Iran with nuclear weapons, but added, “I would like to hear that from the Secretary of State [Hillary Clinton]."
Turning to Turkey, Dershowitz lividly criticized Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for demanding an apology from Israel over the flotilla clash between terror activists and the IDF on the high seas in May 2010. “Turkey has never apologized for the genocide in Armenia. Talk about chutzpah? Talking about Turkey demanding an apology from anybody?"
Dershowitz also advised Israel to be more aggressive against countries’ threats to arrest visiting IDF officers and political leaders for alleged war crimes.
Israeli officials should not "duck back into their planes,” admonished Dershowitz. “That is not the way great nations behave,” he continued. He advised officers and politicians to "hold their heads high" and challenge countries’ authority to put them on trial.
Dershowitz vowed if they are arrested, he would ”put together the greatest legal team ever assembled.”
He added that Israel’s record is better than that of Turkey and NATO and others when it comes to the ratio of civilians to terrorists who are killed in warfare. Deshowitz declared that "the double standard against Israel." whereby countries are far more guilty of the same charges made against Israel, represents "the depths of international law and the hijacking by the left."

Who really built the fence?
The recent stabbing of a teenager in the northern Jerusalem suburb of Ramot, apparently by a resident of Beit Iksa, hit me hard. I lived in Ramot for 23 years, 16 of them directly across the wadi from Beit Iksa. All during the intifada when buses were blowing up all over the country, the men of Beit Iksa walked across the wadi and up the steps next to my house to work as laborers, without incident. Often, they passed me by in groups, watching as I tended my fruit trees and grape vines. Sometimes I even offered them fruit, which they smilingly declined or accepted. The sound of their muezzin and darbuka (drums) filled my home. I accepted it as part of the experience of living in this beautiful spot with its rolling hills and apple orchards. In fact, during the euphoria of the Oslo Accords, I even sometimes imagined walking across the wadi to visit and inviting some of them to my home.
I was rudely awakened by the Palestinian Authority election results in Beit Iksa, where Hamas won a resounding victory. Tangible changes soon followed: powerful new loudspeakers aimed at Ramot brutally blasted the singsong call to prayer like a weapon. Home robberies, always a nuisance, steadily grew worse. One night, robbers invaded my home as my son and his wife were sleeping downstairs. The next morning, among other losses, we found two large kitchen knives missing. On another occasion, I watched in disbelief as in the middle of the night a dozen or so men leaped out of the house next door and down into the wadi before police could arrive. My neighbor, who had been away, arrived to find they’d not only stolen everything not nailed down, but also urinated on her bed for spite.
While the police dutifully came and investigated, they admitted helplessness. Under the Oslo Accords, Beit Iksa was governed by the Palestinian Authority. Only the IDF could go in there. And for that to happen, someone would have to do more than steal a computer.
Nevertheless, most of us with homes adjacent to the wadi were adamantly opposed to a security wall between Ramot and Beit Iksa, reluctant to turn our lovely, rural backyard and heavenly view into an ugly border. So instead we put in alarm systems, which regularly went off.
All that changed on October 22, a sleepy Sabbath afternoon, when Zaid Abd al-Rahman, a 20-year-old enrolled in Al Quds University, allegedly took the 10-minute walk through the wadi, entering Ramot with a sixinch knife and attacking the first person he saw, 17-year-old Yehuda Ne’emad, son of the local grocery owner. Viciously, al-Rahman stabbed Yehuda twice in the back and twice in the stomach, doing his best to kill him. As his victim lay in a pool of blood, al-Rahman turned his attention to a twelve-year old girl and her six year-old brother. “I was sure I was going to die,” she later said. “I took my brother’s hand and I ran.”
As a crowd gathered, Rahman, who apparently wasn’t interested at that moment in martyrdom, ran back down the wadi.
Echoing a popular sentiment, Meir Indor of the Almagor Terror Victims Association connected the crime to the ransom paid four days previously to free Gilad Schalit: “The publicity surrounding the deal turned murderers into culture heroes on the Arab and Palestinian street… All this encourages Arab youths to try impersonating the released prisoners, because they know, just as we know, that if they are caught they will be released sooner or later.”
Ah, if it were only that simple! If one could go to sleep a peaceful student and wake up a blood-thirsty killer because of a single act of government policy! The truth is far more disturbing.
Beit Iksa, six kilometers northwest of Jerusalem, has 1,600 inhabitants and two primary schools. Both are operated by the Palestinian Authority. A 2009-10 report by Arnon Groiss of Impact-Se, the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Curriculum describes the school books Rahman would have been exposed to as delegitimizing Jews and Israel, denying their historical and religious presence and ascribing to them dubious and nefarious characteristics, as well as assigning full blame to them for the Middle East conflict and stressing the ideal of violent struggle for liberation over peaceful negotiation.
After school, Rahman would have been exposed to Al Aqsa Television children’s programs, like this one: “What do you want to do to the Jews who shot your father?” says the cuddly bear.
“I want to kill them,” a child’s voice pipes up.
“We don’t want to do anything to them,” a little girl shakes her head at the bear. “Just to expel them from our land.”
“But if we slaughter them, they’ll be expelled,” the bear cheerfully corrects her.
“Yes, that’s right,” she agrees.

Graduating from this kind of education, Rahman enrolled in Al Quds University, with its Abu Jihad Museum, honoring the master terrorist who engineered the Coastal Road Massacre. In 2007, Al Quds held a week-long celebration honoring Yahya Ayyash, the notorious Hamas “engineer credited for numerous deadly attacks and for inventing the suicide belt.”
On March 11, 2011, Al Quds (which has joint programs with Brandeis, by the way) held a celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the death of Dalal Mughrabi, a despicable Lebanese woman who landed on Israel’s coast in a dinghy with a dozen other terrorists, killing nature photographer Gail Rubin and then hijacking a passenger bus which she blew up with a grenade, killing 38 Israelis – thirteen of them children.
“Now we go to a glorious chapter in Palestinian history… ” the Palestinian television announcer says, introducing Mughrabi’s sister, who says: “This is a day of glory and pride for the Palestinian people and a blow to the Zionists. She [Mughrabi] left a note to our father saying to point all rifles at Zionists, so if you haven’t yet…”
The release of terrorist murderers was a bad idea for many reasons. But while it might have emboldened him, it didn’t put the idea of killing Jews into Zaid Abd al-Rahman’s head. For that, it took a village. If the West is ever really sincere about tackling the problem of peace in our area, the first sign will be the halting of all funding and cultural exchanges with the likes of Al Quds “University.” It will be the attention paid to reversing the damage done by years of toxic PA and Hamas brainwashing, the kind that turn young people into monsters.
When the security fence goes up between Ramot and Beit Iksa, as it inevitably will now, we are sure Palestinian apologists, and Al Quds University and its television broadcasting system in particular, will vent its fury at further evidences of Israeli “apartheid.”
But we should all know better who really built this fence.

Israel is the Only Option

Abraham is already old and has lived out most of his days. Yitzchak is the only link in the chain that will forge ahead with his world-wide faith revolution. Under the circumstances, it would seem that for a good wife from a distinguished family - it would be worthwhile to leave Israel for a few years.

But Abraham says an emphatic "no". "Just do not return my son to there."

Abraham understands something that we have forgotten. A sizeable portion of Israel's citizens hold foreign citizenship in addition to their Israeli ID cards. Former Speaker of the Knesset and Chairman of the Jewish Agency Avrum Burg proudly waves his French citizenship for all to see, explaining why he publicly did what other Israeli leaders have done quietly: For them, the Land of Israel is an option - not a final destination. If things are not working out here as planned, thank you very much and goodbye. Look for us in Europe or the US.

But the Land of Israel is not merely a privilege. It is not optional. There is simply no other place for a Jew. The Exile is finished and we are rapidly progressing to a time when the majority of Jews will live in Israel.

Lamentably, many Jews still retain their exile mentality. The wandering Jew is alive and well in the worldview of Israel's leaders and the stratum of Israeli society that believes that it can arrange itself a more comfortable option, if need be.

If Israel's leaders would assert that for the Jews, Israel is the only option, nobody in the UN would dare question the necessity of a Jewish State in the world and the Iranian tyrant would not dare threaten our existence. He would understand that when a country with nuclear capabilities faces an existential threat and has its back to the wall, it will make use of its weapons. But "existential threat" is not in the lexicon of Israel's leadership and part of its citizenry. Worse comes to worse, they can always hop the first plane to Europe, Canada or the USA.

The world clearly senses that we have not internalized the fact that the Land of Israel is our final destination; the last, blessed stop on our 2000 year journey. But the moment when every Jew will have to make the fateful choice is rapidly approaching.

The destruction of Jewish homes in the Land of Israel continues, as if there is no way to prevent the State of Israel from self-destructing; no way to prevent it from sending the riot police to carry out the goals of Peace Now.

But to judge by the amount of people who showed up at last week's prayer gathering at Giv'at Asaf, another settlement slated for demolition, it looks like the faith- based public has despaired of its ability to stop the destruction. The common excuse is that people are tired of demonstrations or that they have lost faith in their effectiveness, but that is not correct. The public is willing to rally around ideals and vision. It is simply tired of a rearguard war.

The process of collapse and destruction that we have witnessed over the years is not the trademark of any particular government. Actually, every government that has been in power in Israel in the last generation, from both Right and Left, has been dragged in one way or another into the same modus operandi. The disintegration stems from the fact that Israelis today feel morally inferior to the Arabs.

The era in which the legitimacy for our presence in this Land could be drawn from an ideology that denies the existence of the Creator is finished. The elites that fashion the Israeli mindset no longer believe that this is our Land. They feel like uninvited guests here; they worship the "deep bond" between the Arab and the Land and are painfully careful not to "desecrate" it. Whether an Arab home is legal or illegal, its destruction is unthinkable. Even the Arab olive harvest has become a sanctified ritual and guarding it the supreme mission of the IDF. It makes no difference that the olive trees are in the settlement of Itamar, right under the home of the Fogel orphans. It also makes no difference that the harvesters are part of the murderers' family, whose smiles mock the Jewish residents of the town still reeling from the horrific massacre.

All of Israel's leaders of the past generation represent the mentality that prefers to buy temporary legitimacy in Tel Aviv by dividing the Land of Israel. That is why the terrorists are jailed in such comfortable conditions. After all, they are actually freedom fighters, recognized by the Israeli mindset as the just side in the struggle over the Land. That is why it is simply a matter of time until they are released.

So now what do we do?

Lately, a lot of people have been invoking the memory of 'Zo Artzeinu,' the successful protest movement from the Oslo era that eventually evolved into Manhigut Yehudit.

What was Zo Artzeinu's secret? How is it that under the direction of a small and largely unknown movement, tens of thousands of Israelis went out to protest in the streets and were willing to be arrested?

A lot of factors came together to bring the people out in the streets. There was leadership, independence of the 'establishment' and more. But the real, underlying reason that everybody remembers Zo Artzeinu is very simple: Its name means "This is our Land."

Sixteen years ago, the Israeli mindset was already sick with the moral inferiority flu. The audacity to declare that "This is our Land" was engraved on its intimidated consciousness and has remained there ever since.

The Land of Israel is ours. Not because a particular settlement was built on public land and not private land. Simply because G-d gave it to us. Whoever tries to live side-by-side with the Israeli mindset that sees this country as Arab land will always find himself on the wrong side of the law. But if our actions are guided by the conviction that this is our Land, we will always be right.

More danerous than a nuclear bomb - Moshe Feiglin

Is Israel preparing to attack Iran? According to media reports, Netanyahu is trying to convince his ministers to go on the offensive. If that is true, Netanyahu will go down in history as the prime minister who saved the State of Israel from destruction – not necessarily nuclear.

There is no doubt that an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities will bring swift retaliation on Israel, the results of which are unforeseeable. On the surface, as long as there is a chance to neutralize Iran's nuclear capabilities via other methods; diplomatic, electronic, economic and the like, it is not logical to prefer the military option. Presumably, the ministers who oppose the attack are considering the question through this very keyhole: Can we stop Iran in some other way or is the military option the only route available?

Clearly, the non-military options are like a finger in the dike. As long as the Moslem motivation continues to rise on the other side of the wall, it is just a matter of time until the dike breaks. Further, as time goes by, the mission becomes more difficult and complex. The reactor in Bushehr is already "hot." Until about two years ago, it could have been destroyed without much environmental damage. That is no longer the case.

The difference between now and two years ago is that Netanyahu's public approval rating is better now than it was then. And when it comes to a prime minister from the Right, a political window of opportunity is just as necessary as an operational window of opportunity. If the social protest movement had managed to curtail Netanyahu's popularity, there may not have been any government deliberations about attacking Iran. If we are in a political and operational window of opportunity right now, we must give the Prime Minister all the support that he needs on this existential issue.

Considering the attack strictly through the keyhole of cost and gain does not portray a true picture of the dismal reality. Nuclear weapons are not the greatest danger to the existence of the State of Israel. One third of our Nation was destroyed in Europe without them. The Germans' main weapon was the de-legitimization of our right to exist. Strategically, de-legitimization is much more dangerous than any nuclear weapon, for its practical application is only a matter of time – with or without nuclear capabilities.

When the Iranian leader declared his intent to destroy us, the world stood collectively held its breath in anticipation of Israel's retaliation. When that did not happen, the historical question mark that hangs over the right of the Jews to breathe the air on this planet reappeared.

Whether the Jews have a right to a state or whether they have a right to exist at all was not asked in important Western universities until the world realized that we are willing to live with Iran's intention to destroy us. The Iranian Amalek and the German Amalek work the same way as the Biblical Amalek. They declare an existential war against us, are willing to pay a price and negate our legitimacy in the eyes of the nations. The Holocaust did not begin with the outbreak of war but rather, in Hitler's hate-filled speeches and in the Der Sturmer propaganda.

The ministers who oppose an attack do not understand that the results of the attack are not what matters. Israel must attack Iran in order to restore the legitimacy for its very existence. The only way to defeat those who deny our rights to our land, our nationhood and our history is to expose their corruption, and their hateful intentions towards the Jewish people.

You have to hand it to the Palestinians.

They decided to abandon the peace process and seek international recognition of the “State of Palestine” – a state in a de facto state of war with Israel. And they are pursuing their goal relentlessly.

This week their efforts bore their first fruit with the UN’s Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) vote to accept “Palestine” as a full state member.

It is not a coincidence that the PLO/PA decided to apply for membership for “Palestine” at UNESCO first. Since 1974, UNESCO has been an enthusiastic partner in the Palestinians’ bid to erase Jewish history, heritage and culture in the Land of Israel from the historical record.

In 1974, UNESCO voted to boycott Israel and to “withhold assistance from Israel in the fields of education, science and culture because of Israel’s persistent alteration of historic features in Jerusalem.”

UNESCO’s moves to deny Jewish ties to Jerusalem and the rest of historic Israel have continued unabated ever since. For instance, in 1989, UNESCO condemned “Israel’s occupation of Jerusalem,” claiming it was destroying the city through “acts of interference, destruction and transformation.”

In 1996, UNESCO held a symposium on Jerusalem at its Paris headquarters. No Jewish or Israeli groups were invited to participate.

Beginning in 1996, the Arab Wakf on the Temple Mount began systematically destroying artifacts of the Second Temple. The destruction was undertaken during illegal excavations under the Temple Mount carried out to construct an illegal, unlicensed mosque at Solomon’s Stables.

UNESCO never bothered to condemn this act. It was silent despite the fact that the Wakf’s actions constituted a grave breach of the very international laws related to antiquities and sacred sites that UNESCO is charter bound to protect. Similarly, UNESCO never condemned Palestinian desecration of Rachel’s Tomb, of Joesph’s Tomb or of any of the ancient synagogues in Gaza and Jericho which they razed to the ground.

The reason for UNESCO’s miscarriage of its responsibilities is clear. Far from fulfilling its mission of protecting world heritage sites, since 1974 UNESCO has been a partner in one of the greatest cultural crimes in human history – the Palestinian and pan- Arab attempt to wipe Jewish history in the Land of Israel off the historical record. And UNESCO’s crimes in this area are unending. In 2009 it designated Jerusalem a “capital of Arab culture.”

In 2010, it designated Rachel’s Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron as “Muslim mosques.” UNESCO’s campaign against Jewish history is not limited to Israel. In 1995, it passed a resolution marking the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II. Despite requests from Israel, the resolution made no mention of the Holocaust.

In December 2010, UNESCO published a report on the history of science in the Arab world. Its report listed the great Jewish doctor and rabbinic scholar Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon – Maimonides – as a Muslim renamed “Moussa ben Maimoun.”

In light of UNESCO’s virulently anti-Jewish policies and actions, it is not surprising that it cooperated with the PLO/PA’s bid to achieve recognition of a state that is in a state of war with Israel.

MORE SURPRISING than UNESCO’s behavior was the behavior of all but five EU member states.

Aside from the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Sweden, all EU member states either voted in favor of the Palestinian membership application or abstained.

The reason it is surprising is because the EU has made strengthening UN institutions and speeding up the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians to facilitate Palestinian independence the central aims of its foreign policy. And by supporting or failing to oppose the Palestinian membership bid, the Europeans undercut both aims.

UNESCO was weakened by the vote for two reasons. First, since US law bars the government from funding UN agencies that accept “Palestine” as a member nation outside the framework of a negotiated peace with Israel, in accepting “Palestine” UNESCO reduced its budget by the 22 percent covered by US contributions.

Second, by accepting the Palestinians as a member state, UNESCO undermined its legitimacy and organizational viability. Accepting “Palestine” represents a breach of the organization’s charter. The charter stipulates that only states can be accepted as members.

Moreover, it represents a repudiation of the goals of UNESCO as laid out in its charter. Those goals involve among other things promoting cooperation in education and advancing the rule of law. As a recent report by the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-SE) showed, PA textbooks remain imbued with Jew-hatred at all education levels.

By enabling this breach of the UNESCO charter, the Europeans made a mockery of UN rules and so weakened not just UNESCO but the UN system as a whole.

The Europeans’ claim to support the cause of peace between Israel and the Palestinians was rendered hollow by their behavior at UNESCO. The peace process between Israel and the PLO/PA is predicated on the latter’s commitment that a Palestinian state can arise only as a consequence of a peace treaty with Israel. By supporting the Palestinians’ breach of this fundamental commitment at UNESCO, the Europeans diminished the possibility of achieving a negotiated peace that will lead to Palestinian statehood.

What the Europeans’ behavior at UNESCO indicates is that just as UNESCO is willing to undermine its mission to harm Israel, so the Europeans are willing to undermine the declared goals of their foreign policy if doing so will harm Israel.

This state of affairs has important consequences for Israel. To date, Israel has placed fostering good relations with EU member states high on its list of priorities. In light of the Europeans’ behavior at UNESCO, this ranking should be revised. The Europeans do not merit such high consideration by Israel.

Finally, the UNESCO vote exposed disturbing truths about US President Barack Obama’s position on Israel. Obama has been widely praised by American Jewish leaders as well as by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for his announced commitment to veto the draft Security Council resolution recommending that the PLO/PA be granted full state membership at the UN. Obama’s pledge – forced out of him by massive congressional pressure – is touted as proof of his commitment to the US alliance with Israel.

But Obama’s response to the PLO/PA’s bid for UNESCO membership tells a different story. In the lead up to the vote, the Obama administration went out of its way not to threaten UNESCO. It did not threaten to withdraw the US from the organization. Instead, just days before the vote, US Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter addressed the body and praised the “great things [that] have happened at UNESCO,” over the past year. Kanter then announced the US’s bid for reelection to UNESCO’s executive board.

The administration did not attack the move as one that undermines chances of peace. It did not note that by endorsing the PA/PLO’s decision to act unilaterally, UNESCO was making it all the more difficult for Israel and the Palestinians to achieve a negotiated peace deal. Rather, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland sufficed with claiming that the move was “regrettable,” and “premature.”

Administration officials did not make clear that in accordance with US law, all US funding to UNESCO would end if the Palestinian membership bid was approved. Rather administration officials joined forces with UN officials to lobby Congress to change the law.

As Claudia Rosett reported in Forbes on Tuesday, David Killion, the US ambassador to UNESCO, made what bordered on an apology for the US funding cut-off when he said, “We sincerely regret that the strenuous and well-intentioned efforts of many delegations to avoid this result fell short.”

Killion added, “We pledge to continue our efforts to find ways to support and strengthen the important work of this vital organization.”

So after UNESCO thumbed its nose at the US, undermined its mission, breached its own charter and seriously diminished chances of Palestinian peace with Israel by accepting “Palestine” as a member state, the Obama administration reacted with near groveling apologetics.

TO UNDERSTAND the full significance of the administration’s behavior, it is important to contrast it with the administration’s response to the Israeli government’s decision in the aftermath of the UNESCO vote to approve the construction of housing for Jews in Jerusalem, Ma’aleh Adumim and Efrat. All of the housing units will be built in areas that will remain part of Israel even after a peace deal. And the administration knows this.

But speaking of the government’s decision, a US official told Reuters that the administration is “deeply disappointed by the announcement.

“We continue to make clear to the [Israeli] government [that] unilateral actions such as these work against efforts to resume direct negotiations and do not advance the goal of a reasonable and necessary agreement between the parties.”

So on the one hand, the Palestinians’ move to abandon the peace process and UNESCO’s support for their move is merely “regrettable” and “premature.” But on the other hand, Israel’s decision not to discriminate against Jewish property rights undermines efforts to resume peace talks and harm prospects for an agreement.

Since entering office, Netanyahu has repeatedly characterized Arab and leftist efforts to delegitimize Israel as “a strategic threat” to the state. In truth, he overstates the danger. Delegitimization is a political threat, not a strategic threat. Israel will not be destroyed by the UN or by professors at Oxford and Columbia or by trade unions in Norway.

But still it is a threat that Israel cannot ignore.

Since September 2009, citing the need to demonstrate the dishonesty of the delegitimizers’ accusations against Israel, Netanyahu abandoned his lifelong opposition to a Palestinian state. He believed that Israel had to embrace the PLO/PA as a legitimate partner for peace in order to prove to the likes of Obama and his supporters that Israel has a right to exist. In the meantime, and in the face of Netanyahu’s staggering concession, the PLO/PA abandoned the peace talks and escalated its political war to criminalize Israel and delegitimate it.

UNESCO’s acceptance of “Palestine” demonstrates that Netanyahu’s chosen policy is misguided.

By accepting the legitimacy of the Palestinian demand for statehood, Netanyahu indirectly conceded Israel’s rights to Judea and Samaria and at a minimum placed its right to sole sovereignty over Jerusalem in question. In so doing, Israel gave the Palestinians’ supporters at the UN, in Europe and at the White House no reason to reconsider their anti-Israel bias.

With the Palestinians relentlessly asserting their rights, and Israel conceding its rights, why should anyone side with Israel?

In the end, the only way to defeat those who delegitimize Israel and deny our rights to our land, our nationhood and our history is to expose their corruption, and their malevolent, dishonest and hateful intentions towards the Jewish people and the Jewish state. That is, the only way to defeat the delegitimizers is to delegitimize them by proudly and consistently asserting Israel’s historic and legal rights and the justice of our cause.

The Orthodox criticism of Reform Judaism is misplaced.
Honestly, the Reform “rabbis” can be accused of a single thing, atheism.
They mold Judaism in their own image to suit their preconceived political and social views—and they don’t believe that there is God above to punish them for the perversion. The God of punishment and revenge, they don’t believe in him. Perhaps they believe in a Santa Claus who forgives them for the lack of faith.

But Orthodox rabbis are in no position to criticize the reforms. The pharisaic rabbis instituted major changes in Judaism, compared to which the Reform’s reforms pale.

Let us not argue here about the Oral Law, which is apparently unknown to the Temple priests. Even if Mishna is of divine origin, transmitted orally through centuries, the Gemara is unquestionably a product of learned discourse, and the subsequent halacha is a heap of man-made restrictions. Maybe one in a thousand of the Orthodox halachic rules is directly traceable to the Oral Law.

Orthodox Judaism abrogated the central pillar of our religion, sacrifices.
The rabbis deliberately viewed them as insignificant because the Pharisees lacked access to the Temple where the Zadducean priests officiated. Unable to officiate the sacrifice, the rabbis denigrated them. Contrary to the facts, they also denigrated the priests, proclaiming them Hashmoneans, the descendants of Maccabees rather than the priestly family of Zadok. Never mind that the Maccabees were of Zadokite descent. If the high priests’ descent could be questionable, the clergy was doubtlessly kohanim.
The rabbinical skepticism won incidentally when the Temple was destroyed. Before then, they were popular as any anti-establishment clergy, but far from dominant. The Temple’s destruction left the Zadducean priests without business and income, and the Pharisaic rabbis triumphed. In subsequent centuries, they shaped a Temple-less Judaism. On one hand, they preserved Judaism in some form. On the other hand, they quenched Jewish demands for rebuilding the Temple. As Emperor Julian’s example demonstrates, the Jews could have rebuilt the Temple if they were persistent enough.

Given good relations with our Muslim occupiers, we could plausibly have built a Temple long ago. That, however, would have spelled the end of rabbinism. When the Temple stands, synagogues—the extraneous houses of worship—will unquestionably be banned, and scores of rabbis will be unemployed. Jewish donations would flow to the Temple rather than to the yeshivas. The priests would take the rabbis’ halachic jurisdiction. Most rabbis, therefore, oppose the Temple construction much more forcefully than any Arab.
But look, we can strike a middle ground between the Torah and the rabbis. For a long time, Jews brought sacrifices without a Temple. Even when the Tabernacle stood, Jews sacrificed in the open, as Samson’s father did habitually at a stranger’s suggestion. The rabbis’ appeal to Hosea’s statement, “I desired zealousness and not an offering,” is mistaken: the “offering” refers to unauthorized sacrifices on mountaintop altars (Hosea 4:13) rather than proper sacrifices. A prophetic pronouncement cannot justify abrogation of the clear law on sacrifices; note that the Temple priests rejected the prophecies altogether, regarding them as folk tales. The rabbinical position was never wholehearted, as they symbolically interpret the Shabbat table as an altar of offerings. If God does not desire sacrifices, certainly much less he desires gefilte fish.
What’s the big deal about sacrifices? They stop leftism like nothing else. Sacrifices run against the basis of leftist ideology—reforming societies, ostensibly for the better. Returning to the ancient practice of sacrifices, unquestioning and savage, is the best barrier to liberal views. And the liberals are not so liberal: they resent sacrifices but love steaks. They kill animals for food; we would kill for a better reason—and eat the cake, too. Sacrifices develop a different kind of person: the priest who smears his fingers and ears with sacrificial blood is not your typical leader, but a cruel and relatively fearless Jew.

It is a small step from sacrificing the animals to killing our enemies, which is a commandment, too.

The massive tumble of the great financial Wall Street on the week of Sukkot was such a clear clarion call and such a glaring object of warning, that only the people of whom the Prophet (Isaiah 42:19) said, “Who is blind but My servant, or deaf my messenger,” could neither hear, nor see, nor understand it. As the Wall Street came tumbling down, sending all the investors – including the newly rich in Flatbush, Staten Island, Monsey and Teaneck – fleeing from the tax shelter; and as three Texas banks collapsed in one week, and as the dollar continued its spectacular plunge; and as the United States trade deficit continued its stupendous gallop; and as more and more U.S. jobs were permanently lost to the Third and Fourth and twelfth Worlds; and as personal debt in the U.S. climbed over the five trillion mark and tens of millions sand deeper into a quicksand of debt that they can never escape – the Jew saw nothing.

He neither saw nor understood; he did not wish to see or understand that the American Exile he so confidently claimed “different” and the American fleshpot (Chinese? Glatt?) he knew would never lose its succulence and the new Jerusalem which he had made into a gigantic “Mikdash m’at” was collapsing. As it must. As the All Mighty decrees. The same All Mighty who too many of His dutiful worshippers really take to be a jolly sort of relic to whom one prays three times daily as to keep Him satisfied so that He gives us a good Galut. A solid Wall Street.

The Exile can never be anything but a punishment and a curse for us, and for those who “despised the beloved land” (Psalms 106:24), the wall will come tumbling down, taking all the Jewish humpty dumpties with it.

And that is the ironic truth. The Exile of America that is so symbolized by a Wall Street is, indeed looked upon as a wall of permanent strength and tranquility by the Jew – including, G-d help us, the practitioner of Jewish ritual, that irreligious Jew who goes under the title “Orthodox.” And Israel, on the other hand, is seen as the Sukkah it really is: In Judah is G-d known . . . in Shalem [Jerusalem] is set His Sukkah, and His dwelling place is in Zion” (Psalms 76:2-3). But it is seen as a Sukkah in the worst sense - a weak, temporary, shaky structure, threatened by evil winds that can topple it. And so they choose the Wall – the gentilized wall of Galut. Foolish Jews. Faithless Jews. No wall of Exile can ever survive for the Jew. For him there are, in the end, only ghetto walls, walls of Warsaws. The Galut was made as a punishment, not a place of comfort and stocks and bonds and shares and futures. There are no Jewish futures in the Exile.

It is walls of Galut that come tumbling down. It is the Sukkah of Zion that can never be destroyed. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape” (Joel 3:5). Jew, come home. That is the ultimate lesion of the Wall Street.

Many times I have spoken of the Talmudic parable of the king, his servant, and the fish. Never was it more apt. [Events of today between Bibi and Obama.]

Once there was a king who sent his servant to buy a fish. The servant returned with a fish that stank. In fury the king gave the servant a choice of three punishments: “Eat the fish, get whipped for the fish, or pay for the fish.” In common with most people, the servant chose not to reach into his pocket and he decided to eat the stinking fish but after two bites the stench made him give up and he decided to get whipped for it. The pain of the lashes, however, made him stop that, too, and he cried out, “I will pay for the fish!”

And so the fool ate the fish, got whipped for the fish and, in the end, had to pay for it, anyhow. Those in Israel and without, who refuse to understand that nothing will deter America from demanding that Israel make the maximum concessions, play the same fool. Those who do not understand that there is nothing that Israel can possible do, that there are no compromises it can make, that there is nothing short of full retreat to the 1967 borders that will satisfy the United States-are the same fools as the servant who ate, got whipped and in the end had to pay anyhow,

Their refusal to make the difficult choice of telling the Americans “no”, now, at this moment, will see them making the retreats they hope will avert American anger; it will see this effort fail even as the frontier moves from its present lines within the Arab heartland to new ones close to the Jewish cities; and most important, the Americans will make the same demands they always have envisioned since the days of the Roger Plan-total Israeli withdrawal. And since this is a thing that not even the most dovish of Israelis will agree to, the result will be an ultimate Israeli firm “no”, an ultimate American anger of the kind all men of “new initiative” propose to avert today by compromise, and exactly the same conditions of confrontation that would come anyhow if the Israelis said their “no” today. There would be one great difference, however, a “no” today will bring the crisis while Israel stands poised near the Arab capitols. A “no” tomorrow, after all the hapless and confused compromises and “initiatives,” will bring the same crisis near Tel Aviv, Beersheva and Netanya.

This is what happens when foolish and confused Israelis, by refusing to pay the price of saying “no” to the stinking fish of pressure, attempt to eat it, submit to getting beaten over it and then learn to their dismay that there is no escape from the difficult decision that they should have made in the first place.

Let the Israeli government, its men of “new initiative” and the Jewish leaders in America understand several basic axioms:

1) America is committed to the Roger Plan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_Plan)and the world’s interpretation of Security Council Resolution 242, i.e. Israeli withdrawal from all (but insignificant) parts of the lands of 1967. This includes the Golan Heights, Gaza, the entire West bank and the entire Sinai as well as changing Jerusalem’s present Jewish sovereignty status.

2) American interests lie, in the minds of most officials in Washington, with

Arab oil, the huge potential Arab market and with supplanting Soviet influence with American. This means, at best, an “even-handed” policy rather than a pro-Israeli one.

3) America is moving steadily to recognition of the “Palestinians” as a people

and of whomever they decide to have as their leaders. Those leaders are clearly the PLO and already the move to “moderate” the PLO, “public-relations-wise” is underway so that Washington can more easily pressure Israel into recognizing them.

4) The Ford-Kissinger administration is determined to prevent stagnation and

will pressure Israel into concession after concession.

5) No administration will go to war for Israel and no administration will continue the present aid level no matter what Israel does or concedes. The frantic search for human allies will end as unsuccessfully as those Jews in the past who forgot what faith in the Jewish G-d was and who turned to Egypt or Assyria or other “allies” for help, only to learn to their dismay that the allies betrayed them.

Stinking fish are not made to be eaten or to get whipped or. One must have the courage to look at the truth and pay the bitter price of honesty. America is tired of the Israeli nuisance and wishes it would ea t the fish already. The time to loudly proclaim “no” is now.

THE 20th ANNIVERSARY OF THE OLSO CATASTROPHE by Barry Chamish

      As I stood at the Yom Kippur service, it hit me. This upcoming year is the 20th anniversary of the Oslo negotiations. Twenty years ago I and my neighbor in Bet Shemesh, Joel Bainerman both signed book contracts and began intense research which led in the spring of '92 to my book, The Fall Of Israel (Canongate Publishers) and to Joel's, Crimes Of The President (SPI Books). The highlight of Joel's research was Iran-Contra and with his permission, his findings found their way prominently into my book. Neither of us initially realized that we had exposed the ugly criminality that led to the Oslo sellout of Israel.
    Summarizing Joel's findings; In 1984-5 navy clerk Jonathan Pollard sent reams of stolen documents to Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres. One especially caught his eye. He discovered an arms ship on the way from Greece to Lebanon to buy the release of American hostages. Peres quickly assembled his version of a dream team; Al Schwimmer, David Kimche and Ofir Nimrodi and in September of '85 sent them to Washington to blackmail the Reagan/Bush administration into expanding the one-time arms for hostages operation in Lebanon to a full blown scam to free the 52 American hostages held by Iran. Peres would get his cut by supplying the weapons from Israel.
   Soon into the illegal operation, Peres' men were exposed and they resigned from their posts. Undaunted, Peres hired one Amiram Nir to replace all three and he worked with Oliver North to exploit the Iranians. When North was subpoenaed to testify in what became a congressional trial, Nir was similarly called to Washington. Nir was preparing to spill the beans, which should have seen the careers of George Bush and Peres end in long prison terms. However, luckily for both of them, just prior to his planned departure to testify, Nir was the sole casualty of a Cessna crash in Mexico.
    Joel's research proved that Nir met Bush at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem and warned him that the operation would have no peaceful consequences. "We are dealing with the most radical elements," he said. Bush lied to the congressional committee, claiming he "didn't recall a thing," about his meeting with Nir. And Nir never survived to remind him about what he claimed to have forgotten. Joel was such a powerful investigator that he uncovered the names of the 6 passengers on NIr's fatal crash and even tracked one, the femme fatale it appears, to her home in Ontario.
     Nir's murder saved Bush, but he got his revenge. On September 17, 1992, at Kennebunkport, Maine, President Bush ordered the new Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin to begin negotiating with PLO. The Oslo negotiations began in secret that November. And with them, the beginning of the end of Israel was initiated.
    Now look at the timing: In September, 1992, Joel and I agreed to pool our talents into a monthly newsletter called Inside Israel. Our first issue was released in November, '92. We were investigating the real Oslo hoax "peace" from the get go. How did we get our sources? Do the names Shishi, Monitin, Vreyma, Haolam Hazeh, Hadashot or Davar mean anything anymore? These were real investigatory newspapers and magazines and we read them all, isolated the most significant articles and called the journalists. Post-Oslo, these publications were closed on various pretexts. Israel's press is no longer free.
    Without Haolam Hazeh, we would never have discovered that Israel kidnapped thousands of, mostly Yemenite, babies during the 50s. We gave the story its sadistic twist by disproving the establishment myth that the babies were adopted by childless Jewish couples and were better off for it. Our interviews led us to conclude that most of the babies died in
agony as part of radiation experiments in America.
    Without Shishi, we would have never suspected that Shimon Peres offered the Vatican to take over Jerusalem as its new governors as part of the secret clauses of Oslo.
    Without Chadashot's Arab Affairs reporter Yehoshua Meiri, we would never have known that the elections that brought in Rabin and Labor were rigged with the Labor Party cutting a deal with Arafat to order Israeli Arabs to vote for Labor or its left-wing ally Meretz. In return, the new government would reward Arafat with a state of his own. The number of Arab Knesset members dropped from 17 to 4. The number of seats for Labor and Meretz rose proportionally.
    I admit, I had a personal beef with the government over Oslo. Ten years before, my brigade fought in Lebanon to rid the place of the PLO. Three of my brigade died, including my friend Tzvi Wolfe. The PLO were removed from Lebanon, and terror was now under control. WHY would any Jew reverse the sacrifices and bring the terrorists back? The answer was provided by Joel's and my friend, Rabbi Marvin Antelman. He provided me with his book, To Eliminate The Opiate whose thesis is the founding fathers of Israel believe in the anti-Jewish teachings of Shabtai Tzvi and Jacob Frank. Marvin called me weekly for years and we exchanged perspectives. And it took years for me to understand, that no matter how unbelievable it sounds, Marvin's answer was the only one that could make sense.
    Inside Israel had its last hurrah in March, '97 when The National Review published a long piece by Joel and me called The Peres Gambit. Then came the internet and monthly newsletters like ours saw their usefulness disappear.
    Just twenty years ago I sat in shul in a proud Israel, confident its army would never let it down. The PLO were as good as dead and bankrupt and we were kings in our castle. The new post-Oslo generation bears no resemblance to the Israelis of my time. They think they did something wrong, while they are surrounded by ugly, grey walls to keep their Oslo partners from murdering them.

The writer, an Italian journalist with Il Foglio, writes a weekly column for Arutz Sheva. Everything has been written about the Israeli commitment not to leave its soldiers behind in the field (be they alive or dead), about the fact that no other country in the world would trade one soldier for a thousand of terrorists, about the excruciating torture that Gilad Shalit’s parents have endured over five years and about the need of relief of the Israeli society.
The Shalit affair is the psycological drama of the Jewish tiny nation under siege.
It’s true that once Shalit comes home the Hamas in Gaza will have lost their most valuable human shield of all, but no security reason could have really justified such a deal.
Simply said, Israeli leaders weren’t able to sustain the hard stare of Noam and Aviva Shalit, that is the mirror image of the youthful face of Ron Arad, the love and the nightmare of the Jewish State with his emaciated and dying body.
Shalit's mode is not political, it is a moral one.
Israel will make the impossible exchange and it is understandable that a country, so little and abandoned to itself, is deeply united around the value of life.
But since this is a psycological drama, let’s be honest: Israel is betraying the families who lost relatives under terrorism. Shalit's family won, the state and the thousands of families destroyed by hatred lost.
The joy of the murderers and their well advertised victory signs certainly renew the pain and agony. As Ross Douthat recently wrote in the New York Times, “most Americans support the death penalty because they want to believe that our justice system is just, and not merely a mechanism for quarantining the dangerous in order to keep the law-abiding safe. The case for executing murderers is a case for proportionality in punishment: for sentences that fit the crime, and penalties that close the circle”.
Now Israel is crossing all the red lines.
Next week the Israeli bereaved families will see the butchers of their own relatives walking out from prison after spending few years in jail.
I dedicated five years to tracking down and interviewing Israeli witnesses to terrorist atrocities — including people who survived attacks and family members of those who did not.
I am probably the only person in the world who spent more time on the biographies of the Israeli victims as on the horrible details of their end and the desperation of their families.
Many bereaved parents I know are supporting the deal and many others are radically against it. I know that no one is more familiar with the pain the Shalit family is experiencing than families whose child’s life was destroyed by a suicide bomber.
The bereaved parents know what it is to awake every morning and face another day without that precious child and they share with the Shalits the same yearning to touch and speak to him again.
The only concession to families of the victims will be the publication – a mere 48 hours prior to the release – of the names of the prisoners being set free. That’s all. It’s the end of the deal for them.
The Israeli government is saying to these families: “We are sorry, the social pressure was too high, the Arab spring gave us a chance for a deal, this is a political game”.
Next week, when most of the Israelis will share Shalits’ joy and concern about the mental health of their son, let’s hope that many others will remember the aftermath of the suicide attacks: the victims arranged near the carcass of the bus, the bodies placed in black bags, the Polaroid photos, the remains of a stroller, the scattered gray matter on the windows nearby, the Nazi number tattooed on the burned arms, the acrid odor of burned flesh and hair, the teeth and the DNA by which the victims were identified, the little pieces of jewelry that were everything a mother found at the morgue, the school notebooks, the military berets, the tennis shoes, the kippot of every color and the officers’ insignia.
Next week someone should lay a flower near the thousands of plaques bearing the names of innocent Jews displayed along streets, schools, synagogues, cafes, restaurants, markets, parks and gardens.
Despite the war for survival, Israel’s economy is booming, democracy is solid, immigration is growing and demography is thriving.
But the State of Israel betrayed its victims. It's a process that began when Yitzhak Rabin called Ofra Felix, a wonderful Israeli girl killed by the terrorists in 1995, "a victim of the peace process".
The Talmud says that in Israel, the dead protect the living. Today it's less true.
The question everybody has to answer is: why?

Democracy is not about majority

Democracy is not a problem in itself. Democracy provides for a Jewish state
just as it provides for an Arab or a Christian one—a state of hollow
symbolism. Arabs can accept hollow Jewish symbolism, but not a real Jewish
state. True values can only be forced by a minority upon the majority. As we see
in the Bible, ancient Jews were massively idolatrous, yet the few—whether they
were righteous kings, prophets, or Maccabean fundamentalists—forced them back
into the fold. Democracy seeks a common denominator for the masses. States start
around values, but democracy votes the values away like any other restrictions;
people vote for the most simple, unrestricted, loose life. Democracy shows the
entropy in social systems: eventually, such systems lose any distinguishing
characteristics and descend into the morass of value-less homogeneity. This is
not the typical homogeneity of a repressive regulatory society, but a uniformity
of moral deprivation.

Democracy plays a trick on peace-loving Jews. As various polls indicate that
the vast majority of Palestinians support a two-state solution and Israeli Arabs
are overwhelmingly okay with Israel's designation as a Jewish state, the
assumption is that the deal is done. Wrong. What matters is not a democratic
majority, but the extremely hostile minority of 25–35 percent who would fight
Israel no matter what. In crises, the most determined group prevails, never the
majority.

At any rate, the democratic solution is closed in Israel: Arabs and leftists
make the majority.
Conservative Jews—and we don’t count the Likud supporters among them—just
cannot prevail by democratic means. But could they revolt? A frog does not jump
out of hot water if boiled slowly. Not annexing Sinai in 1956 and Hebron in
1967, being expelled from Yamit and Gush Katif, conceding to Muslim pollution of
the Temple Mount and the banning of Jewish worship there; concession after
concession has beaten Jewish conservatives into unconsciousness.

Add to that the conservatives’ traditional laziness. Leftists seek to change
society, and are active. Conservatives seek to preserve, and are passive. Even
Meir Kahane failed to collect money for his campaigns. Out of his hundreds of
thousands of supporters, he could not muster eight thousand poll watchers to
prevent the left from stealing his votes.

On a positive side, democracy is very weak, unsuitable for wartime or a
perpetual conflict like the one Israel finds herself in. A major upheaval such
as a victorious war, or perhaps a revival of Torah Judaism, could allow the
conservatives to prevail over public institutions. I imagine that many centrists
(people with no values of their own) would sigh with relief if military
putschists would take over the government and impose a pro-Jewish, anti-Arab
agenda on society, without the need for the majority to make that welcome but
uncomfortable choice.

Aliyah or Escape?

The quandary remains...Make Aliyah because of the love I have for HaShem & Israel...That is no issue...But is this clear feeling "clouded" by the everyday frustration of working and being surrounded by Goyim? I know there are many righteous Gentiles....Yet

We are so different. Besides the "Pig", the differences begin with seeing such a depreciated or non-existent moral compass.

It does not make me question anything I believe in and I know that my Tshuva is a strength that guides me safely through.

I really don't think that the surroundings that irk me are a motivating force. They make it easier to say ugh and of course I want Aliyah...

Aliyah is not without it's difficulties and the routine that one establishes in the Galut are hard to break away from without a concentrated effort.

So I guess when the time is right...it will hit me.

I look for community here...but everyone seems to have assimilated either in lifestyle or devotion. Still others are very Observant and yet they remain in the Galut. That is confusing. How can any Observant Jew that believes in the Torah etc. not feel compelled to go home. Why stay, where you remain the minority and are barely considered anything more than Dhimmi? Perhaps there are those that believe you can practice Tikkun Olam and develop your Nefesh anywhere?

The US is clearly suffering from a massive moral decay....

It is the traditional end to virtually all civilizations in history. In these more "modern" times they try to fix the economy and feel that is the strength of their country. The division between the haves and have nots grow. The "deprived" members of this country have nothing to lose and frequently show it...through all sorts of criminal behavior.

I can only assume that this will spiral further towards Sodom & Gomorrah. Whether there will be an outside influence to accelerate this process remains to be seen.

So, the feeling of not belonging and being tolerated in tandem with the obvious winding down of the US...makes you think that as the Country deteriorates...who will the Goyim blame?

Yup, same old-same old....

There are no “occupied” territories.
There are no “disputed” territories.
There are no “unallocated” territories.
There is purely and simply Eretz Yisrael -- from the Hermon to the Red Sea, from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River.
While it constitutes a mere fraction of the historic Land of Israel, the “national home for the Jewish People” vouchsafed us under the Balfour Declaration, it is indisputably, unconditionally ours, by any interpretation of international law.
Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations of Jun, 1919 legalized the transfer of sovereignty over Palestine to the Jewish people by the Supreme Council of the Principal Allied Powers -- Great Britain, France, Italy and Japan.
The San Remo Peace Conference of April 1920 marked the official adoption of the Balfour Declaration by the Principal Allied Powers, confirming what constitutional lawyer and scholar Howard Grief has described as “the legal title of the Jewish People to the mandated territory of Palestine in all of its historical parts and dimensions … under international law.*”
The Franco-British Boundary Convention of December 1920 made it clear that those “historical parts and dimensions” included the Golan and Transjordan.
There is no mention of the words “Arab” or “Arab state” anywhere in the Mandate for Palestine entrusted to Great Britain by the San Remo Peace Conference. Indeed, that document is devoid of reference to the political or national rights of any community in Palestine other than those of the Jewish community.
The current attempt, 90 years after the fact, to impose a bogus ”Palestinian State” on the Jewish People within the borders of their national home is the most unmitigated contempt of international legal precedent in modern history.
To the supporters of this presumptive usurpation of our land an our rights in obeisance to the blood- lust of a jihadist Arab world , there can be only one national Jewish response: IT WILL NOT PASS!

It will be six years this August since the expulsion of the 10,000 Jews from 21 beautiful communities in Gush Katif/Gaza and the Shomron. The majority are still living in caravan (trailer) towns like Nitzan, close enough to Gaza to be impacted constantly by the kassam rockets being fired daily into the Negev. Since their homes are so flimsy, obviously without "safe rooms" , the government sent old sewer pipes to the town to be used as shelters when the red alert sounds, warning of an incoming rocket. Moshe Saperstein, a veteran of the Yom Kippur war, where he lost his right arm, and a terror attack that cost him some fingers on his left hand, named the sewers the "sewervillas." This is his attempt at turning an absurdity into something tolerable. Just as the caravans have been named "caravillas", so the sewer pipes are "sewervillas." Moshe has sworn not to crawl into the sewer pipes when hearing the red alert. He believes they are for rats, not for humans.

In the middle of the night, when you can't sleep and begin wandering around the house, come the flashbacks. Wrapped in a warm blanket I turn on the television set and watch the NHK news in English from Japan.It is riveting. I watch the faces of the survivors of the tsunami. Most are elderly. They lie on blankets on the floor of the evacuation shelter, dazed and uncomprehending. They are the survivors. Their home, villages, places of worship, shops and family members have disappeared. Gone. Only the rubble remains.

Forgive me if I make comparisons between what befell these people and the tragedy that took place in Gush Katif. In Japan we saw destruction by the forces of nature. We faced man-made destruction of our homes and communities.I see myself in each of the Japanese people, and I cry for them. Three weeks after the tsunami social workers and psychologists encouraged them to speak about what they had experienced. They talked about the moment that changed their lives forever.

I recall the social workers who came to the hotel where Gush Katif refugees lived in tiny rooms. "Don't cry" they said to us, smiling, totally without understanding or empathy for the tragedy that had befallen us.My flashbacks have become today's reality in another country.

Reality mixed with flashbacks raises its head once again. This time, a war is imminent. A school bus was targeted by an anti-tank missile, reminding me of the Kfar Darom school has that was targeted in Gush Katif. I call a friend in Kibbutz Saad. The bus was blown up just meters from her home. She's okay, she says. She's calm, she says. Rockets have been falling near and around her home. Her 'safe-room' is nearing completion.Another war is coming. I sleep in thick sweats and woolen socks.

Friday afternoon. Five loud explosions bring us out of our homes. No one would react to one, or even two. But five? It's an hour before Shabbat. Blank-faced we scan the sky for smoke, then hear the sound of planes. There is a collective sigh of relief We are hitting them, and not the other way around.

It's going to be a rough Shabbat.

Friday night I don't sleep well. At 4am the siren wails. I put on my thick red robe, and wake my husband.

"Are you going into the sewervilla?" I ask.

"I'd rather die comfortably in bed than in a sewer pipe filled with screaming people" he says, and goes back to sleep.

The neighbors across the way open their door. I wave and walk over to them.

"Are you going into the sewer pipe?" I ask. "I don't think so. It's too cold."

The siren continues to wail. The rocket is still on the way.

None of the other neighbors appear. I return to the caravilla.

12) Retake Gaza and begin to expel the Arabs home to Jordan and Lebanon.
13) Take care of the people from Gush Katif by giving them back their land and a $1,000,000 Shekels.
14) Change the legal system to allow the people to vote for judges and give them limited power.
15) Create a portfolio for the members of the Sanhedrin and some Jurisdiction.
16) Execute all terrorists in prison 50 at a time until Gilad Shalit is returned.
17) Make Rabbi Tovia Singer the official Temple Mount tour Guide and pay him handsomely!

19) Mandate all food in Israel to be Kosher.
20) Build Temple 3....and have University course created by The Temple Institute to maintain Beit HaMikdash.

Obama trying to unseat Israeli leader? Country’s ‘social protests’ may be engineered for regime change.

JERUSALEM – Is President Obama attempting to unseat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and replace him with a leftist Israeli leader who largely tows the president’s Mideast line?

There are indications the so-called social protests rocking Israel were engineered for that very purpose.
According to an investigative report in Israel’s Maariv’s newspaper, the country’s protests were engineered by a group of media strategists directed by prominent Democratic strategist Stanley Greenberg, a former adviser to Bill Clinton, John Kerry and others.

Greenberg reportedly is working with Israeli strategists who were behind left-wing leader Ehud Barak’s successful race for prime minister in 1999. Greenberg himself helped to run Barak’s campaign.
Barak is currently the Defense Minister in a coalition government with Netanyahu.

Last week, KleinOnline reported Greenberg previously ran the campaign of Bolivia’s former president, who was ushered into office amid escalating social protests in that country.
After Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada took power in Bolivia, he quickly implemented an economic “shock therapy” crafted by Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University professor who sits on the board of an organization literally seeking to reorganize the entire global economic system.That group is the Institute for New Economic Thinking, or INET.

Now, a closer look at Greenberg’s previous work in Israel may betray his ultimate intentions with regard to the social protests here.In 1999, after Netanyahu rebuffed President Clinton’s demands for the relinquishment of strategic territory, Clinton deployed Greenberg along with veteran Democratic image maker Robert Shrum and James Carville to run Barak’s campaign.
This followed the fall of Netanyahu’s governing coalition, an event precipitated behind the scenes by Clinton, according to numerous Netanyahu insiders speaking to KleinOnline.
Those insiders recounted how the Clinton White House convinced Netanyahu coalition partners to abandon Netanyahu’s government, thus promting new elections.
Barak, leader of the leftist Labor party, was the main challenger against Netanyahu.
Greenberg, Shrum and Carville went to work crafting an image of Netanyahu as spurning Israel’s relationships with the international community, particularly the U.S., while Barak was upheld as the clear candidate of choice for Clinton.
According to media reports, Greenberg flew into Israel routinely to craft Barak’s strategy and reportedly did most of the heavy lifting for Shrum and Carville.
After Barak successfully unseated Netanyahu, the new Israeli leader largely towed Clinton’s major Mideast policies.
Indeed, with Clinton, Barak offered PLO Leader Yasser Arafat a state in the eastern sections of Jerusalem, reportedly including the Temple Mount, as well as the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
After Arafat turned down Barak’s offer at Camp David in the summer of 2000, Barak made even further concessions while the Palestinian leader was busy starting his intifada, or terror war, against Israel.
Now, as protests reportedly engineered by Greenberg run amuck in Israel, Barak has been openly challenging Netanyahu’s policies at every turn.
Netanyahu has openly rejected Obama’s demands for a retreat from most of the West Bank, Jordan valley and eastern Jerusalem. The Israeli leader has been scornful of Obama’s unprecedented demand for a halt to Jewish construction in eastern Jerusalem.
Barak, meanwhile, has repeatedly attacked Netanyahu’s policies while aligning his own policies with those of Obama.
Just this week, Barak called for the immediate return to negotiations with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has rejected talks and is instead seeking to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state at the United Nations next week.
This past weekend, Barak called for a special Knesset summit to debate what he called Israel’s “diplomatic isolation,” hinting Netanyahu is largely responsible for that isolation and not the recent Mideast revolutions that quickly ushered anti-Israel personalities to power.
In a report earlier this month, Haaretz columnist Akiva Eldar, a supporter of Obama’s Mideast agenda, wrote that since Netanyahu has refused many of Obama’s demands, the Obama administration has decided to take a page out of the Clinton guidebook and overthrow Netanyahu’s government.
Wrote Eldar, “When Clinton recently invited Kadima leader Tzipi Livni to a private meeting, this signified an unofficial announcement that Netanyahu’s account in Washington has been closed.”
“Twelve years ago, when Hillary Clinton’s husband realized that… [Netanyahu] had no intention of honoring his signature (on the Wye River Accord with Yasser Arafat), that was Netanyahu’s last stop before being sent back to his villa in Caesarea,” continued Eldar.
‘Our brand is crisis’
Two weeks ago saw the largest protests in Israel’s history. Four hundred thousand people hit the streets in cities across the country purportedly to protest against the rising cost of living while demanding sweeping economic reforms.
That massive protest was the culmination of weeks of similar social demonstrations and protest tent cities that organized in various Israeli municipalities, principally in Tel Aviv.
KleinOnline has reported how similar tent cities are being planned by a slew of U.S. radicals calling for a “Day of Rage” targeting Wall Street and U.S. capitalism.
Greenberg, the reported architect of the protests in Israel, founded the Democratic strategy firm Democracy Corps with Clinton advisers James Carville and Bob Shrum. Earlier, the trio ran a strategizing outfit called Greenberg Carville Shrum.
That firm in 2002 was behind a sophisticated campaign in Bolivia that helped de Lozada win his country’s elections amid ongoing social protests. It was the second time de Lozada served as Bolivia’s president.
In 1985, after de Lozada came to office the first time, he quickly implemented Sachs’ “shock therapy.” De Lozada attempted to engineer the restructuring of the Bolivian economy and the dismantling of the country’s state-capitalist model that had prevailed there since the 1952 Bolivian Revolution.
Sachs is a renowned international economist best known for his work as an economic adviser to governments in Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union
His “shock therapy” calls for drastically cutting inflation by scrapping all subsidies, price controls, restrictions on exports, imports and private business activity. The scheme also calls for linking each restructured country’s economy with a more global currency.
Sachs’ remedy for Bolivia, however, had dire consequences.
The Sachs plan did beat the country’s inflation, but the price was continuing high unemployment, economic stagnation, labor revolt, a state of siege and a deepening involvement in the international drug market, reports noted.
To beat the hyperinflation under Sachs’ plan, Bolivia ensured a large number of workers were laid off while others’ salaries were slashed, leading to widespread worker strikes.
The Bolivian government imposed a state of siege in response to a wave of strikes.
Similar protests engulfed Bolivia when Greenberg’s firm helped to orchestrate de Lozada’s 2002 win. De Lozada had announced that he planned to once again implement Sachs’ “shock therapy” for Bolivia.
A 2005 documentary, entitled, “Our Brand is Crisis: Exporting neoliberal spin,” followed Greenberg’s and Carville’s electioneering in Bolivia on behalf of de Lozada.
The film noted Greenberg’s team saw no need to recraft de Lozada’s economic policy approach based on Sachs “shock therapy” plan.
De Lozada was victorious in the 2002 elections, but was run out of office one year later amid massive opposition to his economic policies. Protesters demanded a return to the capitalist system.
Bretton Woods and ‘shocking’ world economy
Sachs, meanwhile, sits on the board of the Soros-funded Institute for New Economic Thinking.
This past April, Sachs keynoted INET’s annual meeting, which took place in the mountains of Bretton Woods, N.H.
The gathering took place at Mount Washington Hotel, famous for hosting the original Bretton Woods economic agreements drafted in 1944. That conference’s goal was to rebuild a post-World War II international monetary system. The April gathering had a similar stated goal – a global economic restructuring.
A Business Insider report on last year’s event related, “George Soros has brought together a crack team of the world’s top economists and financial thinkers.”
“Its aim,” continued the business newspaper, “to remake the world’s economy as they see fit.”
More than two-thirds of the speakers at this year’s conference had direct ties to Soros.
Besides his role at INET, Sachs, a special adviser to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, is founder and co-president of the Soros-funded Millennium Promise Alliance, a nonprofit organization that says it is dedicated to ending extreme poverty and hunger.
Global taxes
With $50 million in capital from Soros, Millennium promotes a global economy while urging cooperation and investment from international banks and the United Nations Development Program.
The group helped to found the United Nations Millennium Development Goal, a move that was advanced by Sachs. He served as director from 2002 to 2006.
The U.N. Millennium Development Goal has demanded the imposition of international taxes as part of a stated effort of “eradicating extreme poverty, reducing child mortality rates, fighting disease epidemics such as AIDS, and developing a global partnership for development.”
Investor’s Business Daily reported the Millennium goal called for a “currency transfer tax,” a “tax on the rental value of land and natural resources,” a “royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection – oil, natural gas, coal,” “fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels.”
Indeed, last September, a group of 60 nations, including France, Britain and Japan, propose at the U.N. summit on the Millennium Development Goals that a tax be introduced on international currency transactions to raise funds for development aid.
The proposed 0.005 percent tax on currency transactions would raise as much as $35 billion a year in development aid, claimed the proponents.
More Soros ties
Greenberg, meanwhile, also runs his own polling and strategy firm, Greenberg Quinlan Rosner.
A partner in the firm is Jeremy D. Rosner, who was special assistant to Clinton during his first term in office, serving as counselor and senior director for legislative affairs on the staff of the National Security Council.
Rosner’s current client list, according to Greenberg’s website, includes Soros’ Open Society Institute.

The pace at which we are losing the fear of the nations - Israel's strategic power of deterrence, is faster than anything we could have imagined. While we are still accommodating ourselves to one humiliation, another, more severe affront comes knocking on our national door. The Turk helps to breach our maritime border and attack our soldiers and instead of apologizing he demands our apology; the Gazan attacks our cities with missiles and in exchange demands - and receives - a state; the Egyptian burns our embassy and in exchange, our Prime Minister thanks the American who was kind enough to call the Egyptian who wouldn't answer our phone calls; he also thanks the Egyptian who was kind enough to answer the American's phone call and to save the Jews in the embassy from a fate reminiscent of 1929 - when hate-crazed Arab mobs brutally massacred Jews in cities throughout the Land of Israel.

The Turk embarks on a speed-campaign to trample every possible Israeli interest and the PM promises to rectify our relations with Turkey. He also promises to quickly re-open Israel's embassy in Egypt and to learn the lessons of this past weekend: In other words, to build a higher wall. Even the dictator from Jordan, in danger of losing his throne like Mubarak, Gaddafi and Assad, dares to get in on the act and question our right to exist.

This week's Torah portion, Ki Tavo, is actually the key to forging Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel. It is a thorough and detailed description of how to build a Jewish kingdom in the Land of Israel such that all the nations of the world will immediately understand that the King of this nation is the Master of the Universe Himself - and their hearts will automatically fill with awe and admiration.

"And it will be when you come to the Land that Hashem your G-d is giving you for an inheritance and you shall inherit it and settle in it. And you shall take from the first fruits of the earth that you shall bring from your Land that Hashem your G-d gives you and you shall place them in the basket and you shall go to the place that Hashem will choose for His Name to dwell there." (Deuteronomy 26:1-2)

The King of Kings, the Master of the Universe, dwells in your midst - in the royal palace; the Holy Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. And you, before you harvest the fruits of your economic success and close yourself off in your own world, are commanded to first ascend in joy to the royal courtyard; its gates are open for you. There, in the courtyard of G-d's house, you will thank your King, remember and appreciate Him and internalize the loving kindness that He has bestowed upon you. You will coronate Him again as King over you, your family, your community, your nation and the entire world.

Afterwards, your daily routine will be informed by the guidance that you received at the Temple, in accordance with the holistic Torah that emanates from the place chosen by G-d. The Temple is really the only place from which the Torah can emanate in its pure, complete, unified and relevant form.

If you do not live in the Land in this holistic way, you really have not entered the Land. Deep in your heart, you understand that you are merely a guest. The Turk can protect his interests beyond his borders, but you dare not do so. Not because you are physically weak, but because you do not feel that this is your home. You have not come to the place chosen by G-d. True, you are the legal inheritor, the son of the queen, but you hurried to pass the responsibility on to the son of the handmaiden. You do not ascend to the courtyards of G-d, but to the courtyards of Uncle Sam.

It took a long time. But in the end they understood. Now they do not even need to make war. You are doing all the work for them. And Migron is only the beginning.

There is only one way to change direction. The face of the nation is its leadership. Israel urgently needs G-d fearing leadership.

And all the nations of the world will see that G-d's Name is called upon you and they will fear you.

The economic hardships felt by many Israelis must be the fault of the settlers and the Ultra-Orthodox. After all, who else can possibly be to blame?

This article will not deal with the ridiculous claims aimed at the settlers (as if a kindergarten in Ofra costs more than a kindergarten in the Galil or Tel Aviv). Instead, we will focus on the Ultra-Orthodox and the claims against them that seem true on the surface. A large community that does not work, while being sustained by the taxpayers' money, does seem to be a strain on the economy.

First of all, I would like to state that a way of life that encourages the public at large - and not just the best and brightest who are studying Torah - not to work, is clearly problematic. That is not what Judaism is about. The reliance of so many thousands of men on the Torah-learning stipend while not significantly providing for their families stems from some historic distortions that have more to do with politics than with ideology. Nevertheless, that is the problem of the Ultra-Orthodox themselves. They are the only people who have to deal with it and it looks like they are doing so more than ever before.

But let us look at the claim that the Ultra-Orthodox are living off the money of the taxpayers. On the surface, in the short term, that is the truth. But in the long term, it is quite likely that just the opposite is true and that it will be the secular who will be living off the tax shekels of the Ultra-Orthodox. Sounds surprising?

The economic crisis plaguing the Western world is fueled by low birthrates. In most of Western Europe, the birth rate is negative; less than two children per family. Parallel to the low birthrate, life expectancy in those countries has risen. The result is that the percentage of elderly in those societies is very large. The shrinking younger generation no longer has the ability to sustain the aging generation, whose longevity requires expensive medical care. And so, West European countries are falling into the throes of economic crisis, one after the other.

It turns out that the most important investment a nation can make is in its children. An Ultra-Orthodox family that brings ten children to the world invests tremendous effort to raise them. The Tel Avivian with one or two children whose tax shekels today help them with their efforts - is actually investing in the people who will provide for him when he gets older!

The economy seems to be failing, slower than recently.
It's like the a storm that rips through the trees after the large storm that ripped through the trees....
All of the weak branches have fallen. What is left are those more economically stable and/or with more
fallback or the self employed that have simply tightened their belts hoping to weather the storm.

There is a Presidential election creeping towards us and the GOP with pick some appointed Xtian candidate to represent the old boy network. The Dems with probably run with the incumbent BHO. Will BHO even have to try to get elected if the opposition continues to present a non-minority etc candidate?

Will Jonathan Pollard get a pardon from the second chance POTUS? He thinks everyone else deserves a second chance and government safety nets etc....But of course Jonathan is a Jew and there is no doubt in my mind that the POTUS is top 5 largest Anti-Semites on the Planet (Hello Soros) .So, no dice!

The frustration that grasped me over Shabbat reminded me time and again of the man who told me how, at his bar mitzvah, "A ghost suddenly entered the synagogue in Budapest. It was scary, with a stench of smoke and death. The ghost ascended to the stage of the synagogue and began to shout: 'Jews! I have escaped Auschwitz to warn you! They will burn you! Run away now!'"

"The synagogue managers," the man continued, "dragged him off the stage and threw him out of the synagogue. I was sitting next to my father, in an aisle seat, and the man touched me. Until this very day, I can remember his smell. One month later, I was in Auschwitz."

That is what happens when the public is not willing to deal with the significance of what it hears. That is what happens when leadership is captive to the existing pre-conceptions. No facts, proofs or evidence will help. They will not listen to you; they will throw you out of the synagogue, they will say that you are an extremist, crazy; they will do anything to save themselves from dealing with the significance of what you are saying.

I didn't really want to write about what is happening in Israel's south. What can I say? "I told you so?" There is nothing taking place now that I have not warned about in tens of articles. What good will come out of writing the same things again? Why should anybody listen now? What can I write? Blame Begin who surrendered the Sinai desert? Rabin and Peres who surrendered Gaza and injected Arafat's army of terrorists into its streets and alleys? Sharon who destroyed (excuse me, "disengaged" from) Gush Katif?

I hear the "experts" on the radio. The broadcasters are not interviewing those people who tried to warn us. Instead, they interview the 'synagogue managers', those people who held senior positions and those who cooperated with the liars. They will go to great lengths to preserve the lie and the mentality that defends it.

"Feiglin! Tell me what we can do!" a senior worker in the Ashkelon municipality shouted to me after a Grad missile landed in her yard.
"First of all, change all the names of the streets, plazas and boulevards here back from 'Rabin' to their original names," I answered her and she, totally shocked, turned around and walked away, not integrating what I had just said to her.

Remember Rabin. It is impossible to get through to a public that is captive to a misconception. From at least the time of Oslo, the Nation of Israel is captive. Instead of freeing itself from the Oslo mentality and the name Rabin that symbolizes it, they changed the names of the Katyusha missiles. Rabin promised they wouldn't fly from Gaza into Israel. They do, but never fear. In the north, where Rabin never promised we would not be hit by Katyushas, we are still attacked by Katyushas. But in the south, where he scoffed at the thought, we are attacked by Grads.

Just a short while after the murderous rampage (a.k.a a "terror attack") in the south, Israel's Air Force eliminated five senior terrorists in Gaza. The news broadcasts also mentioned that they were behind Gilad Schalit's abduction. Why didn't they kill them earlier and prevent the murders? Because Israel has no goal other than to survive. Its leadership cannot initiate anything because there is no national goal for which it is legitimate to fight, other than simple existence. If Israel had killed the terrorists before their rampage, tensions here would have escalated and the media that continues to pump Oslo into our bloodstream would have blamed our leaders. In other words, when there is no destiny beyond mere existence, we cannot initiate. All we can do is react. So now we have more murdered Jews and an escalation of tensions, as well.

All that we wanted was to realize the Zionist goal of "being a normal nation like all other nations." We tried to create an artificial reality that would replace the heavy burden of destiny that the Jewish Nation carries on its back.
But reality, of course, cannot be changed. We have lost eye contact with our destiny and now, even though we are stronger than ever, we cannot defend ourselves. Without destiny, all that we can do is react. And he who only reacts, will ultimately fall.
I am a great believer in this Nation. I believe that ultimately, we will return to our destiny-consciousness. When that happens, our enemies will evaporate. I just pray that the process of reclaiming our destiny will not be too painful.

Churchill was wrong saying that democracy is the worst of all political systems
except for every other which was ever tried. We can counter with Keynes’
quote, “In the long run, we’re all dead.” Every system, including every
political system, is always exploited, loopholes found in its checks and
balances, and the system is taken over by unscrupulous men and deteriorates.
That is equally true of clans, monarchies, feudalism—any form of government.
In historical terms, democracy is not even the most resilient system: for most
of human history, people were governed by paternalist clans. In every country
except the United States, monarchy has outlasted democracy, and even there
dynasties emerge, such as the Bushes.

So the real question is not what political system can exist eternally? None can.
The question is also not what political system outlasts all others? There is
nothing inherently wrong with societies changing their system of government. The
question is what political system conforms to our best goal right now?

Our goal in Israel cannot just be safety, for we would never be safe in a sea of
Muslims. Even if we totally submit to them as dhimmi, Muslims are unlikely to
offer Jews the relative protection we enjoyed with them for centuries. Modern
Muslims are experiencing the death pangs of their failing civilization, or
rather their way of life, as they have failed to develop a civilization. They
are desperate, and desperation often makes people aggressive.

Our goal in Israel is a kind of Jewish state, vaguely defined as something
between the Left’s “state with a Jewish majority” and a religious Jewish
state. The “Jewish majority” definition is evidently unworkable: even before
Arabs reach a majority, they have already been proven to exert considerable
influence over Jewish lives. Israeli Arabs side with Jewish defeatists in the
Knesset, attack Jews and threaten riots throughout the country, and even judge
the Jews, especially the thousands of Jewish women who married the Arabs. Also,
the “Jewish majority” goal is actually a means: the majority is supposed to
vote the Jewish way.

What is a Jewish way? Like any other people except for religion. There is no
Jewish blood, culture, or cuisine worth fighting for. Jewish people are only
distinct in terms of religion. Now, many might think the prohibition against
using an elevator or turning on a light on Sabbath is silly, but there is no
argument that work is prohibited on the Sabbath. The Israeli state needs an
ideology, a raison d’etre, like any state, and only the Jewish religion offers
such ideology. When we fight the Arabs, it is evidently more inspiring to fight
for “cities of our God.” When we claim our right to the land, it is simple
enough to assert that God gave it to us—without dubious and humiliating
references to the UN resolutions. When we want to live without Arabs, we can
easily justify such policies by the religious commandment to expel the
aborigines. Judaism offers valuable suggestions on dealing with the Amalek from
Gaza, on cleansing the Temple Mount of the Aqsa abomination, for refusing to
give away the Promised Land.

Goals of divine service and comfortable life are not mutually exclusive. In
every country, people accept upon themselves certain prohibitions in order to
live comfortably. We don’t turn on loud music at 3 a.m. even if our mood is
great and we would love for every neighbor to know it. Comfortable social life
is, first of all, the realization that all your neighbors share your way of
doing things, if not your way of thinking. Comfort lies in knowing that your
neighbors are like you – and they are likely to like you, and you like them.
You wouldn’t want your children to socialize with the homosexuals next door,
or learn from defeatists in school, or encounter missionaries on the streets.
I’m not a haredi, but always feel an almost physical wave of comfort upon
coming to their Mea Shearim or Bnei Brak neighborhoods. I know that I have more
in common with them than with the commies from the kibbutzim.
So the question is if we can accept a degree of religiosity as a common
denominator for Jews? In very basic terms, the requirements are quite simple: we
don’t eat pork and rabbit, refrain from going to the office on Shabbat, keep
short fasts and go to synagogues once in a while, and refuse to give up the
Promised Land to Arabs within or without. In my experience, just about all the
secular persons who started observing commandments in their most basic form
eventually accepted upon themselves the Yoke of Heaven. Such progress is,
however, voluntary. Society doesn’t look into your home fridge, but it would
also not tolerate Tel Aviv restaurants serving pork. No one checks to see if you
have read the Kiddush on Shabbat, but at least you’re expected to refrain from
driving on Shabbat; you can drive on Sunday, which would also be a weekend
holiday. Believe me, after a year of not driving on Shabbat you will start
reading Kiddush, too, if only to justify your not driving. The society where all
the people share basic religious values and act coherently would be
fantastically comfortable.
The Jewish law in Israel would make her a very strong society. Pressing a
religious society to give away the holy land is pointless. Our Arab enemies
would only remain outside the country, and they will know that Jews fight the
biblical way, so there is no point provoking us.

Jewish theocracy closely parallels original, unadulterated democracy. Early
democracies had an electoral barrier: not everyone could be elected, but only
the people whose age and status offered a good chance that they would lead
society wisely. So Jewish democracy is based upon Sanhedrin rather than the
Knesset. In practical terms, that means that only rabbis can be elected.
Messiah, of course, doesn’t belong to Shas, but even the Shas rabbis are much
more intelligent and decent than the average MK; rabbis are certainly preferable
to Meretz or the Arab MKs.
Religious parties exploit the system of government, but all the parties do
likewise and often squeeze much more public funds and for much more useless
purposes than religious Jews do. In a Jewish theocracy, the ruling rabbis would
be constrained by halacha, just like constitutional monarchies are constrained
by basic law. Jewish theocracy makes for a very decent society with a
laissez-faire economy with 10 or 20 percent non-military taxation.

What is the alternative to religious ideology? Zionism was the idea to bring
Jews to a state of their own; that idea is fulfilled and is not moot. Zionism as
seen by Herzl is irrelevant today. In post-Zionist Israel, conscription will
become increasingly unfashionable, something for the lower classes. This process
is known from the USSR and USA: military service, once an attraction and a
matter of pride, suddenly becomes unattractive. No amount of propaganda in
school can stem that development: Israeli children would soon laugh at the empty
militarism: stupid people fight the Arabs, and smart people do business with
them or conduct peace talks. The army would have to accommodate religious Jews,
and they will change the army and become actively involved in the state’s
affairs.

Eventually, even such a state would deteriorate. Religiosity would become
unfashionable. The observance will become automated, and the sense of religious
identification will diminish. First-century Judea retained attributes of a
religious state while actually becoming an assimilationist hotspot. Its Temple,
built by the non-observant non-Jew King Herod, could not possibly attract the
Divine Presence. Judea was polluted—and controlled—by idol-worshiping
foreigners who erected their altars throughout the country. Jews were content
with shrinking the Land of Israel’s sanctity to Jerusalem, which was the only
city relatively free of paganism. The dissidents fled to Qumran. Judea was not
ruled according to Jewish law. The country’s destruction saved the Jews by
sending us to semi-isolated Diaspora communities rather then allowing Jews to
assimilate in their own country.

Theocracy and a Halachic state wouldn’t last forever, but would be the best
thing for now.

This is one such time: Mr. Barak, backed by the current prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, is going to agree to Egypt deploying thousands of troops in Sinai even though the Israel-Egypt peace treaty strictly forbids it. They will have helicopters and armored vehicles, Barak says, but no tanks beyond the lone battalion already stationed there.
Israel faces a dilemma with far-reaching strategic consequences. Thirty years of peace with Egypt have rested, above all, on a demilitarized Sinai. The peninsula is patrolled by an international force and monitored by America from the air, to ensure that both sides keep their armies out, even though Sinai is sovereign Egyptian soil. Until now, Israel had said no to Egyptian demands t o let more troops on to the peninsula, beyond what is specified in the 1979 peace treaty. Yet it urgently needs Egypt to tighten security.
The decision comes after an audacious attack on August 18th on Israeli vehicles travelling on a scenic road that hugs the Israel-Egypt border and ends at the resort town of Eilat. Eight Israelis, civilians and soldiers, died in the attack and in shoot-outs involving the army. Ten attackers were killed, two apparently by Egyptian border guards, six of whom were also killed in the crossfire. Egypt blamed Israel for the deaths. Israel replied that a hard-core group of Palestinians, all heavily armed, had entered Egypt’s Sinai peninsula from Gaza a month ago, camped and trained there, and made their way unhindered across open desert to the site of the attack. Egyptian and Israeli security sources believe that several militants operating in Sinai joined them to take part in the attacks.

The American Aliyah . . . . and how it will happen

You heard it here first. By 2025 there will be over 1 million American Jews living in Israel.

Actually – you didn’t hear it here first. We read it in the Tanach, Hashem told us this would happen through His prophets over three thousand years ago.

The process of Kibbutz Galyout, the ingathering of the exiles, has been taking place for well over a century. Since the first Russian Jew had enough of the pogroms and headed eastward, there has been a mass movement to the Holy Land from three of the four corners of the earth. Israel today boasts millions of Jews who have roots in the Arab Lands, Asia, South America, Europe, and Africa.

The only part of the world that hasn’t come home en masse is North America.

That’s about to change.

It won’t change because of Zionism, persecution, or even, Hashem forgive me, religious observance. But Hashem is guiding His hand to help us. It will happen for the simplest of reasons – self preservation.

Here’s how millions of American Jews will find themselves in Israel by 2025:

Over the next 15 years, the economic fortunes of America and Israel will cross paths in opposite directions. For the first time since World War II, the U.S. government has amassed a debt load equal to its entire economy. During WWII, all of this money was used towards industrial production of the American war machine. When the war was over, the factories were already built. The capacity was in place for the greatest economic expansion mankind has ever seen. While the debt of the U.S. continued to rise in the post World War II period, the economy grew so much faster that the debt to GDP ratio fell dramatically.

Until now.

Today, more than any government department except defense, America spends $420 billion a year on interest for its debt. This is while interest rates at all-time lows. If interest rates were to “revert to the mean” and hit, say 5%, this amount will double. America owes five times as much debt as they report to the world in the form of future Social Security and Medicare payments. They have to come up with $100 trillion over the next 30 years. Over 60% of U.S. debt is in the form of two year notes. This means that if interest rates were to suddenly spike, America is very exposed. America does not have the luxury of having locked up low interest rates for decades in the form of 30 year treasury notes – they stopped issuing them a while back. If rates go up, within 24 months, the total interest charge to the $14 trillion debt will skyrocket exponentially.

The only way America can pay it’s credit card and keep growing is by printing money. The contemporary term is quantitative easing, or QE3. This is the death blow for any economy. This is what did Germany in during the 1920s. it’s already having an impact today.

As time wears on, less and less of that money will be readily available to the average American family. Taxes will have to go up to service debt, or at least to ensure that after the government pays the interest, there will be enough left to provide the American public the bare essentials. Taxes can go up to 50%. After taxes, the government will continue to print money to “make ends meet,” i.e., fill in the gaps. This causes inflation – which means that after your pay your taxes, the buying power of the money you have left will quickly erode. This is why printing money is often referred to as the “invisible tax.”

Until America fundamentally restructures itself, a process that will take many years of very painful rebuilding, it will continue its economic decline.

Compare that to Israel.

Israel has a debt that is, according to the CIA factbook, 77% of its economy. This ratio is concerning, but not critical. The difference is that Israel has just discovered $1 trillion in natural resources off its coast. The next 15 years will see massive development of these resources and its use domestically, as well as its export to the world. Yes, Israel will probably double its debt in the next one to two decades, but her economy will grow at twice that pace. By 2025, Bezrat Hashem, the ratio of debt to GDP could be 45-50%, a very healthy number.

The State of Israel will not have to print money to meet its financial obligations. It also will not have to raise taxes either. If the economy doubles, or triples in size and tax rates stay the same, then the government will see three times the money flow in to its coffers. If the government even lowers taxes say, 10-20%, in real terms, they will still see more money come in than ever before.

Look at this from a personal perspective.

If you are an American family, you are going to see your taxes go up, and the value of the money you have left go down.

If you are an Israeli family, you are going to see your taxes remain the same, your income go up, and the value of the money you keep after taxes become more valuable. Israel has vowed to invest the lion’s share of its oil and gas royalties into education, meaning that these resources are going to fuel even more growth. Israel may be on the cusp of an economic explosion not seen since America in the 1990s.

This means more universities and institutions of higher learning. More scholarships. More opportunities for scientists, engineers, doctors – which there is a shortage of in Israel, and the like. More government payouts to the citizens. Better health care for everyone. Business grants, subsidized food sales, more aid to the poor and needy, and so much more.

If you are a family in America, the best thing you could do for your future, and the future of your children is move to Israel.

If you are a Jewish family, that’s exactly what you will have to do.

Today more than ever, there is a free flow of human capital throughout the globe. A citizen from Ireland, England, or France can work anywhere in Europe. America boasts millions of workers from all over the world – many of which do not have American citizenship. The opportunity for an American to work in Israel for a better life will become more enticing as time moves on.

Already the Nation of Israel appointed as head of its central bank an American expatriate. Stanley Fischer, whether he knows it or not, is the archetypical 21^st century Zionist Pioneer.

It will start with the doctors. 50% of doctors in the U.S. are Jewish. Israel will have a shortage of doctors this decade. For a Jewish state to have a shortage of doctors is pretty ironic – but the Hand of Hashem is moving His people home. Israel will have the financial ability to offer members of the medical profession more and more benefits to work here than ever. The easiest way to do this is to bring over Jewish doctors who are still trying to figure out how they will survive Obamacare.

It will continue with the pensioners. Currently the United States can continue to print all the money it likes without any consequences to its economy. The dollar is relatively solid, and interests rates are still low. The bond market hasn’t devalued the dollar enough yet for the U.S. Central Bank to cut off liquidity. This situation cannot go on forever. A day will come where investors will sell out of U.S. treasuries, driving down bond prices and pushing up interest rates.

The printing press will have to stop.

The U.S. will still have $100 trillion obligations, but they will no longer have the easy option to handle it.

One option is to just default on its debt. Another is to reneg on it.

America may have to come to the conclusion that it cannot feasibly pay out social security or medicare to its citizens. They will simply cancel it. They can either rewrite what benefits they are obligated for – which will be a shadow of what was originally promised, or just throw it out. Once Social Security and Medicare become true lies, America’s $100 trillion debt quickly becomes a $20 trillion debt. It’s the next “easy” solution to this colossal problem.

You don’t think a Congressman will have a problem getting elected on the platform of “Save entitlement or Save America!”

If you are an American family who paid into the Social Security system for decades, only to now realize that all the money you and your fellow citizens put into the Social Security trust fund were raided by Congress over the last 50 years and all that’s left is a big wad of IOUs that now won’t even be paid off – you are out of luck! If you are 75 years old, a retiree, and in need of medical care, you are in serious danger.

What are you going to do, go back to work? Who will hire you?

Israel has virtually free and universal health care. If you are Jewish, you are entitled to all of it by simply getting on a plane. The price of the ticket paid for by Israel.

That’s exactly what will happen in the near future.

Millions of American families will immigrate to Israel for the simple reality that Israel will have something to offer them that America no longer will.

It won’t start big – it will be a trickling at first.

Norman Moskowitz will move his family to Ra’nana. He will continue to skype all of his friends in Bay Ridge. He will tell his fellow officers at the Shul about the warm weather. He will tell his former boss about the exotic food. He will tell his friends about the cheap health care, and he will talk to a few people about opening up an import/export business. At first they will laugh at him. Then he will talk about the tax benefits. He will talk about how many incentives the government gives new immigrants to set up shop in the Holy Land. He will talk about all the social goodies the government showers upon its citizens with the new tax revenues while he still pays taxes equivalent, or even less than what he was paying back in the states.

In absentia, the new Israeli will be the buzz of Bay Ridge. “Norman has done so well for himself.” They will say.

All the families will be jealous. One or two of them, who were considering Israel for a while, will decide that if Norman can do it, so can they. Then these families will be skyping their friends confirming everything Norman said.

The first dominoes will fall and the chain reaction will begin. Pretty soon there will be a mass hysteria to come to Israel.

That’s how it will happen.

Just like the process of the ingathering, something that has been going on for a while and has now taken on a momentum of its own – the events that have been put in place which will complete this process are about to intensify.

Buckle up.

Contrary to conventional wisdom, the Palestinian issue is not a
primary Middle East concern.

Pro-Western oil-producing Persian Gulf leaders are traumatized by the
lethal Iranian nuclear threat, by a raging Arab Street of their own
and by a potential Iraqi "earthquake" in the aftermath of the US
evacuation. The pro-Western Hashemite regime is threatened by
intensified discontent among its Bedouin power base; the Muslim
Brotherhood hosted an anti-Western Arab
conference in Cairo on July 24-25, 2011; Strategically-critical Turkey
is becoming more-Islamic and less-western; the pro-Western Moroccan
monarchy is imperiled by the ripple effects of the Tunisian, Libyan
and Egyptian turmoil; Islamic terrorism is gaining ground; Russia,
China and North Korea are expanding their penetration into the Middle
East and the US posture of
deterrence is eroding substantially.

However, while the Middle East is burning - irrespective of the
Palestinian issue, of the Arab-Israeli conflict or Israel's policies
and existence - the American and the European foreign policy
establishments are playing the Palestinian fiddle. Their track record
features the support of Khomeini and the betrayal of the Shah, the
embrace of Saddam as a constructive force, the
crowning of Arafat as a messenger of peace, the hailing of Bashar
Assad as a moderate leader, the legitimization of Qadaffi as a
reformed ruler and the idolizing of Mubarak as an Egyptian Rock of
Gibraltar. They are convinced that the Palestinian issue is a root
cause of Middle East turbulence and the crown jewel of Arab
policy-making. Therefore, they assume that the resolution of the
Palestinian issue - by pressuring Israel to yield Judea and Samaria to
the Palestinians - would moderate the Middle East, would subside
anti-Western terrorism, would appease the Arabs, would enhance Western
ties with Arab countries and would facilitate a Western-Arab
coalition against Iran.

But, such foreign policy assumptions are invalidated by the real
Middle East, which highlights the root causes of regional turbulence:
inherent fragmentation, instability, unpredictability, volatility,
violence, terrorism, hate education and tenuous policies, commitments
and alliances. None of these 1,400 year old root causes is related to
the less than 100 year old Palestinian issue.

Arab leaders have never considered the Palestinian issue their prime
concern, but an intra-Arab tool and a pawn against Israel. They are
aware of the subversive and treacherous history of the Arafat-Abu
Mazen wing of the Palestinians, which was therefore expelled from
Egypt in the late 1950s, from Syria in 1966, from Jordan in 1970, from
Lebanon in 1982 and from Kuwait in 1991.

Thus, Arab leaders marshal their rhetoric, but not their resources, on
behalf of Palestinians. For example, during the October 2010 Arab
Summit in Libya, Arab leaders pledged $500MN to the Palestinian - only
seven percent was ever delivered. More than $2 billion were pledged by
the Arabs in support of the first and second Palestinian Intifada
against Israel, but less than $500 million reached the Palestinians.
During the 1980s, Arab financial support of the PLO was less than 10%
of Arab financial support of the anti-Soviet Muslims in Afghanistan.

Arab regimes did not actively support the PLO during its 1982 war (in
Lebanon) against Israeli and they did not flex a significant muscle
on behalf of the Palestinians during the 2008 war in Gaza. In fact,
this has been the Arab attitude toward the Palestinian issue since
1948, irrespective of the identity of the Palestinian leader: Haj Amin
al-Husseini, Shukeiri, Hammuda, Arafat, Abu Mazen or Haniyeh.

The Red Carpet, which welcomes Palestinian leaders in the West, is
transformed into a shabby rug upon landing in Arab capitals. What do
Arab regimes know about the Palestinian issue that Western policy
makers do not know or understand?!

When a modern Jew in Israel reads the words, "And you shall inherit the Land" he understands that this is a directive to put the Land of Israel under the sovereignty of the State of Israel. The way we are used to looking at it, actualization of national sovereignty is the responsibility of the nation state. From the verses in this week's Torah portion, however, it looks like that assumption is incorrect. It is the State's responsibility to conquer the Land and to drive out the enemy. But actualization of the bond between the Land and the Nation is not complete until the Land becomes the personal inheritance of every Jew. The Land of Israel belongs to the Nation of Israel; not only on the national level but also on the personal level. "And you shall inherit the Land - by lot, according to your families."

The bond between a Jew and his Land is holy, similar to the bond of marriage. The Torah commands the relative of a person who loses his property to be the first to buy his lot so that his inheritance will remain inside the family. Further, he is directed to re-sell the lot to its original owner at the first opportunity.

Israel's current situation, in which 93% of the Nation's land is in the hands of the State, opposes this Torah directive and the Return to Zion message of world liberty. This is the real reason for the housing crisis and the pervasive feeling of servitude experienced by the Israeli public.

Norway is a totallydysfunctional country. Last year there were almost 2700 rapes there andall the rapists were Muslim. So to get even, the country's 2000 Jews livein a terror state, told not to wear kippas or appear too Jewish outside,for their own safety. And Norway is Israel's number one enemy inthe West, the premier organizer of Palestinian statehood today, and thepromoters of the ghastly Oslo Accords of the '90s. The disdain of Jewstowards Norway was nowhere clearer to be seen as in the reports of itsrecent terror attacks.

The reports mourned Norway's victims as much as the Norwegians shed tearsover the 1500+ dead Israelis since their Oslo Accords took effect.
        However, both the Jewish andChristian, as well as otherwise sources are painting a very differentpicture of terror than the lone gunman, closed trial, approach of theNorwegian authorities. Let usbegin:

Named by media as 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik, the blond,blue-eyed suspect reportedly owns a vegetable farm, and has posted onChristian fundamentalist websites.
The Norwegian man suspected of bombing downtown Oslo and killing over 85people in a subsequent shooting massacre nearby bought six tons offertilizer recently, according to a local supplier. A spokesperson foragricultural material supplier Felleskjopet told theAssociated Press that the suspect had bought an amount equivalent to200 50-pound bags over several weeks leading up to Friday’s attacks.Fertilizer can be used in homemade bombs and is highly explosive. Thoughmore isn’t yet known about where or how the bomb was detonated, U.S.intelligence officials told the AP that six tons was too much to fit inone vehicle...Moreover, the notion of a lone bomber/gunman is verysuspect, especially one able to kill 91 people, an unprecedented nearlyimpossible feat singlehandedly. Were there others involved?...A dynamiteexpert reported that the visual evidence suggests to him that theexplosion occurred underground. Particularly, he made this conclusionbecause the ground was raised. How would a lone nut be allowed access tothe underground and be able to plant a device there unnoticed? Is it justa coincidence that “sewer/construction work” has been going on in thatprecise area in the days prior to this?

      A midrange car can't even holda ton and still move. So where is the rest of the explosive fertilizer?Perhaps it was planted underground set to go off when it wouldn't harmeven one employee of the government:
Why would a lone terrorist intending to cause damage to the Laborgovernment target downtown Oslo on a public holiday, when many peoplewould have been absent from their posts?
Is it just a coincidence that police ran a live bombing exercise inOslo two days before the attacks?
       Now let's look at thesuspect. We are told he is a fundamentalist Christian. If so, he must bea lone fundamentalist. No other fundamentalist seems to knowhim:

       If he is a "fundamentalistChristian" where did he attend church? Any truly fundamentalistChristian goes to church.

    After driving to town and parking hisexploding car, how did he drive 20 miles north to Utoya Island? You cansay he owned two cars, parked the getaway car far enough away that itwouldn't be caught in the blast, and took a cab home to get the othercar. Or, more sensibly, he was driven to Utoya by someone else who had amotorboat there waiting for him. Conversely, when the campers cell-phonedthe police for help...well, there's never a cop around when you need him.The cops gave the killer(s) 90 minutes to execute the kids for manyreasons; the most hilarious being that their boat sprung a leak.

       Authorities said Breivik alsoowns several firearms and belongs to a gun club; the suspect used pistolsand automatic guns to murder at least 80 young people at the island ofUtoya.

     Doesn't anyone understand Norway's strictgun laws? Nobody can legally acquire an automatic weapon. Hunters don'tbag their reindeer with 30 internally exploding bullets a second. Whogave him the mass murder weapon?

Latest data indicates that Breivik killed at least 84 people, mostlyteenagers, in his shooting rampage at the Utoya Islandwhere Norway‘s ruling Labor Party held a youth camp.
Breivik, described as a right-wing Christian fundamentalist,was reportedly dressed in a police uniform when he opened fire on theteenagers at the youth camp on the Utoya Island.
The shooting survivors quoted by the VG paper, however, areconvinced that there was a second shooter on the island. They claim thatthey saw another man shooting at them who was not wearing a policeuniform, and that they heard firing from two sides.

     And who gave him a police uniform, not acostume, a real uniform? Not the police, who never heard of theguy.

While the suspect reportedly has displayed right-wing politics andanti-Muslim views online, authorities said he did not appear to belong toany of the country’s splintered political extremist groups. “He just cameout of nowhere,” said a police official . “He hasn’t been on our radar,which he would have been if was active in the neo-Nazi groups inNorway.”

     But someone was fixing up his image at thelast second. He had a Twitter account set up with no tweets and oneliterary message, and one idiotic Facebook page:

A Facebook page matching his name and the photo given out by thepolice was set up just a few days ago. It listed his religion asChristian and his politics as conservative. It said he enjoys hunting,the video games World of Warcraft and Modern Warfare 2, and booksincluding Machiavelli’s “The Prince” and George Orwell’s “1984.”
So, this is the information he wanted you to find. Assuming he set upthis page and he is the murderer, these statement could either beprecisely true, deliberate misinformation, or something in between.

      Now, come on tricksters, give us somecredit for rationality. No 32 year old man still plays videogames...while hunting and enjoying Machiavelli. This personality page wastoo violent and political to be real.

       Did he have two differentFacebook pages, one in Norwegian and one in English, and he onlyidentified himself as a Christian and a conservative on the English one?Or did he pause from his murder spree to add "Christian" and"conservative" to his Facebook profile? Or maybe the whole pageis a fake, as has been reported.

      But in creating the killer's plausiblepersonality, someone used the oldest trick in the game: The televisedFair Play For Cuba scam. If you really don't know what that is, theneverything is lost on you anyway.

     Now on to the Labor Party Youth Camp. Thiswas not a camp where kids sing songs and roast weenies around thecampfire. No sirree. This was a criminally anti-semitic indoctrinationand brainwash camp. And guess who showed up just before the attack towish the kids well and pose under a big, plastic Boycott Israel sign, theunbiased Foreign Minister:

At the same time, Norway supports Palestinian independence, de jure UNmembership, and Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store heads an internationalaid committee for Palestine. Moreover, its parliament earlier passedinitiatives critical of Israel, and Finance Minister Kristin Halvorsen(from 2005 - 2009, now Education Minister) proposed boycotting Israeliproducts...The teenagers who took part in Norway's ruling party youthcamp in the island of Utoya met with Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoereand demanded he recognize Palestine on Wednesday, two days before thedeadly terror attack which left many of them dead.
Gahr Stoere told the youths that the Palestinians deserve a country oftheir own and that the occupation must end, Norwegian website Politiskreported. Several of the youths waved signs reading: "BoycottIsrael."

     The next generation of Israel'spolitical enemies were gunned down, execution-style at camp. I'm notsaying Israel had a hand in the massacre. I'm saying that for everyNorwegian eulogizing his child, for once, try to remember that 1500Israelis felt the same pain as you since YOU foisted your peace onthem.

The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews.

Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it, Turkey threw out a million Greeks, and Algeria a million Frenchman. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese -- and no one says a word about refugees.

But in the case of Israel, the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis.

Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world.

Other nations when they are defeated survive and recover, but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed. Had Nasser triumphed last June he would have wiped Israel off the map, and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews.

No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Negroes are executed in Rhodesia. But when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one remonstrated with him.

The Swedes, who are ready to break off diplomatic relations with America because of what we do in Vietnam, did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore, and ball bearings, and serviced his troop trains to Norway.

The Jews are alone in the world. If Israel survives, it will be solely because of Jewish efforts. And Jewish resources.

Yet at this moment Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally. We can rely more on Israel than Israel can rely on us. And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war, to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to America and the West in general.

I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel so will it go with all of us. Should Israel perish the holocaust will be upon us.

Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, the BND, shredded more than 500 pages of documents related to wanted Nazi fugitive Alois Brunner in the 1990s, fueling speculation that he worked for the BND after the war and was being protected by senior German officials, Der Spiegel reported.
A deputy to Eichmann, Brunner assisted in implementing the Final Solution and is held directly responsible for the deaths of at least 130,000 Jews. He is believed to have spent some 40 years hiding in Syria and was later rumored to have fled to South America.
Brunner was wounded twice by letter bombs sent to him – reportedly by the Mossad – during the 40 years he spent in Syria. In 1961 he reportedly lost his left eye in an explosion and in 1980 he lost three fingers in a similar blast.

solution. Israel should drive the Palestinians into Jordan and Lebanon and treat the other Arabs with kind indifference but react with cruelty to any

fight for their own jurisdiction within California? Many would
not. Ethnically, religiously, and even ideologically diverse
states that fail as melting pots dissolve. Who was there first
and who came later does not matter; much of Israel was not
settled fifty years ago. A coherent and importantly distinct
group living compactly is entitled to sovereignty, or at least it
makes sense to give them sovereignty to keep them from living
in perpetual conflict with their neighbors. What, except anti-
Semitism, denies the same logic to the Jews in the Middle
